How can I reinstall my copy of Windows 7 that came on the computer if I had no CD with it?

I have a Dell Latitude E5400 and it had windows 7 32 bit on it.  I bought it without any of the cd and something went wrong shot, and it wiped the hard drive.  As I said I have no cd for it, but I don't have a Windows XP Pro SP2 cd.  Can I install this and it will let me on the net without a driver disk so I can download the drivers?

    Hello Bob w. NY

Click on the Start button and type capture in the search box menu star. The cutting tool application should appear at the top of the search results.

As the cutting tool is an integral part of Windows, you might have to reinstall windows to return to the tool. Assuming, of course, you had accidentally deleted.

I have some problems with Windows 8 on this forum of the community that could not be resolved, and the only answer I get is to make a refreshment or re - install windows. My PC is old and outdated, so I'm considering reconstruction and replacement of the motherboard, CPU, memory, graphics card and hard drives effectively making it a new PC. Well, it depends, if its an upgrade, you must have a qualifying version installed to use it. You can always try the work around.

If you did not save your certificates to external media before you reinstalled XP, data is almost certainly inaccessible forever. You can contact Elcomsoft to see if their software can help, but there is no backdoor to EFS encryption. This is why you should always follow best practices and know what you're doing * before * encrypt you anything. A lesson of sad and difficult.

  • How can I get back Admin rights no one has them on the computer?

How can I get back Admin rights no one has them on the computer

IIRC, you cannot delete the built-in account named 'Administrator', so check first to see if it's really over:

If you have XP Pro, then press CTRL + ALT + DELETE twice at the Welcome screen

If you have XP Home (or XP Pro), restart mode without fail (repeatedly press F8 startup just after reboot) and the administrator account must be indicated on the Welcome screen.

Unless you have changed it, the password for the built-in Administrator account is blank (no password).

Once you sign in as an administrator, go to control panel > users and create a new account with administrative privileges (or give these rights to an account existing).  Do not use the built-in for common daily tasks administrator account.

    Original title: need HELP

    Go in run and msconfig!

Under the control of services tab hide all microsoft processes
These are the programs that are running at startup you can go through the menu of your program and configure each individually to run at startup.
If you decide it's not worth having to go to control panel and then programs and then decide to uninstall the program.
If you decide to use your drive to factory restore do not forget to install the programs you need.

  • How can I fix "this copy of windows is not genuine" build 7601, windows 7

There are many moons, I decided to download windows 10, I didn't like it and came back to windows 7.  I got this in the bottom right of my screen, "this copy of windows is not genuine" build 7601.

I looked on this site and found that everything I had to do was, go to start, type cmd, by ensuring that its in the administration, then I type SLMGR - REARM - but I got a dialog box displays indicating "has exceeded the maximum number of rearm, you must reinstall the OS before trying to rearm again."

I do not know what is the OS, and how is he said I reset too often when I don't?

To analyze and solve problems for Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the diagnostic report produced by the MGADiag tool (download and save to the desktop -http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )
    Once downloaded, run the tool.
Click on the button continue, after a short time, continue button will change to a copy button.
Click the copy button in the tool (ignore the error at this stage) and then paste (with r-click and paste or Ctrl + V) in your message.

    Hello evryone...

    Tanks

You misunderstood what George wrote.  Dells have a "factory restore Partition" and reinstalling Windows procedure that is described in the manual of your PC.  For example, here is an excerpt from the mine-

Reference Dell Factory Image Restore [excerpt from manual for Dell Inspiron 1545]
    1. turn on the computer.
2 when the Dell logo appears, press several times to access the Advanced Boot Options window.
Note: If you wait too long and the operating system logo appears, continue to wait until you see the Microsoft Windows desktop; then, shut down your computer and try again.
    3. Select repair your computer.  The System Recovery Options window appears.
    4. Select a keyboard layout and click Next.
    5. to access the recovery options, log in as a local user. To access the command prompt, type administrator in the user name field, and then click OK.
    6. click on Dell Factory Image Restore. The Dell Factory Image Restore welcome screen appears.
Note: Depending on your configuration, you may need to select Dell, then Dell Factory Image Restore factory tools.
    7. click on next. Data delete screen is displayed.
Note: If you do not wish to continue Factory Image Restore, click Cancel.
    8. check the box to confirm that you want to continue reformatting the hard drive and restoring the system software to the factory condition, then click Next.  The restore process begins and may take five or more minutes. A message appears when the operating system and the applications installed in the factory have been restored to the State of the plant.
    9. click Finish to restart the system.

You can find this information for your model on the Dell support website [through www.dell.com ] If you have thrown the manual of your PC and don't have any pdf copy of it.

The manual of your PC will also be instructions for creating a set of "Recovery disc" and do this after the factory restore.

In addition, the backup utility provided with Dells [mine is DataSafe Local, but that may have changed] has the ability to create a USB bootable from the "factory restore Partition" so that you can deal with a hard disk failure in the future.  So do because it is a valuable tool [an insurance against future problems] - they advised me to use a 16 GB USB key, but the image is only 6.2 GB so I could use a 8 GB USB key instead.

Palcouk is also correct.  All this which may or may not have been provided with your purchase, Dell will provide a floppy disk to install OEM of Windows 7 on demand - the load is small, I think [I think I saw a post about it being $30].

  • Lost my previous operating system. How can I install my copy of Windows XP upgrade with an earlier version of Windows?

update of XP without previous version

apologies if this has been posted before,

I think I threw my windows Millennium cd and now I want to fresh install my xp pro Upgrade on a new drive and cant

    so, what can I do?

    Hello

    (1) what is the brand and model of your computer?

    (2) was Windows Millennium Edition preinstalled on your computer?

If you want to upgrade to Windows XP, then you must perform a full factory restore and install Windows Millennium Edition on your computer. After that you can upgrade to Windows XP.

Note: Perform a factory restore can cause data loss. You can save the data to a CD or external hard drive for data recovery.

Contact the manufacturer of your computer and ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your laptop / desktop to restore it to factory settings. See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.
