  You should be able to simply drag and drop files from the folders tree in the library of your network drive module. Attention to the progress bar in the upper left corner of the screen of Lightroom and make sure that you do not close Lightroom while the transfer is in progress.

  There is no need to be terriefied. The "dreaded"? "isn't so bad.

  The best way to go about this is:

  (1) in Lr / Grid View / files Panel (left side) put all your image files under folder of one of their parents. If this is already the case, you can skip this step. To do this, just create a new folder and name it descriptive. Then drag-and - drop your image in addition to this newly created folder files. This will make all the image files subfolders in the folder of one of their parents.

  (2) close Lr. In the Finder of Mac / Win Explorer to move the newly created parent folder (wil together all its subfolders) on external hard drive you. This is important: Do not rename the files or change the structure of folder at this point.

  (3) Lr re - open. In the files Panel, you will see the | "dreaded" "? -don't panic! Right click (i.e. click the right - as opposed to left - button you rmouse) parent folder he that you created earlier and now shows the question mark and select . Navigate to the location of the folder on your external drive parent and select it. LR will find all subfolders on its own.

  That's all there is to it.

  The problem is with the settings of your monitor. One of the buttons on the front of your monitor will take you in the settings of your monitor.   The Shift IMAQ function does not read the header information and don't know your reticle.  You can add header information to the image by using the merge feature overlay IMAQ as shown in my picture as an attachment and function Shift IMAQ will actually see these data.

  Have you selected all before copying?

  Otherwise if you select a part of an image, once completed the outline press (mobile dotted) Ctrl + J (Cmd + J) which will copy into a new transparent layer. You can drag a white background below.

  My suggestions-

  1. Uninstall LR5. It out of your system, you use it again.

  2. find your catalog file (a file of type. LRCAT) using the operating system (Windows Explorer / Mac Finder)

  3. open the xxx. LRCAT file (double click or Right click/open)

  As ManiacJoe says above-

  LR6/CC will transfer your data LR5 in a new catalog of LR6 format with a "-2" added at the end of the name; your catalog LR5 remains unchanged.

  4. When you then open Lightroom, the default catalog will be the converted catalog.

  Consider the catalog 'old' LR5 as a backup only. (If you try to open a second time, you will have an another LR6/cc catalog called xxx-2 - 2.lrcat)

  AND-you, the pictures are NOT IN LIGHTROOM! They exist in the folders on your computer. The Lightroom Catalog is a database that displays thumbnails that have a 'link' to your photos.

  AND you don't have to "Move" anything! Everything remains exactly where it was, (Images, catalog)

  horizontally.
