How can I print my Microsoft Surface running Windows 8 RT?
How can I print my Microsoft Surface running Windows 8 RT?
Most new wireless printers have an impression of the Microsoft Surface with Windows 8 RT problem. Everything you need to make these printers is tell them to print and they will. Older wireless, Ethernet and USB printers should not have driver officially supported in Windows 8 RT, but there is a way to get the printer working. There are different requirements depending on how the printer is connected to the Surface.
Note: All the steps below are only for other HP ink Jet, DeskJet, PhotoSmart and OfficeJet printers. These steps are not for Laserjet printers or printers from other manufacturers. These steps may not work for all inkjet printers. If these steps do not work, try different drivers in the list until you find the one that works (you'll understand what I mean once you follow the steps below). If none of the drivers work, your printer does not work with the Surface.
For (Ethernet or wireless) network printers, all you need is Surface keyboard or a USB keyboard to connect to the Surface. It is simply what you have to type more easy to type. You will also need to have the Surface and the printer connected to the same network.
- From the right edge, drag your finger to the left on the screen Surface to appear charms bar.
- Press search.
- Under the search box, tap Settings.
- In the search box, type devices and printers.
- Press devices and printers.
- Contact add a printer.
- Tap "my printer is not listed.
- Select the TCP/IP option and then press Next.
- Enter the IP address of the printer and press Next. Note: You can get this from the network printer, or list DHCP in your router Configuration Page.
- The Surface will locate the printer and try to install it. Installation fails, and the Surface will be asked what you want to do, look on the internet for the driver, or manually install the driver. Choose to install the driver yourself.
- Press 'I want to choose from a list of drivers.
- If no driver is in the list, make sure that the box next to 'Show compatible drivers' is not checked.
- Choose HP in the production list.
- Choose driver DeskJet PCL 3 class in the list of drivers. If this driver does not work, try using the Photosmart PCL3 driver, or the driver Officejet PCL 3. (Thanks JonW for letting me know about these other alternates.) )
- Press Next.
- Tap Finish.
- Test print.
For USB connected printers, need you a USB cable to connect the printer to the computer.
- Connect the printer to the computer via USB.
- Windows will try to find the drivers but will not be able to.
- Here Windows may ask you if you want to choose the driver to install. If she go to step 14 below.
- From the right edge, drag your finger to the left on the screen Surface to appear charms bar.
- Press search.
- Under the search box, tap Settings.
- In the search box, type Device Manager.
- Press Device Manager.
- Tap view and select Show Hidden.
- Search for the printer in Device Manager. It should be in the other devices section with a yellow warning next to her sign.
- Select the printer in the list.
- Press Action.
- Update driver to touch or to install any what it displays.
- The Surface will ask you what you want to do, look on the internet for the driver, or manually install the driver.
I hope this helps.

People,
Hello. I use 3 Player VM and Guest OS Windows Server 2003. The host OS is Windows 7. I need to increase the size of the VM disk, so who can install several systems in the guest OS. Before you increase the size of the virtual disk, I need to back up the virtual machine hard disk external. It is to copy and paste the "C:\VirtualMachine\" folder in the hard disk external.
I just bought an external hard drive that is "Western Digital My Passport Essential 500 GB USB 3.0" and its software is "WD SmartWare". It seems that the software can back up the entire hard drive only. Alternatively, the backup files by selecting the types (music, photo, document, movies). But can not save a folder "C:\VirtualMachine\".
So my question is: what brand of external drive USB/eSATA can save a Virtual Machine to host Windows 7 operating system?
These two questions do not apply if you have a virtual machine.

my mother has two computers that are running windows 7 and she wants to give me one of them, but it first wants to transfer or share all his stuff from one to the other. We network cables and such can I connect the on computers and share information from one to the other?
Hello
To connect two computers with a cable, not a router, it must be a crossover cable.
These are special cables, but they are not expensive.(You can configure a network or a host group (see below))
Connect two computers using a crossover cable (XP - Windows 7 may be the same)

My laptop has crashed and I have used the recovery to operate to how it was when I bought it about 4 years ago. I can't get on the internet because it tells me that I first put IE which I have no way to do it. I use firefox, so I thought that if I up it to a flash drive at my office, so I can install it on my laptop.
Yes, you can save the Setup program on a flash drive. You can choose the necessary version here:
http://www.Mozilla.com/Firefox/all.html
Do a right-click the combination correct language/OS and save link as or save target as, depending on the browser you use.

How can I restore my Acer laptop running windows Vista to the factory specifications?
I was given an Acer Aspire laptop. It is running Windows Vista with 512 MB memory RAM. It has been used and I want to try to restore it to the factory specifications. How can I do this? I tried system restore and it fails every time.
Hello
you have a very low amount of RAM to run Vista
System Restore should not perform a recovery plant
Here are the different ways to reinstall Vista
Contact the manufacturer of the laptop computer and ask them to send you to vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back as it was when you bought it
they do it for a nominal cost of $
https://secure.TX.Acer.com/rcdb/main.aspx?brand=Acer
____________________________________________________________
also ask them if you have a recovery partition on your hard drive to get back to the way you bought
you would normally press F8, F9, F10 or F11 or Alt + F10 or 0 to start to start the recovery process according to the manufacturer
Ask them of the exact key sequence
Acer is usually press Alt + F10 at startup to start the recovery process or through the Acer eRecovery Management under all programs
