How do I set up Windows mail to work with an iphone5 in mode 'hot spot' as the internet connection.

My internet is now via an iphone5 used as a hot spot.  How can I set up Vista "windows mail" to use with this? I've always used Windows mail when I had a high traditional rural snail speed dial and would still do that?  Thanks for any help you can offer!

The hotspot just iPhone connects you to the Internet, the e-mail application does not really know the difference (as much as he knows, he might as well be a Starbucks WiFi at the coffee shop).

It seems that you are properly connected to the hotspot, but that your e-mail program is not configured to download emails to iCloud.  Your hotspot is actually not related to that.  The mail app will download mail, regardless of how you connect to the web.

To set up your e-mail to iCloud program, you'll want to go to the account options in the e-mail software and add your iCloud account.

See: How to add or remove a Windows mail account

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/add-or-remove-a-Windows-mail-account

While you are on this page, do not forget knowledge more under the "Add account, end to end", which includes images and examples to help you set up the account.

After that, you should start getting your email into the Windows Mail program.

  • How to activate the Internet connection on Windows Server 2003 is installed in the virtual machine in VMware Workstation 8?

I have Windows Server 2003 is installed on a virtual machine in VMware Workstation 8. I need it to learn and practice the use of the Active Directory. I've also set up 3 Windows XP workstations connect to it, which means that they can communicate with Server 2003. What is lacking is the Internet connection on all of them. When I run ping 8.8.8.8 in one of these virtual machines, I get, 'Destination host unreachable.'

I'm not sure, what if the problem comes from the settings in Windows or the settings of the virtual machine.

    Can someone help me?

Thank you, guys. I was finally able to put in place. It was quite an ordeal to deal with IP addresses and virtual networks. Here's how I did (in the screenshots) in case someone else needs it.

(I also confess that it is perhaps one of the ways to implement. Maybe there is an easier way to do it with DHCP...)

    1. in your computer where is installed VMware Workstation 8 begin the "Virtual Network Editor." It is located in the folder of installation of VMware Workstation. And implement the network following (VMnet2 in my case):

2 then in VMware Workstation itself in the virtual machine when Windows Server 2003 is installed set up two network as connections:

This one is for external access to the Internet:

And this one for intranet communications AD:

    3. then in the machine virtual de Windows Server 2003 set up what follows for two network adapters:

    For Internet access:

Then, you need allow this connection to share:

And then for the ad access to workstations (ensure that the static IP address is in the range specified in the virtual network over VMnet2 network editor). I've also set up DNS to 127.0.0.1 because I installed on this Windows 2003 DNS server:

    4. from the Windows 2003 VM try ping 8.8.8.8. It should work now.

    5. go to each workstation, in my case, Windows XP, each in its own virtual machine and set up the network in the VMware Workstation as follows:

    6. then in the virtual machine, configure the network connection for Windows XP workstation. Don't forget to assign a new static IP address for each workstation, which not coinside with IP of the domain (this IP address must come from the range specified in the virtual network over VMnet2 network editor):

    7. try first ping the domain, in my case ping 192.168.237.128. And then Internet, ping 8.8.8.8. The two should work!

    Continue with steps [5-7].

  • Can I set up Windows Mail to send messages and not receive?

sending messages multiple pc while receiving on one PC

I am trying to set up Windows Mail on Vista machine just to send messages and do not receive because I get all my email on another computer running Windows XP. Is it feasible with the same account name and service provider? How can I make sure that don't get emails on the machine Vista. Windows Mail requires both incoming and outgoing servers?

When you set up your account send only, you should be able to disable the e-mail is.  Under the general tab of the account properties, you will find a box "Include this account when receiving mail or synchronizing".  Uncheck this option.  You can include any string of fake server, you want the name of the incoming server.  The account will never check incoming mail, but you can use it to send mail.

How can I get Vista "Windows Mail" to check mail using my connection local (LAN) internet?

It allows only wants to "connect" using dial-up, wireless or wired ISP (type PPP) requiring a UID and password, of which none seem to allow me to select a LAN (ISP) simple (without a password).

I know that the Ethernet connection works Ok, because I can use it with a standard Web browser; only the mail tool can't seem to see or use.

Whenever I tell the Windows Mail email 'Send and receive', he wants to 'connect' for remote access or one of his three choices (listed above and direct exclusion of any connection to the local network).  It works with remote access, so once I have spend that I should be Ok. but I can't make it work directly.

    Help.

In Windows Mail, go to select Tools, accounts, your account email, properties, connection.  It shows for the connection?  You
should leave this setting not selected, in which case Windows Mail will use the IE connection uses.

In addition, under Tools, Options, connection, the first checkbox must be checked, and the second box unchecked.

If everything which withdraws, but you still have the problem, the account may be damaged.  Remove account, restart Windows Mail,.
    then recreate the account.

    The following versions of Microsoft Outlook are fully supported on Windows 7;

    • Outlook 2003
    • Outlook 2007
    • Outlook 2010 (when it came out)

It is recommended to always update your version of Outlook directly after installation to take care of any question of incompatibility which have been corrected.

  • Set up Windows Mail for Vista

My Question is: How can I get rid of the windows mail Vista Preview pane when I open the mail program? I don't want any e-mail automatically opens in the preview pane when I receive mail.  I went in the 'options' and in the reading tab disabled everything to solve the problem, but without success. I followed the info on aid as well and no luck. I used to use Outlook express on my old system with XP-Home edition and it was very easy to implement to remove the preview pane. I can tell windows mail is very similar to outlook express and I would enjoy the use of the program, if I can get rid of this darn preview pane screen. Any help would be greatly appreciated... Thank you in advance!

It is not in the options, that it is in view.

  • Windows Mail keeps Inbox fill because emails are not be deleted on the mail server.

    original title: Windows Mail

I use Windows mail.    I have a new problem, but did not any changes in the computer, service or software.    My Inbox guard fills, because as I delete messages on my computer, they are not deleted on the server of the 'Charter '.    I have to go online to my account of the Charter to actually remove the messages.    I don't know how to find the setting in Windows Mail that I need to change that.

As you can see, it is not the Inbox Windows Mail to fill, but the server Inbox.

  • Caused Windows mail in trouble with Yahoo mail

I use Windows mail version 6, with Windows Vista. I use this program to receive my yahoo mail but I noticed that once received by Windows mail, kept on the server of Yahoo emails are automatically sent to the deleted items. This causes problems for 2 reasons:

    (1) my Blackberry does not keep the emails stored in deleted items

    (2) deleted messages are deleted automatically by Yahoo on a regular basis.

Any idea on how this problem could be solved?

    Thank you for the prompt.

In Windows Mail in the menu click on tools, accounts, click on your email account, click Properties.

Click on Advanced Options, check the box: leave a copy of messages on the server.

You can enter: remove server after... Days.

If you choose: remove the server after deleting "Deleted items" is deleted in Yahoo Mail and not Windows Mail items.

This means that if you delete a mail in Windows Mail to deleted items and you want just signin to Yahoo Mail and it will be there.

You should also go to Yahoo Mail at least once a month and empty folders.

If you tend to get a lot of emails and keep them you should ask yahoo which is their limit.

Once you put it in right place try it with emails that you don't need more.
