How do I know if I have Java 32 bit or 64 bit installed in Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit?

Due to a problem with the Java updates I had to uninstall this program. I downloaded what I thought, it was a 64-bit version of their site, but now in the control panel next to the emblem of Java it reads as follows (32-bit) how do I know if I downloaded by mistake the version 32 bits or 64 bits one? I have the 32 and 64-bit versions of IE on my machine, but have two versions of the software switched off so they will not start. I use Google Chrome as my browser and Hotmail for email. (Looking at the files they all seem correct to me, 32 and 64-bit) Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Peace!
