  Let's run Windows Update and make sure that you have all the latest patches and service packs loaded.  In Internet Explorer click Tools then Windows Update and follow the instructions.

  You can also give a quick call Dell and see if this is a common problem with their OEM version.

  I select the appearance of the classic view and no screen saver.  After a restart, XP changed the XP default settings that I don't want these back.  I need help changing the settings from XP.  Video card is a GEFORCE 6200 AGP from NVIDIA.  The system is a Pentium 4 3 GHz with ASRock P4V88 motherboard.

  This looks like a corrupted user profile.  When Windows detects a damaged when connecting user profile, it creates a temporary profile that is used until you log out, date on which it is removed and all of your modified preferences are lost.  You can confirm this by creating a new user on your computer, log in as a new user, and if this problem does not apply to this user, then you have a problem of corrupted profile.

  Recovery is quite simple.  The following procedure describes the steps:

  Since the corrupt profiles are usually accompanied by corruption in the disk file system, as soon as a disk check would also be justified.  Do a 'chkdsk' with the /f or/r option.  Audit will be conducted at the next reboot of the system.  Fair warning: usually, a full disk check takes between 2 and 4 hours and cannot be interrupted.  Suggest to perform during the night or when you won't need your machine for awhile.

  Whenever I have a new Captivate 4 adds project always in the additional text boxes with 'Click on OK button' and 'Opens a window setting' and also adds in the film's point culminating own boxes.  How to disable this option?  It's not so much of a problem that I have to go in and edit each screen anyway, but I was wondering if there was a way to stop appearing in the first place.

  There is one thing that I know that you need to check that COULD be your problem.  Open Control Panel (in Classic view) and click Folder Options (or, in Control Panel, click on appearance and personalization and then Folder Options).

  Open the view tab and make sure that "Always show icons, never thumbnails" is NOT checked.

  It would be good to hear from you as to whether that was the problem!

  My guess is that you are using iCloud photo library and if that is correct, then this is the way ICPL works and why it exists - it synchronizes the libraries on mulciple devices by keeping anyway - any changes made on any device is performed on all including additions, deletions, and modifications

  If this isn't what you want then you should not use ICPL

  For devices with limited storage you put to use optimized photos keep the originals only on iCLoud photo library and any other device with large storage available

  To disable checking for automatic updates:
  
  1. launch HPSA,
  2. click on Settings below on the left.
  3. click on the tab health analysis above,.
  4. Select do not check updates,
  5. click on OK.
  
  To turn off the auto focus:
  
  1. launch HPSA,
  2. click on settings in the lower left corner.
  3. click on tab optimization on high,
  4. click on the frequency.
