How do I change my default font?

I can't see the words on the server in the finder and the Mac, I don't want to change the resolution as in some games having small resolution can affect thingys games screen

Is there in any case to change the default fonts. Thank you :-D

There are many things that you can change to make more visible fonts.

System Preferences > accessibility > size of the cursor and Zoom. An increased contrast and reduced transparency can also help.

The icons in the sidebar you can enlarge: System preferences > General > size of the sidebar icons

You can change the font size of the labels of office by two fingers on the desktop right-click and chose the display options, and then change the text size to your desired size.

In Safari you can click Safari on the menu bar > Preferences > advanced > and you can set the smallest font size.

  • In Wordpad - how can I change the default font?

I hope this is the right category for this question. I'm changing the default font in WordPad.  Using WINDOWS 7. The default font is "calibri", and I want to change in Arial. I can't find anything in the help of Wordpad menu that says you can change the default font. There are instructions to change the default format, spacing, etc. but nothing about how to change the font permanently.

And I don't mean in a single document that I know how to change temporarily. I want to know if the default font can be changed permanently in WINDOWS 7 WORDPAD.

I could do in XP so it goes without saying that I should be able to do so under Windows 7

Does anyone know if this is possible and if so, how?

    Thank you

Of course, that's just my opinion... I could be wrong!

    Hello

You cannot change the default font in Wordpad, but there is a work around.
    a. open Wordpad and the police that you want and then save it as a template and exit Wordpad.
    b. open the file you just saved and read only to avoid accidentally on writing. Create a shortcut to it and use this to launch WordPad in the future.

It always goes back to the police that you put, but you will need to save it under a new name every time.

  • How can I change the default font of Sticky Notes?

I want to change the default font of Sticky Notes in Windows 7. As said in the previous thread, I can copy from other software to get it. Point is that when I restart the application or the operating system that it returns in Segoe Print again. Sometimes it is not displayed as Segoe Print at all (especially mixed with other languages). I searched the Internet, told to remove the police to get the modish, he will risk the stability of the BONE or something? What can I do to set up another police? I've heard it can be changed in Windows Vista, is it true? Is there a patch to add or difficulty that is then? Or which will be added in Windows 8?

You can solve this problem by editing the registry a little more. It's pretty easy.
    1. go to the registry: start-> run-> regedit
    2. go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Fonts
3 right-click the font that you want to change, and then type the name (the name of the file) of the font you want with the following. (For sticky notes, edit Segoe Print and Segoe Print "BOLD". For example, arialn.ttf and arialnb.ttf for Arial Narrow)
Reboot your computer, and you should be good to go.
  • How do you change the default font in Illustrator CS5?

I have improved my Illustrator CS5 and my default font changed to a strange font. In Photoshop and InDesign, I was told that all you have to do is to change the font in the menu of character to the police you want to define as the 'default' and it will be the police who you always start with.

NOTE: This means that, if I use a different font in another document, the police will stay this policy unless I change it back? Is there a way to make a particular font fonts that I still what I start with? All that means this configuration, is the "default" font will always be what was the last font that was used. There must be a way to make a default font that I always start with any a. was the last font that was used.

Illustrator gives you no option for font type, unless a file is opened. Then, if you change the font and close the file, the next time you launch a file, it will go back what has been initially. There must be a way to change the default font for all of these programs where the police always remains the same unless you change it. Mine is just set up to use a weird font that I would probably never use.

Just never, I thought it would be that big of a deal to change the default settings for the police.

I forgot there were two folders too. I'm happy that we got sorted.

  • How can I change the default font in 'write '?

I did what Gild suggested: Tools - Options - display - formatting - Fonts and Colors, set in the font and the size I wanted, put the same font in the next window (Advanced). It worked once, but now I get time and tiny font size unless I have change the font in the mini window to write. Gremlins Microsoft at work?

The path that has been given sets the font used to display the messages in Thunderbird.

It does not define the font used for call of messages. It is under Tools | Options of| Composition | General.

When you set the display option, do you have it set all the character encodings, you're likely to meet? Windows users tend to use variations of the West and ISO, but elsewhere you can meet UTF. When you reply to a message, it is normal to use the same encoding the message entering. So if you have not set actively other encodings, you will get the default values, which may well be tiny Times Roman.

I use windows 8 pro version and I want to know how to change my font style as in windows 7

    Hi Girigirish,

    Thank you for posting.

You cannot change the default font or the color of the font used for items in Windows. But you can expand all text (and other things like icons) on your screen, or you can change the size of the text to specific items without changing the size of anything else on the screen.

See this link to change the font size:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-8/make-text-screen-larger-smaller

To install a new font on your PC, first you must download it from a Web site, network or software.

Once the policy is downloaded, press on and hold or right-click the font you want to install, and then press or click on install.

Tip: You can also install a font by dragging in the fonts in Control Panel.

You can go to the Microsoft typography Web site to find a list of distributors of fonts. Some distributors give their fonts for free, but more money.

Warning: Using third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

Hope it will be useful. Incase if you still have any other queries please respond with more details and we will be happy to help you.

  • Change the default font for Illy to something else

    Hey gang,

How do you Illustrator CS5 default font other than Myriad Pro. Say, like maybe Arial? It is the wish of a student in a classroom.

    Best for you,

    Mike Witherell in Alexandria, GOES

The default font is controlled by the "Normal Character Style. To change this, you must open the character Style Panel (window > Type > character Styles). Double-click the Normal Character Style and you will have a myriad (pun intended) of choice for the police. This will outline the Normal character for the current document Style.

If you want the police to resort to be different for new documents, you must define the character style for the new profile of the specific Document. On a mac, these files are saved in users / [user] / Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe Illustrator CS5.1 [in my case] / profiles of new Document. You can open and change the character styles on any of the pre built of new document profiles or create your own.

Alternatively, you can set the style of your character and then save the document as a template (ACI), then when you need to create a new document, open this file HAS rather than make a new document.

  • How can I change the default zoom for the new tab only?

The new tab in Firefox 33 zoom is too high to see all 12 of my thumb nail. I changed it using ctrl - but the next time I opened a new tab, the zoom is 100%. How can I change the default zoom for the new tab only?

I posted a style rule to shrink the tiles, which allows several of them on the page, but naturally reduces their legibility. You can experiment with the dimensions to find a look that works for you.

    https://userstyles.org/styles/106326/shrink-new-tab-thumbnails

I use the Stylish extension to experiment because of its preview function that allows me to see the effect quickly. You can install it from the site of modules, then after restart of Firefox while searching for his "S" icon in the toolbar to manage Styles so you can edit and experiment.
