How can I remove iLivid Web search?

Unfortunately, I installed iLivid and have had the problem that many others have lived with the irritating searchqu. I followed the many useful threads on using Firefox and through disabling modules, using Add/Remove programs etc, I have manged to pretty much get rid of. One annoying aspect remains. On my Firefox page, next to the usual web address field is another field of research that is pre-filled with "iLivid Web search."

Does anyone know what specific part of the uninstall will get rid of this?
Thank you.

It worked for me. There is a magnifying glass with a drop-down arrow on the left side of the box using the ilivid search. Hit him and you will see a list of search engines. Go to "manage search engines" at the bottom, select 'ilivid', then 'delete '. Select the search engine you want to use and if it is not already at the top, select "move up". Mine is now at Google.

  • How can I remove/uninstall Microsoft "Search Enhancement Pack?

This program is always displayed as a start-up program. How can I remove it. Thank you

    Hi Nick,

Go to http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx and run Autoruns and click all.  Look for everything related to the development of research pack or maybe the Windows Live Toolbar or Windows Live or Windows Live Search Toolbar add-in (I've read can be the source of the present) and when you find it uncheck the box to prevent it from start to start.  Check the entire list as there may be several entries.  When you're done, click OK and restart.   The program must start is no longer at the start (but it will still be on your system, if you ever want to use it).

If you really want to unininstall the "program", recogning it can be uninstalled more that just the pack of development of research, but also a toolbar or an add-in, go to start / Control Panel / programs and features and searching for it (it can be called something different as the above options check all the installed programs).  If Yes, click on it and choose uninstall or remove and then reboot and that should be that. To be honest, if you got out of the above startup programs, I had probably lleave alone - but it's your decision to make if she's not there, if not, then go to installed updates and check here to see if you can find it (but I don't think it's an update installed, if I'm wrong).  If Yes, then you must decide if you want to really uninstall an update or not-, I would check the KB article to see the consequences before you do.  Once again, to be honest, if you guessed start above, I would probably leave - but again, it is your decision.

If it is not displayed as an update or a program, download Revo Uninstaller: http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.html and see if it detects the above names or something similar to uninstall. If so, uninstall it in Advanced Mode and that should solve the problem.

Unless that has changed recently if you don't see it in Add/Remove or Revo, then click on start / all programs / administrative tools / right-click on command prompt, and then click Run as administrator.  (If you use XP, you can use Start / Run instead).  Then paste this line and press enter msiexec /x {9C9CEB9D-53FD-49A7-85D2-FE674F72F24E}. Reboot and see if that helped.

If this does not work, try that same process in the previous paragraph, but instead, use the command msiexec /x {299CF645 - 48 c 7-4FA1-8BCD-5CE2200CF180D}.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck

  • How can I remove table of contents/index/search components that remain when I link to another project?

When I link to my html main project file A and then click a link to return to the main html table component file contents/index/search remains on the screen. How can I remove it?

I work with RH8 and Windows 7. I generate Webhelp.

I have a file that has links to projects and B main html. Each project is in a separate folder. The projects are not merged.

I can link the files generated or published very well. However, when I start moving around in the files/projects, the components of the table of contents/index/search are still visible.

For example, if I click on the link on the main html file for project A it appears correctly. If I click on a link to return to the main html file pane table of contents/index/search remains visible for A project. If the link to go to project B Iclick, I get another part of the table of contents/index/search and have 2 panels visible.

How can I make windows disappear and do not stay on the screen when I move a project to?

    Thanks for the help.

    Pat

I'm not sure you can. It's like any link on any Web site, if the link opens another browser instance or tab, it is up to the user to close.

Merged help would just open the other topic and keep the user in the same tab. When they click on the links to various projects, the first topic closed and the following would open up.

  • How can I remove the search address suggestions bars?

In my preferences when using the address bar, I've checked bookmarks. History and open the tab are disabled. When I use the address bar the first suggestion is the 'users can choose search suggestions' in Firefox version 43.0. How can I remove that altogether? For me personally, I liked it better in version 42.0 when it would not be the case. Now it feels very awkward that I don't have the same routine.

In the attached picture, I type in 'g' in the address bar, and the first suggestion is to visit gen.lib.rus.ec/
Before, it wasn't the case, I must type in 'g' and the first suggestion would be to google.

    Good day

This is a new feature in Firefox 43. To turn it off to do this:

    1. Go about: config in Firefox
    2. Click on the I'll be careful button
    3. Locate the Boolean browser.urlbar.unifiedcomplete
    4. Change the false value

Note: You may need to restart Firefox for the changes to take effect.
