  Before you start trying to downgrade to XP, Vista, you should check the
  Web site of the manufacturer of your PC to see if there are drivers for

  You will need to do a clean install, there is no place on the way to upgrade Windows 7 32 bit to 64 bit.

  Using the disk of 64-bit Windows 7, install Windows 7 Windows Easy Transfer Utility from the DVD (to find it, simply navigate to x:\support\migwiz, "x:" is the name of your hard drive.   You are referring to a Vista Home Basic Office. Home Basic is usually installed on low-specification PCs which are not powerful enough to run all of Vista's features.

  If you want to run something like Adobe CS5, you would be probably better off buying a new computer Windows 7 to try to upgrade your existing computer.
