Windows Media Player cannot burn (copy) the files because it cannot find a CD burner (recorder), or Windows can not recognize it. Check the connection between your computer and the burner. If the burner is connected properly, use the Add Hardware Wizard in Control Panel to install the appropriate driver file, and then try burning the files again.

Media Player does not detect a blank CD - R disc.
I want to burn music from my file on a CD - R disc music libraries. I drag the album in the sign game burn synchronization, select audio CD in the drop-down list. I insert a disc formatted in the optical drive D, burning of the press and throwing of disk on the disk with a dialog box "Please insert a blank disc into the CD drive (d :)) once Windows Media Player automatically detects it start burning a new disc)" it never detects the blank disc?
I put the D drive as my default burner. I managed 2 successful copies today but failed to many other attempts.
I put by default, use the player to burn and play music and DVDs. I missed something simple with my settings or default values?
Any help on this would be appreciated.
Best regards, spiderman2012

Media Player does not read CD properly
For example: the CD track can be named 05 best song, but when he is selected to play, the player will play 09 second best song and so on for the entire CD. This only happens on one CD among many others which might suggest that the CD is broken. However, Rhapsody correctly reads the same CD. Any ideas? Thank you.
Thank you, r: I found another CD in my collection than wmp erroneous readings in the same way. I have not solved the problem directly, but have worked around him of:
-use another product to rip the cd to a temporary folder
-created a directory in/user/me/music
-moved from the temporary folder to/user/me/music tracks
Then, wmp plays the music correctly from the library.

Windows media player does not work as no driver DVD
Had to format drive (trojan) & reinstall Windows XP home. Now Windows media player does not work as no DVD driver download from Toshiba site?
Hello
Usually the Windows media Player is not able to read DVD movies IF no plugins were installed.
To watch DVDs, you can use programs such as WinDVD or PowerDVD.
These programs are designed for the DVD play! But you can also visit the Microsoft Web site and search plug-ins for Windows Media player.
Then you can download and install to play a DVD with WMPBest regards

Windows does not recognize a blank disc in the DVD player.
When you try to burn a CD and have a blank CD - R into the DVD player, I get 'Windows cannot read the disk in drive D ". I tried other discs and DVD, but it seems that Windows does not recognize a blank disc. I have another DVD drive and the same is true here as well. I tried to update the drivers and deactivation and reactivation of readers but nothing is done. However, CDs or DVDs with the content are recognized.
I had the same problem on Windows 7 32-bit (suspect this fix as well under Vista). After trying everything under the Sun entered Services (search for programs and files, type 'Services') and looked "Shell Hardware Detection. Found that it was disabled (not sure how he got that way). Right-click on it to get the properties. Change startup type to "Automatic", press apply then OK. Problem solved without even having to restart!

It will probably replace the drive. There is more than one laser in there: one for each function. You can go bad without the other goes wrong.

Replacement is easy. Remove one screw on the bottom and drag the old hunt and replace it with the new drive.

My windows media player does not automatically recognize when a disc is placed in the disc drive. I have to put the disc in the disc drive, and then close windows media player, with the disc in the disc drive already, then re-open windows media player. Reopened WMP with the disc in the disc drive, it recognizes the disc in the drive. It then functions well until I need to change the disk at this time I have to start the reboot stop of WMP. This problem has not allways exists just started a few months ago. Thanks for any helpful information.
