How can I open my favorite like THE bookmark in a folder veiw

I wish I could review my Firefox bookmarks another sort of a drop-down list, with that I would like to be able to open a file that would remain open so I could sort, manage, or delete all the bookmarks that I need to work.

See view > sidebar

  • You can enable or disable the power bookmarks bar by ' display > lateral bars > bookmarks "or Ctrl + B
  • You can enable or disable the sidebar story power by ' display > lateral bars > History "or Ctrl + H

Press F10, or press the Alt key to bring up the 'Menu Bar' temporarily if the menu bar is hidden.

  • How can I get my favorites in the place than before?

I used to be able to access my favorites from a star icon and menu in the top right of the screen. Now that's gone and a menu blinking in and out. I'd rather have this back to the old. Please let me know how this can be arranged.

Hi, the Bookmarks button could return to the main menu. So to open the main menu (three bars) > customize and if you can see it, drag it to the location of your choice > exit customize, to save. Hope that helps.

I'm not sure of the workflow that you follow, but you can open PDF files with the Adobe Reader application. According to my understanding, you try to open an e-book from a library and requires the Adobe Digital Editions software. You can download it here: download | Adobe Digital Editions

  • How can I recover my favorites from the previous version of Firefox?

I just loaded the new version of Firefox. My Favorites from the previous version have disappeared. How can I get back them? I went through the provided recovery method, nothing.

Do you still have backups of bookmark in the bookmarkbackups folder?

You have an "Old data Firefox" folder on the desktop in the case where you have refreshed Firefox and created a new profile?

You can retrieve the form of the data of the 'Old Firefox Data' folder, but be careful.

You can copy files like these in your current Firefox profile folder.

    • bookmarks/history: backups in the bookmarkbackups folder and perhaps places.sqlite, if you really need the history
    • other SQLite files cookies.sqlite (cookies) and formhistory.sqlite (saved form data)
    • logins. JSON and signons3.txt (decryption key) of the saved passwords in password manager
    • Permissions.SQLite and, possibly, content - prefs.sqlite permissions and Site preferences
    • cert8. DB for stored intermediate certificates (Certificate Manager)
    • sessionstore.js to open and pinned tabs and tab groups
    • Persdict.dat for the words that you added to the spelling dictionary

Note that "Reset/Refresh" creates a new default profile with a time stamp to identify it and trying to retrieve settings such as Favorites and history and history and cookies and passwords, data of automatic filling of the old profile, but you lose data such as the installed extensions and other customizations.
The current profile folder will be moved to the "Old Firefox Data" folder on the desktop.

  • How can I move my favorites in the menu bar of the bookmarks toolbar?

Once I upgraded my firefox to version 6, all my favorites that were previously in my bookmarks bar are now in the menu bar and the bookmarks bar appears just with no button. How can I move back to their own bar bookmarks? I would like to hide the menu bar.

    Thank you.

Make sure the bookmarks toolbar is visible and "Bookmarks Toolbar items" are always placed on the bookmarks toolbar.

If the menu bar is hidden, then press F10, or press and hold the ALT key, which should make the "menu bar" appear.

Make sure the toolbars like the toolbar 'Navigation' and the 'personal bar' are visible: "view > toolbars".

    • Open the Customize via "view > toolbars > customize" or "Firefox > Options > toolbars" and check the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" are on the personal bar
    • If the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is not on the bookmarks toolbar, then FRY it in the toolbar palette in the window the bookmarks toolbar Customize
    • If you do not see the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" or other items which do not appear in the palette of the toolbar or a toolbar, then click on the button "Restore Default Set"
  • How can I copy my favorites on the desktop

I want to uninstall Firefox to remove the pop up ads if all goes well, and then reinstall it. I don't want to lose my favorites in the process.

Note that your list of details of the system shows that you have a user.js file in the profile folder to initialize prefs each time you start Firefox.

The user.js file is present than if you or another software has created this file and normally it wouldn't be here.
You can check its contents with a text editor (right click: open with) If you do not create this file yourself.

The user.js file is read whenever Firefox is started and initializes the preferences to the specified value in this file, so the preferences set via user.js can be changed temporarily for the current session.

    See:

You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder currently in use:

Windows hides certain default file extensions.
Among them are .html, .ini and .js, .txt, so you can see only file name without the file extension.
You can see the type of actual file (file extension) in the properties of the file via the context menu in Windows Explorer.

  • How can I open new tabs at the end on firefox 7?

    Hello

Just went to 7. However he told me that the plugin "new tabs to end ' will not work with it. Upgrade to the most recent plugin, always tells me it won't work.

Anyway everyone knows I can get 7 to open new tabs at the end instead of adjacent to the reference tab? I would like to to level but not at the expense of losing the basic functionality.

    Thank you very much

    Evan

Here is a workaround without need of any add-on:

-> Open Firefox and type Subject: config in the address bar

    • When you see a warning, click I'll be careful, I promise you

-> On the filter bar at the top of the topic: config page, type in browser.tabs.insertRelatedAfterCurrent

    • preference browser.tabs.insertRelatedAfterCurrent , click Toggle -> it is now set to False

-> Close Firefox and restart Firefox

Check and tell if its working.

About new tabs at the end of 1.0, see this:

  • 6.0 interface is confusing; How can I make it look like the previous one?

How can I cause the tabs and buttons to be where they were on older versions? I tried to get used to the 'new' interface, but I spend so much time looking for things that I used to know exactly where they are. How can I get the old version back, or how I can cause it to put things where they are supposed to be?
The feet must be on the bottom, just above the display of the web page. And what happened to the little arrow on the back button that would allow me to return to the previous page? And why the hell did you put the 'Cancel' button where it is? No sense to me.
    Gimme back the old interface.
Or if I should abandon Firefox?
    Jan Smith

The arrow to open the history tab of the previous buttons and following was removed in Firefox 4 and later versions.

Use one of the following methods to open the tab history list:

    • Right-click on the back or next button
    • Press and hold the left button of the mouse on the active back or forward button until the list opens

Separators and spaces have been removed in versions of Firefox 29. I know that the extension Classic theme restaurateur adds back to Firefox 29 +, but he does not remember having seen other add-ons with this feature.
