How can I change the version CS5 Windows for a Mac version?

I want to change from Windows to Mac, but I can't afford to buy products.  It is the only way or is it some sort of transfer?

Once I've upgraded, the complexity is the transfer process and is there a fee involved?

You need not make the transfer process as your CS5.5 is not transferable.

You would have to pay the cost of upgrade to upgrade to CS6 CS5.5

If you choose this route, just buy CS6 for Mac (upgrade version). Not more to see.

CS6 install on your Mac (no need to install first CS5.5), enter your CS6 (Mac) update the serial number and then enter your serial number CS5.5 (Win) when you are prompted.

And I'm embarrassed to say that my knowledge of the cloud is limited.  Why do you recommend to reach in relation to the discussion?

I am Advisor, not necessarily to join. It's your decision, based on reading the material on the Adobe Web site.

I do not work for Adobe. Just giving you options. I have no idea of your needs or requirements or workflows. Only you know who and if the cloud is worth your time and fits your budget.

The cloud is available by subscription only and gives you access to current versions of almost all the headlines of Adobe software. Visit the website to see exactly what is and is not included. When you stop paying your monthly contribution, your software stops working.
