How can I draw a rectangle?

I need to simulate a drawing of a rectangle with the Rectangle tool in a script. One way is to use the earpiece of Script and modify the code, so I can pass the necessary variables. Is there a better solution? Thank you.

You can draw a rectangle as follows.

#target photoshop;
app.bringToFront();

main();
function main(){
try{
app.displayDialogs = DialogModes.NO;
var strtRulerUnits = app.preferences.rulerUnits;
var strtTypeUnits = app.preferences.typeUnits;
app.preferences.rulerUnits = Units.PIXELS;
app.preferences.typeUnits = TypeUnits.PIXELS;
var Colour = new SolidColor;
Colour.rgb.hexValue = 'ff00ff';
app.documents.add();
activeDocument.selection.select([[10, 10], [494, 10], [494, 350], [10,350]], SelectionType.REPLACE, 0, false);
activeDocument.selection.stroke (Colour, 4, StrokeLocation.INSIDE,ColorBlendMode.NORMAL,100);
activeDocument.selection.deselect();
}catch(e){}
finally{
app.preferences.rulerUnits = strtRulerUnits;
app.preferences.typeUnits = strtTypeUnits;
};
};

  • can't draw a rectangle!

    I had 8 fireworks for more than a year, and the other day started this problem: I can't draw a rectangle with sharp corners.

    I select the normal rectangle tool, not the rounded corners. As I drag my mouse to make the rectangle, the value of the rounded corners begins counting upward and usually ends at 100 until I finished the drawing rectangle. If I draw the rectangle very quickly, I'll end with a value of 83 or something.

    I work around this problem by resetting the value of corners rounded to 0 each time. I can still work, but it's a pain to reset to 0 every time that I try to draw a rectangle.

    Anyone know how to fix?

    You hold the arrow keys while dragging the rectangle?

  • How can I draw the intensity in real time of a picture in time real (imaq 1394)?

    I have a firewire camera.

    I hooked up my camera to my pc with labview and now I display image in real time. How can I draw the intensity of a region dependent on time?
    Y - intensity
    X - time... I would watch the variaions real-time intensity...

    Thanks in advance

    The light meter example is pretty much what you want to do. It is located here:

    \National Instruments\\examples\Vision\2. Functions\Light Meter\Light meter Example.llb\Light meter Example.vi

    In the example, the x axis are the number of iteration, but it is easy to modify to use a graphic instead of a graph and chart the time instead.

    Hope that helps.

  • How can I draw a line around the edge of a piece of property that I shot a video clip of 13 elements?

    How can I draw a line around the edge of a piece of real estate in a video clip with 13 elements?

    KING OF THE SKY

    First 13 items on what operating system? Have you updated 13 to 13.1 still using Help Menu/updates to date of an open project?

    Your question immediately... you could try something like this

    In this scenario, you start with your video on video 1 track with the Timeline indicator placed in the appropriate location of content timeline.

    The Titler line file created will be automatically placed at the position of the indicator in the timeline.

    Text Menu/New/default of titration / and select the Section forms.

    The Titler file goes to Video Track 2 above the video on the video 1 track.

    Select the line tool in the section shapes and draw your line on screen correspond to the where you want it to appear in the video below.

    Your image of the line is the line on transparent background where the content below shows through the transparent areas in this image of the line.

    Please consider. If any questions or need any clarification on the above, do not hesitate to ask.

    Thank you.

  • How can I draw a grid of n by n (for example...) 18 by 18) in a rectangle, I drew?

    I drew a simple rectangle (square in fact), and I want to grid in squares of size.  How can I do this in photoshop?  I have access to CS 5.1.  Thank you

    Chris

    Hi Chris,

    In fact, this can become a complex process. A simple a quick way to do this is to use the grid view in Photoshop.

    Open your image and go to view > Show > grid.

    If you need to sharpen the divisions and the dimensions of the grid, you can go to Photoshop > Preferences > Guides, grids, and slices. This will allow you to designate the size of the grid to align with the dimenstions of your image and the divisions you want to create. It can take a little tweaking and some math to get the divisions aligned exactly on your image. Alternatively, you can resize your image to align with the grid.

    Then, take the line tool from the toolbar. If you don't, it could be hiding under another form tool - you can get it by clicking and holding the shape tool icon.

    Now you can zoom in on your canvas and start "trace" on the lines of the grid on a new layer. As you click and drag the line tool, hold Shift on your keyboard to create perfectly straight lines. You can change the color and STROKE of the size of your line using the settings in the tool menu line at the top of your screen.

    Once you are done with the tracing on the grid lines, go to the show > view > grid to disable the grid. Now, your image must have an evenly spaced grid 'placed' on it.

    There is another method to add a grid on an image in which you create a template and superimposed directly on the image, but it's a little bit more complicated. The advantage of the method above is the grid that you created is a vector, which means that you can resize it if necessary, something the method works well for.

    I hope this helped, if you have any questions or encounter problems with this method, thanks for posting here again.

    Good luck!

  • How can I stop the rectangle borders to cut?

    I have a rectanlgle of the same size as the artboard. I added a border of 2px around the rectangle. It is centered vertically and horizontally to the artboard. When I save it as a PNG (except for the web) the border gets cut.

    How can I avoid this?

    I use illustrator CC (64)

    But make sure that use Preview Bounds is checked in the preferences.

  • How can I draw a curved line?

    Sorry for the inconvenience, but I tried the Photoshop information and could not succeed.

    What should I do to draw a curve?  I have no problem, draw a straight line, it's pretty easy, but I was not able to find a way draw curves and get the same results to draw a straight line.  I tried to work with the Pen tool and I could draw some curved paths, but as I said that a path is something abstract, I can't work with it as a stright line.  I m pretty sure that the answer is simple, but I was not able to understand.  Can someone help me please?

    Howdy.

    But, how can I caress a path?

    To create your path, click on the button "Create a new path", second from right at the bottom of the garbage can. Select the pen tool. Draw your way. Click on the small triangle at the top right (highlighted). Select the path of the path.

    Select an option for how you want to stroke the path. I chose the brush. Brush properties are applied to the way such as a stroke.

    That's all. It will be useful.

    Peace,

    Lee

    PS: Semaphoric: did not know the shortcut. Thanks for the tip.

  • How can I draw in straight lines in CS3?

    I would use pencil so I can freely draw straight lines to make any kind of shape, just like the screen below. As we shift on Photoshop and using the pencil holding. Is there another way to do it?

    This was made using a rectangle and anchor point, but it's a pain to do!

    Sem título.jpg

    Thank you

    I think you want the pen tool. If you click on a point, then another while to now shift, it will draw straight lines to 90 or 45 degrees. You should be able to do what you want in this way by clicking on each corner quickly, while now shift.

    To close your box, click again on the first anchor point. (He likely to change to a circle to indicate that you are going to close the path).

  • How can I change the Rectangle on the canvas?

    Hi guys,.

    I have problems editing the rectangle rounded on a blank white canvas. I drew the rectangle on the canvas, but he comes back in a black color.

    How can I change white? When I go to 'Edit' then 'fill' I select the first color plan and white can. The problem is the rounded rectangle and then disappears all together into the white background.

    Also, how can I add the drop shadow and alter the race? I unlocked this layer then went in the blending options and checkmark the option shadow drop, but it is not always appear on the rounded rectangle...

    I'm very confused by all this so would appreciate your help.

    Thank you.

    Sunil.

    Do not use the magic wand to do this. With your white rectangle selected, go to control panel tracks and Ctrl + click the vector layer mask. This will make a selection of the mask.

  • How can we change artboard rectangle programmatically by?

    Hello

    I want to change the values left, top, right and bottom of the rectangle work plan.

    I found the API () AIDocumentSuite::SetDocumentCropBox and play it as below

    AIRealRect cropBox = {0, 850, 1700, 0}; left, right, up, down

    error = sAIDocument-> SetDocumentRulerUnits (kCentimetersUnits);

    error = sAIDocument-> SetDocumentCropBox (& cropBox);

    error = sAIDocument-> RedrawDocument ();

    After that, the document will appear as in the file ArtBoard.jpg (attached here).

    Thus, this .jpg files which Im guessing is, a new art is created instead of change values already present work plan.

    I don't want to create a new work plan, I just need to change the values of work plan rectangle. How can I do this?

    Another option is to use the AICropAreaSuite (AICropArea.h). This will work best if you are looking to modify a plan of work among many others in CS4. This should work if there is a work plan or many work plans. Simply call AICropAreaSuite::Get() and who will get "properties" the nth work plan, which is an AIRealRect. Then call AICropAreaSuite::Update() when you are finished.

    Properties AICropAreaPtr = 0;

    sCropArea-> Get (i, & properties);

    change the properties-> m_CropAreaRect

    sCropArea-> update (i, properties);

    Omar

    Hi Omar.

    In fact, maybe there was something missing. I don't think that the Border option available at the time I did similar actions. This option will get rid of some of the factor of the hack. In any case, I'm on CS3. The two border & contractual options are available. The Border option merges 2 steps 1. Contract 1px & invert the selection is replaced by border 1px.

    New and improved slightly:

    4. Select the drawing area

    5. menu > select > modify > Border: 1px.

    6. complete white.

    See if it works.

  • How can I draw dynamic data that I get a hardware DAQ against each other?

    Hi all

    I am trying to acquire voltage and current data of DAQ hardware. My goal is plotted against votlagein current a continuous path. As the votlage is increased at intervals of 1 Volt, every second I want to see how the current. However, this data is dynamic and I need help find how to draw in a single chart. Any thoughts on how to draw the two different dynamic data against each other in the same graph?

    You help will be very appreciated.

    Thank you

    If I understand what you're saying, looks like you want to have the update of XY graph with each new data point (or points) acquired, but also choose to keep the previous data on the XY graph.  If that's what you're after, I build on my previous example.  For the method of use of the express VI build XY graph, you can simply double click on it and uncheck the "erase data on each call.  For the other method of construction of the dashboard cluster, you will need to add a few records to offset to maintain the previous itterations table values.  Here's the updated image:
