How do I resize an image in pixels instead of inches?

Hi all!

I just bought 10 elements for Mac.  I want to resize the images to a number of pixels wide/high but I do not see how to do it.  The resizing option shows the size of the image in inches.  There is no pixel option in the drop-down list.

Thanks in advance!

When you go to Image > resize > Image size, you will need to turn on resampling to make the area of pixels in the active window so that you can change.

  • How one is resized an 'image' with the cutting tool?

I would like to resize an 'image' of a part of one of my accounts on the Internet I did using the cutting tool.  I was able to do this with Windows 7 and have been unable to find a way to do it or to find a solution through research on the Internet.  Maybe the problem is the program that opens the image in full screen only.  Needless to say that Windows 8 is all new to me - a few weeks of usage and I know I have a LOT to learn!  And... I hope I picked the right area for this help!  Your help is greatly appreciated.  Thank you!

    Hello

I'm not clear - you try to do this in Windows 7 or Windows 8?

Whatever it is, the basic procedure is:

    1. open the cutting tool.

    2. create the new chiseled image.

    3. Select Save as.

    4. give it a name and select the image type from the menu drop down.

(PNG is generally preferable for screenshots)

    5. save it to the desired location on your hard drive.

    6. open in an app - integrated image editing paint will do.

    7. open the image that you saved earlier.

    8. click on resize (in painting its on the home tab, in the upper part).

9 select whether you want to resize a percentage or a non-specific pixels & enter the settings.

    10. Select maintain proportions if you want to keep the ratio width even height.

    11. click on OK.

If you use Windows 8 and when you double click on an image it goes to an application full screen then it looks like this file type can be associated with the application of the user interface modern Photos. Please see:

In PES 11, you must be in Expert mode (the equivalent of change complete in previous versions). Click on the word "Expert" at the top of your screen, and it should be available.

  • How to resize an image using PIXELS to define the width and height?

I need make my image a certain number of pixels wide and high.  When I resize image I can't change the area that shows the pixels of width and height, and when I drop down lists it does not give option pixels.  When I choose "points" and "Pica" they are obviously not other names for the pixels because the given number is not the number of pixels above.  I used to be able to do it EASILY in elements 2.0, my previous version of elements.  I am now using 8.0.

In fact, I just realized that nothing that I in image resize will change the number of pixels at ALL in question.  Size and pixel per inch are locked permanently in relationship to each other.  I had to download a new version not long because my computer hard drive has failed, and I think they changed the things that work so not now, because I would have noticed it before now if it's that way when I downloaded originally from that.  I begin to fear that I'll have to kludge with the crop tool, even if the resizing of the image SHOULD be able to.

    Make sure resample is checked:

  • How do you export an Image corrected Pixel Aspect ratio? (CS5)

I have a still from first Pro CS5, but it's in DVCPRO HD Pixel Aspect (960 x 720) I pulled upward in photoshop, which corrects for preview purposes, but I want to export the Image corrected (1280 x 720)... The only way I have found so far is to create a new document with the answer key Aspect and drag the image then export it... BUT I have a bunch of images from these videos, is there a simpler way?

    Thank you

    AZA

No reason to not just check Image - Image size, resampling, uncheck the box Keep the Proportions, and then size up to 1280 x 720?

As Lee mentioned above, which could be put into action.

  • Resizing of Images

I work on a PC and need help to resize a logo.  When I go to resize the image and type the dimensions - it seems much smaller should be and when I copy paste it into a new image that's much smaller than comparable logos.  Thanks for your help.

Make sure that your DPI is set the same as the other logos. If you resize an image to 4 X 6 inches at 72 dpi up to 2 X 3 inches at 72 dpi, it will be smaller than the image to 2 X 3 inches at 200 dpi. I always watch the pixel size I want to evolve something rather than relying on a unit of length and dpi.

  • resize the image in the Image element

    Hello

I have an element of the Image corresponding to a blob column in my data base. I store image files there, then I retrieve and display images in this point of the Image. the question is how can I resize the Image with respect to the dimensions of the part of the Image? Here is an example [http://img25.imageshack.us/i/photoadx.jpg/]. This image is larger that it is displayed, so I need to see the entire image in this point of the Image.
    How can I resize it?

    Thank you!

There is a Style property "calibration" for the image, set this "Adjust".

    ====================================
Sometimes the only resizing is not the answer because the
the original size is different from the print size.

You may need to crop photos to the size you want
print to ensure that no clipping will occur. Cropping
to a different aspect ratio will lose some parts of the picture but
at least you have control over it.

Windows Live Photo Gallery is a cropping tool.

  • Photoshop CC: Have a template that I transferred the image to.  The image is too small.  How to resize the image in the template?  Or I have to go to the file original image and resize here over and over again until I have found the right person?

I have a model I am able to plug different images at different times.  The problem is when I plug an image in this template, I think that the image is either too big or too small.  Is it possible to connect the image in the template and resize the image (and not the template itself) OR I have to go into the file with the original image and resize them it there and then try to plug it into the model to see if it fits - and if it does not fit, return to the original with the image file and resize it again and see if this fits - and so on and so on...?  "" I tried the "image size" option, but it's all or nothing - especially miss!

    Thank you!

First, make sure that the original image is larger that you need. It is easier to delete pixels that so add nonexistent pixels.

Place the image in the template.

In the menu filters, choose Convert to smart object. (Make sure that the image layer is selected before doing this step)

Now reduce the size of the image of what you need (ctrl-t or cmd - t) when satisfied click return/enter.

Because the image layer is a smart object, you can replace the inner image in another image and the scale will remain the same. You will find the option to replace the image in the layers > smart menu object.
