How can I activate prelude in a search criterion complex logging software

HelloW everyone...

I need to configure prelude to be a video data base of thousands of quicktime videos and turn them into a video data base by adding keywards on each of them

For example (name of the city, model of camera, day or night, clogged etc...)

The problems that I have are the following

(1) I can't find a way (either by using markers, or metadata) so that the title (City) turns into a column of prelude (idont mind the editable field, but in order to be sorted)

(2) when I write about search keywords field of the location such as 5 d (camera model) he finds not only the clips that I've previously marked as 5 d, but also any that contain the world or even part

(3) I find no way to do an advanced search (Boolean) as (city, date) (not even made a pass 2 research, (isolates the clips with the name of the city I get City) and to add a second search - with their sorting criterion, it resets the second research)

(A) I understand that prelude is not a database application, but there is a cheat for the above scenario... ?

(B) please don't give me the use of the first new feature to search bins. (it must be done inside prelude)

PS would not be a good request?

HI -.

Thanks for the post.

You can get what you are looking for with Prelude but you will need to write custom code - which we call custom panels - which connect to your database and fill the Prelude project with the TITLE column. Signs are written in HTML5/Javascript and have broad access to the capabilities of the Prelude, and are used to extend the functionality and integrate with things like the SMMA (Media Asset Managers), which is close to what you are looking to create.

The current search mechanism of the prelude does not support logical operations (AND, OR, etc.). It's something we have in our backlog to allow more advanced search/filtering. We also have in our backlog functionality to allow the user to add additional columns in our panel of project based on any metadata or the tag field.

And Yes - good feature request that we are examining.

Thank you!

Michael
