  Please check if you have followed the steps below to change the action of the Power button.

  By default, clicking on close button in the start menu stop your computer. You can change this so that instead of close, your computer logs you off, crashes, restarts, goes into a State of sleep or goes into hibernation.

  1. open properties of the Start Menu by clicking theStart button, clickingControl Panel,appearance and personalization, then clicking on thetaskbar and Start Menuand the taskbar.

  2. click on theStart Menu tab.

  3. in the list ofthe power button , click an item, and then clickOK.

  When you change the action of the closure of the key, the button name changes to reflect the new action.

  If the steps above do not change the option, you can try creating a new user account on your computer and check to see if it helps you change.

  As 32-bit Windows may be able to address up to 4 GB, an individualized process can use up to 2 GB of space, regardless of how much remains free for use. Using the switch/3 GB can increase the amount of RAM available to applications, but does not increase the size of the system address space and will not increase the maximum amount of RAM used by the system.

  I have a game that uses a text called "letterIn_txt", input field where the user enters a letter and presses a button called "guess_btn", that the user presses after entering a letter in which he transforms into capitals and if the guessed letter is equal to the word inProgress, it replaces it with the letter. I was wondering if I can not press the keys between a - z of preform it makes it easier for the user to play the game.   Try the next method.

  Hold the left SHIFT key you click Shutdown to temporarily prevent hybrid boot.

  You should try to buy a set of disks Recovrey from the manufacturer, or to create them using the software on your computer (see your manual for details). Reinstall using the rigth software to system recovery requires no product key entry.

  If for some reason you can not do the above, see if you can borrow a copy retail of WIndows of the edition of sae as your installation - install that using the default key, then try to activate by phone and speak to an operator.   Dell provided you with restore/recovery media and/or a way to restore the machine 'default' as a key sequence?  If so - you won't need the number--unless they just sent a DVD of Windows 7 nu - and they are usually not unless you ask.

  They have probably installed using their key, which means that even with a utility like Belarc Advisor or ProduKey - you will not get the product key that matches the one on the sticker.

  Some may have you take several different digital pictures of the sticker from different angles and see if you can decipher the missing characters like that (you'd be surprised to see how that works).
