How can need to order recovery disks, I know if I need to 32 or 64 bits without BONES?

I'm trying to fix someones laptop.  It's a g60 and they have no recovery disks.  The hard drive broke down so I can't use windows to find out if I need a 32-bit or 64-bit version.  HP Web site cannot determine this by model number, series or whatever it is and wonder which version I need when I try to order recovery disks.  He told me I should use windows to understand this.  (Why do I need to order recovery disks, if windows still worked?)  Anyway. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Specification of page States it comes with Windows 7 64 bit:

    As your original failed hard drive, you would of course not be able to access any partition contained on this hard drive recovery.  Therefore, your best option is to contact the manufacturer of the computer and see if you can get the installation of their own media.

  • How can I get my recovery disks to work? I just got back my laptop to factory settings.

    I have a HP Pavilion dv5 laptop MODEL # 2045 X, (Windows 7 home Premium) Serial # CNU0202M8K

    Due to some problems, he was advised to return our computer to factory settings. I did as instructed by my computer, my computer has been provided with a set of 5 recovery disks made and who is given to us in a global market by the seller of Best Buy Geek Squad. After "wiping the computer" and return to the factory settings as I was not able to load the recovery discs when inserted the computer simply wonder how I want open, only option was to read the files, I looked at the and he didn't file labeled 'start' or 'auto start' or 'autorun' so do not know how to install these recovery disks they have programs and important files on them. Please help me!

    Hello:

    You cannot run Windows Recovery discs.

    I guess that the disks are labeled 1-5?

    You insert disk 1 into the DVD player. Restart the PC.

    At the beginning of the HP welcome screen, press the F9 key to start the start time menu. Select the DVD - ROM drive, and then press the Enter key.

    Watch then a line will appear on your screen to hit any key to boot from the DVD. Press a key.

    The PC should now boot from the recovery disc and you simply follow the instructions on the screen.

    Before using these disks, make sure that you have backed up the files you want to keep, like everything you have on the hard drive now will be lost once the recovery process starts.

    The only thing I do not understand in your message, it's that you say that you have restored your computer to its factory settings.

    The recovery disks will just do the same thing. He won't do anything more or less on the recovery disks that is on there now.

  • How can I get the recovery disks for my recycled box computer-recycler, I bought?

    I bought a computer from a computer recycler. It came with some kind of special windows 7 OEM / I don't know something about it.

    I have a valid product key.  I don't know what kind of windows 7 it is except that it is 64-bit.

    but without recovery disks. they have no burn / give me everything. and no software has been provided for me to burn everything.

    Windows should be re-installed every 1-2 years because of the alteration of the silent drive.

    So I'm up a Creek without a paddle.

    Help.

    I didn't have to spend an extra $200 on a 8.1 windows

    What can I do? It is authentic.

    I have a windows 8 pro upgrade, but in my experience, it is very buggy and hard to use.

    I just want the right type of physical drive to get him out I can reinstall. Thank you. my choice would have been a boxed product.

    What is the cost of the drive box / and what is the URL to pay for it?

    If the computer has been legitimately loaded the system was probably loaded with Windows 7 offered by restorative authorized Microsoft program.

    If this is the case it is NOT the same as an OEM license, so all references to OEM can be ignored.

    It is extremely likely that the disk has been erased in together and although she had the recovery image Dimension 520 (DM061) would never have Windows 7. Refurbishers should ensure that old data from the original owner has been removed and the best way to make this guarantee is to wipe the drive.

    MAR labels are normally not brown not blue/green of normal Windows COA labels. Microsoft requires that all systems sold with Windows MUST have supplied brackets or the ability for the end user to create his own. Like most of March did not have the means to install the utilities of creating media they should provide some of the disc without X 17-03434-02 (32 bit) X 17-03482-02 (64-bit) for 7 Pro. When a license of MAR is applied the repairer may do so only to a system that has a license for Windows (from XP) and this COST should remain so you should find two COA labels.

    Hello!

    You must use the Toshiba recovery disc creator to create the recovery disk.
    The recovery disk contains the factory settings and also all the drivers and tools of Toshiba.
    It is important to do if you want to go back to Windows Vista.

    Drivers and tools for Windows XP, you can find the Toshiba site:

  • How to re - activate my graphics card after replacing my hard drive? I can't find my recovery disks.

    My daughter's laptop hard drive died, so I replaced it. Now, she can't play the games she could play before. I can't find the recovery disks, but I never thought it would be a problem. I have Windows Vista install, I did without problem. The laptop is a CQ62-101TX. But the site of HP is not a real pack of drivers... Simply select those.

    So, even if the laptop works for things like browsing the web and Microsoft Office, he cannot read the games. Before the crash of the HD, she was able to play games of high intensity graphic (Sims 3 was his favorite). However, after installation, the game continues to say here that he cannot find a DirectX 9 c compatible graphics card. Manager displays the card as a generic VGA card. I tried to install the Radeon Mobility drivers, without effect.

    Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

    Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

    Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.
    See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.
    Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...
    Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Also ask them if it is possible to do the recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.

    They will tell you how to do this.

    Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.

    Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, Acer, recovery disk/s etc).
    A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
    The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.

    There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.

    If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):

    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
