At present, the web application uses a field type 'Text (hyperlink)' to connect to the downloaded pdf but it obviously isn't working right (it works well, but it's somewhat truncated and unacceptable). It doesn't seem to be an area that will allow me to direct a link to the appropriate folder and file.

  Create a custom field type - image. The image is a kind of media actually and you can select several images then just. This will allow to browse the file in admin and download it.

  After much research, I found the answer. Start with, rather than using a .bat file, I used the wizard of the Action to set up a script. Then, I put the script to process all the files in a given folder. I changed the folder that will contain all the files in .pdf (including attachments) that I wanted to deal with. Then, I wrote the following javascript code:

  Yes, it isn't command line as I originally wanted, but there is still work for what I need to do. It looks like you can trigger an action from a VBA Macro or something, even though at this point, I think it's more trouble that it's worth. in any case, I hope this helps anyone who has the same problem!
