• sudden error "too many listeners on GPIB.

  Out of the blue, I'm suddenly in the face of this "too many listeners on the GPIB" error, and my PC has found is more all instruments in NOR-MAX. I have a GPIB-USB-HS connected to my PC and 8 instruments (some HP4142b, Keithley instruments, electricity, etc.), Garland with different GPIB cables... I was able to control them in LabVIEW and summer don't saw no problem with it for months.

  Then yesterday, LabVIEW (I have 2012) suddenly hung when I tried to access one instruments (which went in the State "is not responding"). He could see to the recovery, is no longer one of my instruments GPIB on the menu drop down. I rebooted LabVIEW, but still the same thing... could no longer see my GPIB instruments. I rebooted the PC and the same issue. Then, I could see no longer the GPIB instruments in NOR-MAX. I spent a few hours of debugging, try different configurations, connection to 1 or 2 instruments at once... now with this new Setup, I am able to let him see 7 of my instruments, but not all 8. I have a system to Keithley 7001, it doesn't seem to like more... When I connect it to the rest of the GPIB instruments, I get the "too many listeners' error and can not see all the instruments in Max weird because I have two of these 7001 s in my installation, and it is seems ok connection to one but not the other.

  Overall it is really strange and I can't figure out what that might be the problem... would appreciate advice/suggestions.

  I have checked/tried things

  -all GPIB instruments have unique addresses... There is no conflict of interest. as I said, things worked fine before... Suddenly, they were not.

  -doesn't seem to be a problem of GPIB cable. I tried different cables... same cable will be allowed to connect to a single instrument, but when I use it to connect to this particular Keitlhley instead, none of the instruments can be found.

  Also, I just noticed something, don't know if this is important... for my GPIB-USB-HS, the 'Ready' light always seems amber glow... it is never green. And never seems to light 'Active' lights... even if I send orders to the instruments.  Not sure if it of important or not.

  OK, I seem to have solved that problem. I changed address GPIB instrument troublesome Keithley to a number much more than the other instruments (e.g. addr 30 and other instruments were 10, 11, 12, etc.) and it worked. I don't know why it didn't work until he was NOT an address conflict (it was originally addr 9 and no other instrument has this address and it worked fine... just one day he complained there are too many listeners and he could not see what be it... strange. just this announcement here in the case where he helps to anyone.)

  Disk Manager is a component that manages the folder file and the source file. Too many folders can sometimes be erased using the file / save and Compact because records that has been used and then discarded are not removed from the file with each record. He used to do this but saved was too slow so disk manager has been changed so that it only saved changes and Save and Compact has been added.

  If save and compact it fixes so you can watch the number and size of the media internalized. The media will be broken into pieces, and each piece will seize a record. So if you have very large files that are internalised you can save some recordings using this external media. If outsource you some media you should save and compact since the records used by the media where it was made in-House will not free up the save and compact is made.

  I try to add a try catch in bean when I run the validation operation, but he didn't catch it.

  then I add a plug on the setter, but he ignores the value and try to insert a null on my primary key.

  I want just to handle this exception and display an appropriate message that it is a duplicate primary key

  (and of course do not try to continue the validation operation if there are duplicate key)

  A question that I've seen is that the server vSphere does not apper communicate properly on ESX 3.5 servers. The error message is similar to a post on this forum ( http://communities.vmware.com/message/1450789?tstart=0) however the same method of solution did not work.

  Currently I have two ESX hosts connected to a console vSphere. The Console displays the disconnected hosts and the error points to the problems with the VPXUSER account. I found

  As a note - vSphere client connections toESX welcomes also directly works very well - don't show no problems and everything seems fine.

  So - my first actions were to disconnect and reconnect one of the hosts.  The operation failed with the error "a general error has occurred: unable to connect with the password of administrator of vim cannot configure VIM account on the host. After that, I followed the elimination of the VPXUSER process, restarted the agents and you reconnect the server for vSphere - to the same result. I then deleted the ESX host, removed the VPXUSER, restarted the agents and added that the host ESX back once again - but no change - the same exact error message. I don't see the VPXUSER ID are re-created by this process - so I guess that ESX and vSphere should know the ID and the password.

  Nothing shows up in the var for this - but one of the articles above explains that as a result of the use of the PAM modules.

  Just for fun, I also tried using the ROOT password and reallowing ROOT to connect via SSH - but I got the same failures. I also tried lifting the VPXUSER ID privleges but - same questions.

  If - goes here - any ideas? I can give other details or screen caputres

• I deleted by mistake my certificates. Now, I get the error messages trying to connect to gMail, eBay and my bank accounts, etc.

  I recently did some "housekeeping" on my computer and for reasons known only to nini-gods, I delected all my security certificates. Now, when I try to log in to gmail, ebay, my bank accounts or any https:// site, I get a warning message "this connection is Untrusted." I click on the links provided to overcome the safety message, but whenever I return to the site I have to jump through all the hoops again. I see a small box that can be clicked to confirm security exception, but the little box that must be clicked to "make the permanent exception" is always grayed out. I know I'm on the right sites - have been using the links on the personal bar for years without problems. It started right after I deleted the certificates.

  I've tried everything. Firefox RELOADED (use 3.6.4) deleted and reloaded the bookmarks, follow the instructions when I get the error message. Nothing works. As soon as I close the browser, and then go back online, I'm back to error messages.

  However, I had a problem with deleting the files. I dragged to the trash, and then tried to access the sites in question and received the same message. I restarted the computer and when I checked the files I was dragged to the trash were right where they were before. The only file that are been trashed was the .txt file.

  So I renamed them as you suggested and now everything works fine.

  First of all, here are my current profile:

  Lately when I am looking at the list of users connected to the server via the tab sharing files I noticed more and more users who connect to Time Machine to back up at the same time. When there are so many users doing this that it slows everybody back down.

  Is there a way I can strangle the number of users connected at the same time?

  I don't believe it.

  Perhaps you should consider setting up more than one time server Machine and distributing users between them. It would be probably exaggerated, but in theory, you could have two or Mac connected to a San to share a storage pool and each being then a time server Machine. I'd probably use independent storage for everyone in this case well unless you already have a SAN system.

  You might also consider bonding of two or more network interfaces on the Mac mini to give it a faster network connection or more money there today Thunderbolt 10 Gbit/s Ethernet adapters.

  2 x 1 Gbit/s = 2 Gbit/s, or 1 x 10 Gbps is clearly going to be able to support more network traffic and so more users than just the single integrated to 1 Gbit/s Ethernet port. You need a network switch that also supports Ethernet 10 Gbps, or LACP aka. 802.3ad as the standard of channel binding depending on the approach you have chosen.

• Too many network connections

  I have a router WRT54G2 connecting your desktop (by cable), two laptops (wireless) and I connect to Internet through Verizon on a DSL Modem from Westell 2200. My wired office refuses to acknowledge the WRT54G2 *, even if it connects to the internet at startup. A big problem I'm having, is that my Office XP connect to connect to the LAN, 1394 connection and Verizon Online all at once. The WRT54G2 is configured to log on w / Verizon, which would mean that we don't need to other connections, right? Disable other connections seems only temporary. When several internet connections exist, they seem to collide and create "Webpage not found" messages.

  * I also tried to install the Network Magic application that came with my router, but the configuration will not take place because "you are not currently connected to a router.

  I followed all the instructions to set up this network - please help.

  I suspect that your modem and WRT54G2 are not configured correctly.  Your Westell and the WRT54G2, by default, both use the same 192.168.1.x subnet.  Unless you have fixed this problem, both devices will not work properly together.  To resolve this issue, follow these steps:

  (1) put your entire network.

  (2) unplug the WRT54G2 Westell.

  (3) follow the instructions on the following site:

  Note: The "WAN" port BEFSR41 in the example, is the same as the port of 'Internet' on your WRT54G2.
