  You can create a new class and assign to the image.

  Something like:

  You can do it from the inside of the Photo Gallery app, but it's easier to do it instead of your image library.  Click Start/images, then you can either drag-and - drop folders to the location (the photo library I guess) or cut-and - paste them.

  By a shape layer, you can duplicate the layer and stop filling. This is a shape with a fill and stroke (border) layer:

  

  Here's the same thing, but I dupliated the layer and turns off filling. I also turned off the visibility of the layer with the filling, so you can just see the border:

  

  To make a selection, and expand, if you want to go this route, ctrl/cmd click on the layer icon to make a choice:

  

  Expand it how many pixels you want. In the case below, it is 20px. Hold the alt-ctrl or cmd - opt, then click on the layer icon again. This will cut a hole in the selection of the shape of the layer:

  I've attached a screenshot of an image created in Photoshop CS4 with a wacom. It shows a gray line border around the whole image that was created with edit/stroke, and then color and width of the selected outline.

  What I want to do is to put that image in Illustrator CS4 and create a vector boundary road aroun d the image like the stroke limit in Photoshop. But I do not know how thatx except by manually with the pen tool.

  Anyone know if it is possible to create a vector path around the image in the same way that I created the line of race around the image in Photoshop?

  I need the vector path to make a cutting line to a laser cutter, which works with vector files.

  If you already have the path traced in photoshop, go to file-> export-> tracks to Illustrator..., then choose the desired path and export. Open the file in Illustrator, then get the path.
