How can I remove referenced originals within photos

As Aperture is is no longer in charge I thought it was time to move on to the Photos. I just migrate my library of Aperture for photo and have now discovered what is for me a hugh problem. I do not have all of my original photo inside the application file, but use a referenced file structure. However, I believe now that the pictures appears to not have an option to remove the main file of the App (opening more useful and done, it was too

)

You can't - Photos will not address any file outside his library - and as pictures is not nearly as adapt to the manipulation of libraries referenced as opening it's really not a good idea to use a library referenced with Photos - this article is about iPhoto, but also applies to Photos - iPhoto and file management

  • How can I remove the originals, I don't like to take when importing from a SD card?

    Hi all

Just installed LR3 with Santa. Have been going through the videos and the Lightroom_3_Help PDF and PDF of Lightroom-GettingStarted_Lo but I can not understand how to remove files from the gitgo simply importing from an SD card or from my HARD drive (files already moved on the HARD drive but not yet slaughtered or imported into LR3). I was hoping that I could, at the LIBRARY, just r/c on a file that isn't obviously useful to keep and just remove it so I mustn't do it later. Looks like I could, thus, be able to focus more on the shots requiring a change.

Also, need suggestions as to how I would like to import my files using the DNG, Copy, Move, or Add. First off, I'm not a pro at work but am an occasional serious amateur. I'm picky and I like things look the first time and I like options.  The pix already on my HARD drive is in the IMAGES folder. those that are imported from the SD card are transferred to the PHOTO folder. I have, in the past, moved the verssions transformed to another DESTINATION folder - now I still have the originals and I've dealt with copies to show and share.

I understand that LR3 don't ND edition but I guess that if I don't keep a DNG so anytime I want a JPEG or PNG image that I open LR3 to make a. Since I've been taking a few hundred pix per year (although this will change with my new D5000) I won't load to the top of my HARD drive any time soon. So, is there a way I can make a DNG file, keep the original RAW or JPEG file AND save a JPEG or PNG copy turned in my DESTINATION folder in one swell foop?

    Thanks in advance,

    Phil in San Diego

There is no need to delete the source; Select the photos you want to copy the source into your library and apply metadata and keywords that apply to all, then back up the photos that are now in the library, and then only have to format the SD card. Using this method, you will never have to worry about the photos of the source should be deleted, you simply focus on which those that are imported. Your also always make sure to have two copies of your work at all times and consider make a third copy you should kee off site to maximize the availability of your data disaster (and don't foget the catalogue Lightroom itself!).

  • How can I remove my watermark to photos by e-mail?

    This is driving me crazy.

Ive tried to select the 'custom' watermark, even create new empty. but everytime I send the picture sound here once again!

its for a family member, who wants to create a sticker of the portrait, so obviously must be without my watermark on it.

Someone please help before go me insane!

IM using Lightroom 5 passing in case that helps...

    Hello

The watermark is there because he is selected in the export dialog box, it is not applied to the importation Lightroom is a non-destructive image processor and never alters the image...

To disable it, go to file-> export, and then deselect the watermark option.

Then whenever you use the e-mail option that he will not appear, but if you want to watermark on export consider reselect it and select the right watermark.

  • I blocked some photos in facebook by accident, the toddler got click happy. How can I remove this block in some photos?

I blocked some photos in facebook by accident, the toddler got click happy. How can I remove this block in some photos?

With Facebook on display, click the button to the site identity (for more details on what is, see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Site+Identity+Button) and then on more information. This will open the page info dialog box.

First, select the permissions tab, make sure that 'Load the Images' is set to allow (default selection should work as well)

Then select the media tab, and then click the first item in the list. Use the down arrow key to scroll the list. If any element has the option 'Images of block of (field name)' selected, deselect the option.

This should hopefully solve your problem, but see also https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Images+or+animations+do+not+show

Some add-ons can also block images, for example, if you have AdBlock Plus installed, make sure that you have not accidentally created a filter to block images.

  • How can I remove my photos from my iPhone while keeping in iCloud? because I'm running out of space on my iPhone.

How can I remove my photos from my iPhone while keeping in iCloud? because I'm running out of space on my iPhone.

I want to keep all my photos in iCloud. I want to remove some of them from my iPhone 4 (IOS 8) in order to free up space on my iPhone. How can I do this? Thanks for help.

With iCloud library enabled, you cannot delete a photo on a device (or iCloud.com) without deleting each device which uses iCloud photo library (iCloud.com). In order to save space on your mobile devices (and indeed your Mac if you want to) turn on the optimization of the pictures on these devices (settings > photos & camera > optimize storage on your mobile device and Photo preferences > optimize storage on your Mac)

Dynamic optimization, it reduces the resolution of your photos, if necessary, so that you don't notice it occurring initially. However, when necessary, it is very effective, and users have reported libraries being optimized for much less than 10% of their original size in some cases. My own library is about 9% of its original on my phone size.
