  What version of Premiere Elements you are using and on what computer operating system is running?

  From your description of a term still image, you seem to be looking at the setting still Image default duration in Edit Menu/preferences/general.

  This parameter is used so that all the still images imported AFTER the game is done will be important in this project with whatever the setting. The unit for the adjustment is images. The default is 150 images (the equivalent of 5 seconds in a 30 frames per second). What you are telling us that the setting is currently 90 images (3 seconds) and you want to return to 150 senior (5 seconds).   Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do about it. There is not an option where you can change it manually. It works automatically.

  With more RAM, more memory will be used for graphical operations.

  All very hit and Miss. Miss Aries matching is not a good idea and miss-corresponding to the quantity (2x512MB - 2 x 1 GB) often fails. You can get lucky and the machine will start, but the RAM performance will suffer without worrying.
  There only seems to be a lot of people who are able to run the 3 GB of RAM (laptops for most), but it's a strange configuration.
  Better to have two sticks of 2 GB and (assuming that Win7 32-bit) only have access to about 3.25 GB of that you still get the benefit of the dual channel performance.
  I have an old (built in ' 05) PC with an AMD 939 socket cpu and experimented with two 512 MB and two sticks of 1 GB (I have 2x512MB sticks all the time), the computer does not start in windows with this configuration.

  This seems large enough to me for a temporary file.
