    Hi willpublx, when you have selected never "remember history" in the privacy options so you are actually in 'permanent private browsing mode' and that there will be an extra mask icon to indicate that.

    No, you cannot remove it from Safari on ANY iOS device. If you do not turn it on in the browser, it does nothing. It's as good as it gets. You can try a third part of the browser, but frankly most of any decent browser will include this feature in one form or another.

    Thanks for your response! Strange, I can look through the title bar but not the search box. In safe mode, I can search through them both. Looking through the title bar is fine for now.
