  Screensavers

  Apple TV displays a screen saver when it remains inactive for a predefined number of minutes.

  Air screensaver shows beautiful videos of slow motion of the places of the world, upload to an online server, making the screen saver more engaging and dynamic. For the antenna, you can control how many times Apple TV check and download new videos.

  Change the frequency of aerial screensaver download. In settings, go to general > screen saver and select Download New Videos, and then select an option.

  Return by using Apple TV. When the screen saver is active, press the contact surface to get to some app have been previously using.

  Choose a different screen saver. In settings, go to general > screen saver and select the Type. Then select the screen saver you want to use.

  Select the photos to display. Many of the screen saver options display a slide show of photos - it can include photos provided by Apple, or your own collection stored in iCloud. To choose which photos are used, in the settings, go to general > screen saver and select the Type. Then choose one of the types of screensaver-photographers.

  If you choose my Photos, the Photos app opens. Follow the instructions to put photos as screensaver.

  Set the screensaver time-out. In settings, go to general > screen saver and select the setting starts after, and then specify a number of minutes. This indicates to the Apple TV to start the screen saver automatically if the unit has been idle for the specified time.

  Activate the screen saver immediately. Press the Home button to go to the home screen (if it isn't already), and then press the button twice.

• How can I use my photos in other programs?

  My recently added photos are not available for browsing when I want to access it in another program to say, Shutterfly, or YouTube.  They appear in the photos in my favorites folder, but then they are nowhere go under computer from another program.  They can take days to appear even if I restart my computer.  Also, I can't drag and drop pictures then, how do I use my pictures elsewhere?   Using iCloud photo library on your Mac with "Optimize Mac Storage" active? Then, your photos will not appear in the media for other applications browser.

  If you don't use icloud photo library, other applications can see your photo library, if applications have been updated to be fully compatible with MacOS X El Capitan and Photos for Mac.

  They will see your photo library, if it is the system library.

  'Use as a photo library system' should be grayed out in the Photos > Preferences > general tab.

  

  With these option on any compatible application displays your photo library in the file > open dialog box, if you scroll down to the 'Media' item in the sidebar and select the "Photos" icon, like this:

  

  If the application has a Photo as Mail browser, should also be able to view the photo library.  But not all applications have yet been updated to support this.  The screenshot above is from Safari.

  You can drag and drop directly in the new messaging windows, open Pages of documents or Keynote documents.

  go where the image is saved (unless you haven't already) then right click and set as wallpaper

  You can not do with editing in the browser, any changes affecting the structure or appearance of the page. You can replace only the content items.

  We thank you for your email about my problem with the Brown stick Ribbon at the bottom left of this photo. I attach the screenshot. As I said before, I need to remove the Brown adhesive while maintaining the image of the small low boat left and its mast covering the band. Is it possible to do this with Photoshop?

  Currently, it is not possible to directly import Photos. You need to export media from the Photos app on hard drive and then import them into the Organizer.

  My guess is that you are using iCloud photo library and if that is correct, then this is the way ICPL works and why it exists - it synchronizes the libraries on mulciple devices by keeping anyway - any changes made on any device is performed on all including additions, deletions, and modifications

  If this isn't what you want then you should not use ICPL

  For devices with limited storage you put to use optimized photos keep the originals only on iCLoud photo library and any other device with large storage available

  Hi NordundSued,

  If you want to store your photo library on an external drive, the process is as simple as (after checking that the photo is not open) copy the existing photo library on the external hard drive, and then at the opening of the Photos with the option key and choosing this library. Once you have verified that the library works correctly from the external hard drive, you can go ahead and delete the original if you want to free up space.

  By default, your system library is stored in the folder of images on your Mac, but you can move it to another location on your Mac, or store it on an external storage device. To use iCloud services, however, the external storage device must be formatted using the format Mac OS extended (journaled), also known as HFS +.

  Switch between any libraries

  1. If photo is open, choose Photos > Photos of quit smoking.

  2. Hold down the Option key and double click on the Photos icon in the Applications folder (or click on the pictures of the Dock icon) to open the pictures.

  3. In the select Library dialog box, do one of the following:

     • Click the library that you want to use, then click on choose a library.

     • If the library you want does not appear in the select Library dialog box, click other library, navigate to the location of the library, select it, then click on choose a library.

  Designate a library as the library of the system

  You can switch to another library and designate as the photo library of the system. For more information on the considerations to keep in mind when it designates another picture of system library, see Overview of the system of the library.

  To designate the current library as the library of the system:

  Choose Photos > Preferences, click general, and then click on use as Photo library system.

  Important: If you switch to another library, Photos automatically turns off all iCloud services. To use iCloud photo library, iCloud, sharing photos and my photo stream with a library of pictures newly designated system, you must activate them again in the Photos of iCloud preferences pane. When you turn on iCloud library after designation of a new library system, photos stored in iCloud are merged with those of the Photo library new system. Once the new Photo system library content is downloaded to iCloud, libraries cannot be split, so it's a good idea to look carefully before modifying your library system.

  With iCloud library enabled, you cannot delete a photo on a device (or iCloud.com) without deleting each device which uses iCloud photo library (iCloud.com). In order to save space on your mobile devices (and indeed your Mac if you want to) turn on the optimization of the pictures on these devices (settings > photos & camera > optimize storage on your mobile device and Photo preferences > optimize storage on your Mac)

  Dynamic optimization, it reduces the resolution of your photos, if necessary, so that you don't notice it occurring initially. However, when necessary, it is very effective, and users have reported libraries being optimized for much less than 10% of their original size in some cases. My own library is about 9% of its original on my phone size.
