  • How can I change the time screen idol before it goes black?

I need to know how to change the time that you set for when your screen becomes black for safety when you are in a public place and to go to the toilet or something foot. Where should I go to change the time limit, so I can't move my mouse while I watch a film to avoid my screen goes black?

    Hello kimberlyJennings,

You can change the time display goes off by visiting the Power Options.

    1. open Control Panel.

    2. click on the power Option icon.

    3. in the power Option window, click on the map to change the settings in the section balanced (assuming you are using the balanced plan) favorite plans.

    4. within the parameters of change of plans: window balanced, you will see an option to "turn off the display.

    5. click on the down arrow in the right dialog box to disable display option (it should read 10 minutes or 20 minutes).

    6. in the drop-down list select never at the bottom of the list. You can, if you want to choose anything between the two but I prefer the display to never turn off.

    7. click the button to save the changes.

    8. finally get out of the power options window, and then close Control Panel.

    9. now, your screen is never extinguished.

Please note that this also applies when you leave your PC to visit the toilet; your screen is never extinguished unless you select another option of time.

    Hi Martin,

These are run time messages and you can replace it by following this procedure:

If you want to change specific labels that you cannot change through Captivate, you can do this with the strings.txtfile, which is located in the folder of instalation Adobe Captivate > en_US

    1 open the file

    2. change any label you want

    3. record.

    4 rename in strings.zdct

    5. replace the original strings.zdct file

    6. restart Captivate

I suggest you original strings.zdct and strings.txt backup - just in case files.

    Kind regards

    MILIN

  • When starting, how can I change the Welcome screen?

I would just start and open my own office, but still need me the blue welcome screen then I have to click on my user name. I only use the administrator user account. so I would just ignore the Welcome screen.

I don't know there's an answer posted somewhere in the title of the help, but I can't seem to find it.

You don't mention what version of Windows XP you have It makes a difference.

In addition, your statement "I only use the user administrator account" sounds like you are using the built-in account named Administrator.  It is a bad idea.

You must create an account for daily use.  If you want to have a "computer administrator" privileges, you can do (although several security experts advise you not to connect to the Internet with an administrator account, I think that the vast majority of XP users do it anyway).

If the built-in Administrator account becomes corrupted (happens), you will be in a much more difficult situation than if you had saved it "only emergency cases."

  • How can I change the black screen?

I just install Elements 8 and I'm very unhappy with the black screen and the small print - very difficult to navigate and read.  I change in the preferences in the light, but the top menu is completely black!    As a note to this addition - I updated since version 4 and found that all cuts of nice went to 8 and I have to go to 4 and put all my cutouts, brushes and textures in this new version.  Not a happy camper with this update!

"I have change in preferences in the light, but then the top menu is completely black!

I suspect that the menus are actually present in their usual position: However, due to the brightness and contrast on your monitor settings, you do not see the menus because their text is now black and the area surrounding the menus is always dark when you set preferences from the Publisher to the light.

How can I change the name of a bookmark or folder. Focused on aid, I see not a response to this specific problem.

    1. Select bookmarks > organize bookmarks.

Another way to do is with the bookmarks bar:

    1. Choose view > sidebar > bookmarks.
    2. Right click on the bookmark or folder to rename, and then click Properties.
    3. In the name box, change the name of the element.
    4. Click Save.

The ability to rotate the screen image is a characteristic of your video
card, to help work with instructors who turn to the portrait
orientation. Almost certainly you accidentally pressed Ctrl-Alt, and
    an arrow key.

    Rotate using these keys.
