  You can always do another:

  Since there is no DVD/CD drive integrated into the unit, get an external hard drive or USB key and backs up all data that you consider important before things get worse.  You can buy 16 GB flash drives or bigger, so that would be my suggestion.  Just copy everything on a flashdrive before anything else is done.

  I'm building an exe using the path of the application to find some files that must be included.  It works very well in the exe, but when the VI changes all paths are broken due to the path of the application.  But I remember a time someone has a way to tell if you were running the program as an exe file or a VI.  Then when the program starts, it can choose to use correct paths.

  Any ideas on how to do this?  Or is there a better way to run the program as a VI and an exe without breaking the railways?

  Remove a property of the class "Application" node, select Application-> kind.  The output is an enum of the vs Runtime vs student development vs Embedded... you get the idea.

  In my view, is not the size of the file that makes the non-printable picture, it's the cropping or export settings, which makes the non-printable picture. You do a huge amount of cropping? You resize to export? Please give us the details. Please tell us the size of the picture exported in pixels (width and height). Please tell us what size (what size paper) is printing will be.

  The file size is a relatively empty sense information, and it would be wise to ignore it. It is more likely your actions (cropping or resizing during export) which causes the problem of the photo being non-printable.  I say, don't look at the size of the file, do not try to reach a file size, do not try to determine how to increase the size of the file... instead, make sure you use the right export settings and harvest size.

  It depends on which folder you want to store the file.  Some files are unable to access (points of junction or places where you do not have write permissions) - but if stay you with the standard user profile folders (Documents, pictures, music, videos,...) for your user name and then the procedure should work just fine.  You can always go to Windows Explorer and find the file that it's been saved to see if that is where you want it to be.

  This code - using the Format to a string - creates a very similar to the log file output 11. You can write the string to a file with write a text file or write the string array with write to File.vi of the worksheet.  Write to File.vi of the worksheet internally converts an array of strings for what is in the string, and then wrote this text, so it makes more sense to use only write to text file. Write to Spreadsheet File.vi help will make additional copies of the data, which can become a problem if the dataset is large.

  Welcome to the forum.

  In addition to the excellent suggestions referred to above, you will also want to explore the FLV option for export/Share. It is commonly used for streaming video on websites and is very compressed, offers still good enough quality. The limitation is that the recipient will need a player for the FLV file, as it doesn't have a player embedded in the file, as its "cousin" SWF. I recommend the free MediaPlayer Classic HC.

  Another option of streaming is to share/export with DivX CODEC (coding system). The DivX CODEC is free, and when it is properly installed on the system, pre can / the share of exports to it. It employs heavy compression and lower, but still a good flow and is very popular. Once, the recipient must this DivX CODEC to decode the file that results.
