  My iPad appears fine with an option to import the 'new' photos and then delete them once they are imported. However my iPhone appears not at all on the pictures. Although most is already imported via the cloud, some are not, but more importantly, I would remove at least half of 30 000 photos that are taking place on my phone and a "clear items after button import" would be nice right now! I tried to turn off photo stream on my phone, but it still does not appear in the application.

  If you use iCloud photo library you cannot delete pictures after the import (or) - deletions on any device will be on all devices - if storage is a question about a device set to use optimized photos

  You need to set up the sharing of the family: family shares - Apple Support. You can then each have exhib photo albums and also have a shared family album.

  My daughter moved into a House with the lousy broadband (0.5Mbit / s!).  She had already signed for storage iCloud and used pictures of iCloud for several years with his iPhone & iPad.  She has now a large number of photos & videos (ex iPhone & iPad) in iCloud, but also a large number of old photos in her photo album on his MBP (which she didn't register to iCloud Photos with).  I would get all of his photos on iCloud and in Photos in his MBP, and she can stop trying to use the thing iCloud until she gets a better broadband connection (and just sync with USB, in the traditional way!).

  I use iCloud Photos myself and find it very confusing - iCloud Photos, photo, pictures of iCloud sharing stream...

  However, I don't see an easy way of simply by downloading everything.  If I access iCloud Photos via Safari, I can download photos, but there seems to be no option "Select all", then by selecting several hundred photos will be tedious say the least.

  If I sign his MBP Photos up to iCloud, it goes, I guess, download all her photos to iCloud, ok, BUT, it will automatically download all her old photos on iCloud and probably exceed its storage limit, but also take a long time (45 GB - if I have fiber at home, so perhaps tolerable).

  I did a little research and can find no easy answers.  One possibility is to create an empty photo library on the MBP, sign up to iCloud, wait for synchronization, the export of all photos in a folder, re-import the old library of Photos and then delete again.  Seems possible, but tedious.

  All the best ideas?

  FWIIW, my daughter MBP is a mid-2009 13 ", just updated (by the family IT Manager!) to el Capitan. a little slow and only 250 and only 70 GB available.

  Go to a place where the internet is faster. Turn on iCloud photos on Mac.

  This will put all the photos in the cloud and on Mac.

  Once done, turn off iCloud photo library.

• How can ensure me that the photos in my InDesign files are high resolution, when I send these files to a colleague? (Keep as .indd)

  I quit my job and we've been download all my files on Google Drive InDesign to prepare, so that my boss/employees can use and access my work. My boss has found that it cannot download the files without the pictures in documents turns out to be super low resolution. It is not just the screen on his computer (although they don't LOOK really terrible). They also print in very low resolution. I can print and view the SAME files in high resolution, when I work on my computer, and when I export documents in PDF, JPEG, PNG, etc and THEN give him the files, they are at the appropriate resolution. Who did all well and dandy, but... Given that I'm the only designer on staff, and I'm going, I'll be able to deliver my documents to my boss/employees. Help? Thank you!

  Where are the pictures of the original publication stored? When you compress all these images must be collected in a folder where your save file compressed. What is this copied or moved folder structure of (new machine, a different location on a local disk, dropbox, etc.), ID will need to be re-edited them once again, when the publication is open.

  But the structure of the folder must be copied on computer the boss', not only the file ID. If you all are not configured to use the exact same dropbox folder system and work from it.

  Now I can't access the VIEW tab to restore. How can I change back so that this Menu will appear at the top of my screen?

  1. F11 toggle full screen
  2. Move mouse in the upper part of the screen to menu bars, if show you them
  3. 'Alt + V' - to bring up the View Menu

  I went to re - install the application via the application manager, but noted that it is not an option in this sense. He thinks that everything has been installed correctly

  

  So I uninstalled Photoshop CC and was about to re - install when I noticed that Adobe Application manager still thinks that it is installed. Surely, I can't restart to remind him that its uninstalled? And certainly there must be a way to re - install an application, rather than go through unisntall and reinstall them.

  I try to install my CC software on a new computer and its all changed. I tried to download just LR, but which is not like the usual web download and I cannot say what percentage he does or where he updates the file. Augh.

  After a lot of head banging and research, I came to this page: Troubleshooting download and install questions that suggested that the problem was perhaps with Adobe Application Manager (AAM) and that I should turn it off. I did it and here it actually downloaded and let me run the installer of the creative cloud desktop application. Pretty quickly too. What a pain!
