  • Toshiba turns Pro: how to return Android 4.3 to 4.2

    Hi all

We have 10 tablets excite Pro for education. Unfortunately, one of our students updated a 4.3 Android device, making it effectively useless for our purpose. How can go back us to the default installation (4.2)?

    Kind regards
    Matthias_H

    Hello

It is not possible given that the Android system was flashed and written on the EPROM module. To return to the previous version, you need previous version Access and root of the image.
As far as I know that the two parties are not available for users of the tablet.

  • No Firefox menu button on rooted android 7 "kindle fire 2 running jellybean

There is no button menu at the top right and no physical menu button on tablet. also, no Firefox option in settings of the Tablet, what happens?

As you have seen, Firefox for Android should adjust automatically depending on whether you have a physical button menu. On devices with a physical button (e.g. Galaxy S3) is not on the menu display button. On devices without physical (e.g. Nexus 4) button on the screen button is displayed.

Kindle Fire is not a supported device (even on the stock rom) so I guess there's an oddity on this device or your rom that is causing the problem.

I tried to find a way to force Firefox to display the button, even when he thinks he has a physical button available. My guess is that there should be a setting in all: config somewhere but I have been unable to find it or any reference to people trying to do the same thing online.

Unless someone else comes back with an answer, I would suggest trying one of the following values:

Try to force on screen menu buttons appear settings here: http://brandtkrueger.wordpress.com/2013/04/23/enable-on-screen-android-navigation-buttons-on-the-galaxy-s3-requires-root/

Try the 3rd party app menu on the screen. Like this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=opotech.virtualbuttonbar & hl = in

    I hope this helps.

  • AT330 - how to root

It seems that Toshiba have locked the bootloader on this machine that makes it impossible for the guru to create a root for this tablet.

It is extremely annoying. I have a lot of tablets, and I've all rooted.

WHY do they want to root. ?

Simple, I play shooting games on my tablets Tegra 3 and I want to use my PS3 wireless controller. But to be able to use the PS3 wireless controller, you must install the driver of "Six Axis Controller". But this driver requires Root access.

This tablet is great with 13.3-inch screen. The new Tegra 3 Shooter games are fantastic on this 13.3-inch screen.

But we need wireless PS3 controller to be able to play them well.

I hope Toshiba will get a bootloader Asus unlocker did likewise.

If Toshiba is unwilling to allow the root of the device then how about an update that includes the "axis controller Six" built.

This is a great games machine. But being not not be able to use the wireless PS3 controller it kills...

    Charles

    > It seems that Toshiba have locked the bootloader on this machine that makes it impossible for the guru to create a root for this tablet.

Yes, the bootloader is locked and so far the series AT300 and AT330 cannot be rooted

Anyone who knows how it is possible to access the root of the SIN? I'm running Kubuntu and tried to mount it with:

    sudo mount-t nfs nas_mc: / / / mnt/nas

It is not exported with NFS; you need enable ssh in the systems-> settings-> services and connect that way.

    Anoop

Hey anoops08 I'll try to help you

First of all you must be about 0.42 or 0,58 firmware to be able to root like 0.62 is quite difficult at the root with locked bootloader

So first Flash your phone with 0.42

    Wan't to know how flasher?

See downgrading to part of gingerbread here

Once you flash 0.42 then root your mobile as follows

    (1) turn on "USB DEBUGGING" from (Menu\Settings\Applications\Development)

    2) allow to "UNKNOWN SOURCES" of (Menu\Settings\Applications)

    (3) connect the USB cable to the PHONE and then connect to the PC

    (4) jump "PC Companion Software" prompt on the device

5 you'll see ad drivers install on your PC, let him complete

    (6) download this extracted with winrar and click runme.bat

    (7) it will root your device, follow the procedure
