  I know this question has been asked before. But as far as I don't know in conjunction with Apple music.

  Since there is a way in music from Apple to add a song only to a playlist, not the library, I was wondering if there is a way to remove a song from my library and not from the playlist?

  Is it possible to do?

  All the songs on playlists and in my library are Apple music.

  I tried to export a playlist in XML format, and then deleting the songs in my library, and then import the XML file.

  Unfortunately this does not work because iTunes can't find the songs in Apple's music even though he had only songs from Apple's music in the playlist before.

  I'd hate to have to create all my playlists once more just to empty my library.

The only thing I can think to use SharePod program to save all the songs from my iPod to a new folder and Redo from scratch iTunes library from there, but then I would lose how my songs are displayed in the library (most recently added first), as all files would be added now at roughly the same time.   I suspect that iTunes has updated some of its references to point to the new locations that it would have copied files if you had not interrupted the process. See Re: files change media for advice on fixing systematically broken links. See make a split cell library for more information on the ideal organization to an iTunes library. Consolidation of copies any file outside the currently designated in the media folder and update iTunes so that it uses the new copy thereafter. Consolidated files are copied into the presentation standard of the artist and album folders that are also used for what it is torn, converted or downloaded with iTunes.

  I have about 14 000 songs in my iTunes library, but really there are only about a quarter as much because there are so many duplicates. I don't know how they got there in the first place, and try to remove them is infuriating! I have already spent several hours going by checking all the files I want to remove (thinking that I would delete then all files at once) - only to find out that I still have to delete them one at a time. There must be a better way! Help, please.

  If you don't know that you want to delete all checked the songs in your library:

  • Create a new smart playlist with the following rules:

  Go to your pictures folder and find the iPhoto library here. Drag it to the external hard drive. It will make an exact copy it

  Warnings: the player must be directly connected (USB, lightning etc.) and Mac OS extended (journaled) format

  Are you running a Managed or referenced library?

  A managed, library is the default setting, and iPhoto copies the files in the iPhoto library during import. The files are then stored in the library package

  A referenced library is where iPhoto does NOT copy the files in the iPhoto Library when importing because you have made a change to iPhoto-> preferences-> advanced. (You unchecked the option to copy files in the library to import) The files are then stored wherever you put them and not in the library package. In this scenario, you are responsible for the management of files.

  If you have a library that is referenced, then it is much more complicated.

  If I understand your post, you are a member of Apple's music, and you want to download all of your music on your iPhone for offline listening.  To get help this process, please follow the steps below.

  Download songs, albums and playlists to listen to offline

  You can download songs, albums, or playlists on your device so that you can listen to them when you are not connected to the Internet, you need to download tracks, albums or playlists on each device that you want to use for offline listening.

  * You can download music on up to 10 devices. These songs are only available during your membership of Apple's music.

  On your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

  1. In the music application, find the element you want to download.
  2. Tap the More Options to the right of the name of the song, album, or playlist.
  3. Press the download icon to the right of the article work. If you see a instead of the download icon, the question is not in your iCloud music library. Press on the to add the item to my music, then press on the download icon to download the agenda on your device.
