Removing adware Safe Finder

I recently removed malware 'Advanced Mac cleaner', and I think it was successful.  However, when I use Safari, I have this "safe Finder" in my browser.  It seems to be slow me down, and I can't remove it.  In support, I found the directions to install the latest version of El Capitan, and did.  I have rebooted but still have such things "Safe Finder" which I don't want.  I would like to help removing it, and know what else may have infected my Macbook Pro.  Thank you!

Hello

In your Safari menu bar, click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab, then click: delete all data Web site

Then return to your menu bar, click history > clearhistory.

Quit and then restart Safari all holding the key SHIFT key.

If this does not help, you can use the free Malwarebytes utility to remove it.

  • Remove (adware) Firefox 38.

I have a bug that overwrites the data in the Start Page for Firefox 38. There is a link. I really want to get rid of it. Ran Ad-aware, Malware - didn't find it. It only happens in Firefox. Can you help me?

It is not adware, it's a feature of Firefox that Mozilla uses from time to time.

It you like it, there are 3 ways to get rid of him.

The best way to get around that is just to create your own home page and do not use the 'default' on: homepage.
See - How to set the home page

You can use this UserStyle - https://userstyles.org/styles/104673/about-home-hide-snippets-and-hide-brand-logo - to hide the two sections of the about: home page House that Mozilla sends messages and videos when they feel the "need".

Many of us have disabled the changes made to the top [brandLogo part] of the Start Page of Firefox and off advertising "excerpts" [under the reservoir of research] that Mozilla uses all the time now, so we don't see this "thing".

If you feel adventurous, here's how to 'fix '.
Type of topic: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Accept the message of 'dragons' to see the Advanced preferences screen. Use the search box at the top to enter the below pref.

You can assign an empty string to stop your Firefox to retrieve "extracts" and brandLogo changes the browser.aboutHomeSnippets.updateUrl pref. Right-click this pref and select Edit then clear the value as pref in the box that appears, and then click OK. Who will also disable "snippets" that appear under the container of the research on the default home page.

Then you must open the folder of your profile, via help > Troubleshooting Information > profile folder > > folder view button. Then close Firefox.
Your profile file open with Firefox closed (Firefox '3-bar' menu key > exit/Quit), wait two minutes, then remove the storage\moz-safe-about + House folder in the profile folder of Firefox to remove the brandLogo and stored in IndexedDB code snippets to make Firefox use the default brandLogo and a defined default code snippet.

Restart Firefox for these changes to take effect.

If you later change your mind about these changes, you can reset the pref browser.aboutHomeSnippets.updateUrl via the context menu and Reset to retrieve the default to start to use the storage\moz-chest-fort-about + House record once again.

  • How to remove Adware.180Solutions on Windows XP?

I scan every day with AVG and it said I have Adware.180Solutions on my computer.  I can't remove/change or other names, list by what he will.  How do I remove it more Windows XP?

According to Symantec, you should look in Control Panel > Add / Remove programs to180ax, msbb, bag, healthy, salm, ISC, zanu

Assuming that what you searched and could not find, I suggest that you download, install, update and run a full scan with two following ways without scanners (but do not work at the same time both scans)

    MalwareBytes AntiMalware
    SUPERAntiSpyware

You can uninstall scanners once you are finished with them, if you wish.

  • How to remove adware (mystartsearch)

Hello, I tried several steps to manually remove this adware, but it always appears as my start page.
    -I wasn't able to disable add-ons (he wasn't).
-I was not able to uninstall it from the control panel (it wasn't).
-J' ran regedit.exe and manually deleted every line that read "mystartsearch."
-J' refreshed Firefox and manually set the default start page.
Not good. It's still there. I also tried to open Internet Explorer and which is also infected.
What can I do else? Any advice would be really appreciated.

That appear when you launch a new window (Ctrl + n) instead of your home page, or only when you are using the Firefox shortcut on your desktop or the taskbar?

Some malware will modify your browser shortcuts. To check that:

Right click on the shortcut of Firefox > properties > Shortcut tab

For 64-bit Windows, the 'target' should be either not less the following:

    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe"

If everything that follows, be sure to remove it.

It's the same idea for IE (but I'm not familiar with IE on Windows 8.1)
