  When you set the custom wallpaper, it remains not saved in the my themes section. After having changed the paper painted, it will automatically replace the previous with new wallpaper which you set. If you want to save the custom wallpaper, you need to save it in the my themes since the Customization screen section. Please see the steps below for more information about saving a theme.

  1. By clicking on the Start button to open Personalization , and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type personalization, and then click customization.

  2. Click your unsaved theme to apply it to the desktop.

  3. Click on save the theme.

  4. Type a name for your theme, and then click Save.

  I hope this is the right place to ask this question. This is the closest category to you, that I could find.

  Then, I got my new Dell Inspiron mailed about a month ago. I opened and set up a number of things, but I had run out of the DVD and so I didn't save.

  Well a month has passed since I have used the new Dell I had too many projects on my old that I didn't want to not transfer to the new, and now the little pop-up telling me to back up is not more burst and I can't seem to locate where to run the DVD 3-5 upwards.

  I looked in the Control Panel, but all I can find is the history of the files.

  What I need to do, I believe, is to save all of the computer in case something should go terribly wrong as this new laptop did not come with a DVD w / BONE or something else.

  The new computer running Windows 8. Maybe I'm use to 7 so that's why I can't. ;)

  I would like to know if or how I can save the settings of the new Macbook, I'm new on macOS either said by the way. For example my iPhone backup and if I lost, I could replace it and restore from a backup, which means that ALL my settings are also saved and restored.

  iCloud does not currently offer the ability to save a Mac. I use a 3rd party cloud backup service (Mozy) and it works fine for me. You can control how little or much, it backs up. https://Mozy.com/product/Mozy/personal

  Try to uninstall the old version - it is not necessary.  An upgrade is a product independent and fully functional.

  You don't have to do anything.  When you open your iPhoto library with the new photo app that the existing library is migrated to a new library of Photos.  However, as with any operation should have a current backup before proceeding.

  She needs to log out of your Apple ID in the store and just connect with hers. Go to settings, iTunes and App Store and tap on the Apple ID, then select Disconnect.

  I'm selling my Portege R830-10 q If I want to restore it to the settings to factory (out-of-box state) AND THEN TURN IT OFF.

  I brought the laptop to factory settings successfully using the _TOSHIBA recovery Wizard_ and choosing * factory default software recovery (Recover State out-of-box) *. However, at the end of the process of recovery and after everything is back in place I was not able to TURN off the POWER to the laptop. It only gave me the option to restart. After rephrasing it, the Windows installation process starts.

  I don't want to install Windows, i.e. language, keyboard, user account, etc. I want to leave the Windows installation for the person buying the laptop to me. How can I turn off the laptop after the recovery of the system without having to install Windows?

  When the recovery process is complete and you are prompted for a reboot just press start button / stop and turn it off. I think it's only thing you can do.

  Anyway, why not start Windows and go through the configuration option. New owner can modify this basic anyway parameters. As username Admin and language and the keyboard can be set as default.

  For example, if you have a picture of German recovery set to German. New owner can change in any case.
