  1. Click the "Start" menu in the bottom left of Windows. Then select "Default programs".
  2. Click on the option "Associate any type of file or Protocol with a program."
  3. Select the file type you want to change the types of files listed. For example, if you want the text (.txt) file to open it in Microsoft Word instead of WordPad, choose '.txt '.
  4. Click on the "Change Program" button in the upper right window.
  5. In the list of programs, select "Microsoft Word". If Microsoft Word does not appear in the list, click on the button 'Browse' in the bottom right and choose Microsoft Word on your computer.

  Hello I have implemented a JavaScript from Adobe that expire after a certain date. However, the script asks both on the computer that can be changed. I thought that maybe I could get the time from a server NTP, NIST, which cannot be changed. However, I can't understand how to call and get the time server using JavaScript.   The main problem with anything that is based on JavaScript is that it can be turned off easily, in order to place you in the document code will not work. Or a PDF Viewer that can't stand not JavaScript can be used. A form can submit to a server that can return a response that could include the current time.

I have Windows XP Home Edition.  My PC clock and date change every time I turn on my PC.  I set the time and date when I turn it on, but then when the PC was interrupted and I next turn to the, (after a period of time) the time and date will be incorrect - a few months and hours.  I have looked for ways to solve this problem, but couldn't find anything.  Any suggestion would be appreciated.   I open a lot of Illustrator EPS and PDF in Photoshop - I need to convert to TIFF.

  By default, they open with the layer on Layer 1. So I always have to change that to melt before the Save in tiff format.

  I know that its just an extra step, but when I think of the thousands of files I opened over the years which represents several hours of my life.

  Does anyone know a way to stop what is happening so that files open by default in the background?

  I know that I can create an Action - but its still an extra click so it won't save me any time.

  Also, I realize account opening in 1 layer retains transparency - I need from time to time. In an ideal world, I would have a setting in preferences to open in the background by default. Then in the import box that appears when I open a file, I would have a checkbox that says something like: "Allow the transparency" so that I could open in 1 layer on the rare occasions I need.

  I would just do an action to flatten the image, then set it to a shortcut key.  I have this on my computer - just press F4 (my shortcut key) and it is flattened.
