How can I add a message sender to contacts

When I receive a message from someone who is not in my contacts, in other e-mail clients, I can right-click on the message or select a menu option "Add sender to contacts". What is the best way to do this in Thunderbird?

Another way to do is to click on the star to the right of the name of the senders or address. If the star is filled with color the contact is already in one of your address books. If the star is not met, clicking on it will add to the address book. Clicking on a star filled will open the dialog box change to this contact.

This isn't the same star which is located to the left of the message header when you view the Inbox. It is the right address when you view a message in a tab or the messages pane. You can see the stars in the screenshot above.
