How do I manually review a certificate that I am notified?

Greetings,

I'm checking a certificate that I receive a warning to the subject. I'm working in a high risk (shenanigans of the impersonation of certificate) environment, and I would like to extract the certificate details so that I can manually examine fingerprints, the cert and transmitter channel.

Normally I can do that by clicking on the lock icon in the URL bar and hit 'Further information', but if I'm stuck on the warning page "this connection is not approved", is not available because the secure connection has not yet been established.

How can I manually review a certificate in Firefox without him granting an exception first?

Hello, the same should be possible through the "untrusted connection" error page go in I understand the risks > add exception > certificate of status - watch... which should show the details you are looking for and you do not have to grant a waiver after that. (i understand the section risk is not available in some situations, like when the unsecured page is loaded via an iframe to hide its origin).

I can't myCD/DVD-rom to play on my computer, so I ran a test on my driver scan drivers, he says that everything is up to date, so I ran a different program to check and told me that I need for my, Standard 101/102 keys or the microsoft natural keyboard PS12 updated installed is 5.1.2600.2180. update to 6.5.1.2. and so on. I don't know how to find these other updates to correct this problem. If anyone can help, I would surely appreciate it. Thanks for your time. Susie

    Hi Susie.

If you're talking about driver updates for devices and other materials in or connected to your computer (as opposed to regular updates of Windows or MSE updates or other updates of the program), then what you need to do is to contact the manufacturer of the computer and check the media on your brand and model (and the serial number if they allow you to get specific) for the most recent updates day for your devices, account required to your Windows operating system.

If you can't get what you need from the manufacturer of the computer, and then try the manufacturer of the individual devices (each has a manufacturer, the brand and the model) and do the same thing with regard to obtaining updates (usually in the section support and downloads from their website).  Remember, sometimes it is not only the drivers but also firmware and software-so make sure that you get everything that there is to this device.

If you don't know about the devices you have and cannot find the information in the Device Manager or get assistance from the manufacturer of the computer or looking at manuals or devices, then try Belarc Advisor to see if this helps: http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html.

    I hope this helps.

  • How can I validate a digital certificate for a DLL to a computer that is disconnected?

We have a network of computers engineering which is isolated from the Internet for security reasons. New software that we just installed is based on .NET framework from the Microsoft, and we have finally mapped out horrible lag to a series of ports being open to Verisign and CyberTrust and discovered that some of the new dll have digital certificates that try to validate the system. How can I get around this without connecting the computers to the outside world? Is there something I can do on my end, or something I should ask the Publisher of the software?

  • BlackBerry smartphone how to install manually a cert on the phone

I've seen some KB13355, which is not much help.  It indicates that you can manually import a cert that is received on the phone via emnail, but I can't find how to do this.  We do not want our users to install if possible Office Manager.  I checked the users guide and searched the RIM support site but can't seem to find instructions on how to manually import the cert.

    Thank you

OK - I just tried a test... try this.

On the BB, open an email containing the attachment .cer. Scroll down to the bottom of the message and find the link to the cert downstairs (not the 'Annex 1' above). Highlight, then click on the BBKey. Select the certificate to recover (you might need to open the full menu). Then BBKey again and select view certificate... which should show you even more options. Unfortunately, I cannot completely validate the installation process that I already have the cert installed on mine I need, so he told me to go ahead would not be good because what I installed is newer than what I display.

Let us know how it goes. (I agree - I thought that it would be simpler!)

    Thank you.

No you can not communicate with the server using a common product of Mozilla. In a short while you will not be able to co interact with it with any product. The operator/administrator of the server needs to fix their server to issue certificates 1024-bit or better. Or stop using TLS.

The best explanation of this change and it's because I've seen is here https://weakdh.org/
(right at the bottom of the page is what you need to do stuff)

In essence, that the server does not have a security flaw serious patched and Mozilla products have been modified to not interact with servers that have not corrected the vulnerability. Vulnerability leaves you open to man in the middle attack on piracy.

  • I can not connect to a web site using my iPad. Message says required certificate required. No problem using my laptop. How can I get the required certificate on my iPad?

EError message say site has no certificate, no problems until what I put at the operating system level. How can I get the required certificate on my iPad?

Certificates are provided by the site. So if the site has a certificate expired or outdated, it may not work. In your case, the certificate No is probably not updated to work with the new software of Safari on your iPad,

If all other Web sites running on the iPad except this one, I'll try to contact the manufacturer Web site. If a single Web site does not work, there probably nothing wrong with the iPad. In addition, certificates work differently on an iOS, as opposed to an OSX computer device.

The only thing that can help on the end of your iPad is to delete the data from the Web site for this particular site. It might be the old data storage a before you update. To do this, go to settings > Safari > advanced > data Web site > Edit > remove data from the Web site.

If you want to erase all data from the Web site, you can go to settings > Safari > clear the history and data from the Web site. Which will remove saved passwords and all data of the Web site, so don't do that if you know your password.

    Good luck

    Hello

    1. what anti-virus software is installed on the computer?

You can download and run a full scan of the system using the Microsoft Safety Scanner and check if this helps to eliminate the Virus.

    Microsoft safety scanner

    Note:

The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

You can also consider to download Microsoft Security Essentials, which offers protection in real time for your home or small office PCs.

If you want to save it to use windows live movie maker.  He has the ability to rotate the video.

If you just want to watch, download vlc player. (download it anyway you'll love) it will allow you to shoot the video.  Media player is a player of simple basic with little or no options.
VLC is free and has no spyware etc.  He's just a player free all the bigger is miles ahead of windows media player.

Once you get everything installed vlc when playing the video, click on the button "Show extended parameters" at the bottom.
Then click on the tab "video effects".  then click on the tab 'geometry '.  Check the box "rotation" now, you can move the wheel autour and it will turn the video.

Apparently the driver was not loaded when the server has been restarted

PS: don't worry about the stability, it is a laboratory

I am struggling to understand the appeal of running a 10 years old 10/100 NIC under the latest version of ESXi.

As a PCI card, the A5506B cannot be used in passthrough mode. Therefore, it will not be a problem.

The driver you are using has been a quick port intended for experimental running ESXi 5.1 under Hyper-V running on Windows 2012.

You can follow the discussion on this topic: Vmware ESXI in Hyper-v (2012 server) network problem

The NETWORK adapter inherited from Hyper-V emulates the DEC 21140 using the 'Tulip' driver I don't remember anyone using it on a physical network card.

The diffs for the linux sources are in the thread, as well as instructions on creating your own version of the driver.

One thing you need to do is to read the ID of PCI of the A5506B (as told by "lspci") in etc/vmware/driver.map.d/tulip.map.

You may be able to get at least one of the ports on the card to operate in this way.

To get them all turned on, you will probably have to play with the driver source.
