How can I configure 6 Lightroom to import only new images?

When I import images in LR6 despite the "new photos" checked LR identifies simply all images on the card to import even if a number are already in my catalog.  How can I set LR to uniquely identify the new photos.  It worked in earlier versions.

On the right side of the import dialog box, make sure you have "Don't Import suspected duplicates" checked.

    Something is wrong with the associations of files on your computer. Lightroom is not designed to be an application that starts when the image files are open. It was apparently a gap that existed at one time but supposedly has been eliminated. Check your file associations and delete Lightroom as the application associated with image files.

    You can not. Two Apple factor authentication is a feature of iOS and OS X, based on your AppleID being associated with iCloud account to send and receive authentication 6-digit codes. An AppleID that is not associated with iCloud account cannot be used for 2-factor authentication.

    HEY Chi - Lun,

    I don't think that this is possible as many number format. You should be able to insert A in a text string using a formula, but this would happen in a second cell, not that the number has been entered.

    "Assuming all the"numbers require the same inserted letter after the second number, this should do the work."number" entered in column A; the formula in column B. In the table below, your value as an example is A6.

    As far as I can see there is no easy way to do this. However, an easy option is to have the Thunderbird in the system tray on hitting the close instead of closing button. The add-on "Minimize on start and close" for Thunderbird accomplishes this mission and to close all what you need to do is right-click on the icon in the taskbar, and then click close to close actually it.
