  Go to start / Default programs / associate a file or Protocol with a program and do scroll up until you get in .txt.  It's probably on the notebook.  Click on change and change for Microsoft Word (you may need to search for winword.exe somewhere in Program Files) and save your work and exit.  In the future, .txt files will be opened with Microsoft Word.

  If this happens with the .doc, .docx, .rtf, or other files that MS Word can open, and then do the same with these types of files that you did with .txt above.

  I bought online a source a CV that was sent to me through using Adobe PDF.  I would like that to save the PDF as a Word document and when I press download and invited to convert to MS, it just takes back me as a gateway to revollving to advertise for the purchase of Adobe and return to the PDF file.  Please help me get my PDF into a word document.  Does anyone out there know of a way?

  You can convert PDF to Word using the online service ExportPDF, or Acrobat. I checked your account, and it's not like you have purchased a subscription ExportPDF. If you want to try Acrobat, we invite you to download a 30 day trial from the link that I reference above. In Acrobat, choose file > save as other > Microsoft Word > Word Document.

  I recently bought a Toshiba Tecra and when I tried to use Microsoft word, he asked for a product key. Then I entered the product key written on the sticker under my laptop and he seems to recognize at all. Ask me to retype.

  Please check back the sticker product key on the lower side of your laptop. You see that this product key is for Microsoft Office? No, you see that it s product for Windows!

  So if you want to use Word or Office, you can buy a copy. Only a trial version is installed but not the full version.

  First we get a form of proof digital printers as .pdf. Sometiems. what they save them with compatible PDF. This makes my job more difficult because will get ilustrator asking all the links when you open the PDF.

  My images - (so far I tried a Photoshop eps and a press high resolution pdf from InDesign)-which are placed in a MS Word document, print very soft, with blur/jagged edges. The color is a little more.

  All images, of course, print in Adobe and Pages products Apple software. My client, however, uses Office and it should work in MS Word, and I have to make it work. I know that it's possible... but after hours of fiddling, trials and research I don't have a solution.

  You know the password? Otherwise, the security policy does not allow adding comments in the file, then there is nothing you can do about it.

  Hi Jason,

  Can't you see it's not "SECURE" in the title bar for documents where the tools are grayed out? If you do, which would indicate that the document has been password protected and perhaps editing restrictions.
