How many bits is my 512, 2005 Dell Computer?
Operating system Windows Xp, 2005 is the year on the tag.
More than likely, it is a 32-bit version of Windows XP.
Click on start/my computer and right click on properties. If it is not 64-bit, then you have the 32-bit version of XP.

How many processes should normally turn my vista computer?
Original title: vista-based computerHow many processes should normally run my vista computer.
How many processes should normally run my vista computer.
There is no overall normal - normal only for * you * and * your * system.
The less you have to run all the time, most things you want to run will perform:
Use Autoruns to understand this all starts when your computer's / when you log in. Look for whatever it is you do not know using Google (or ask here.) You can hopefully figure out if there are things from when your computer does (or connect) you don't not need and then configure them (through their own built-in mechanisms is the preferred method) so they do not - start using your resources without reason.
You can download and use Process Explorer to see exactly what is taking your time processor/CPU and memory. This can help you to identify applications that you might want to consider alternatives for and get rid of all together.

A Dell computer has been passed down to me and there is no way to learn the password that I need to start. Is it possible to get after that without having to destroy the entire system? I have a Windows XP reinstallation cd. I could use it and if so, how?
If the PC is used, you SHOULD wipe everything! If you liquidate accepting, this page should be useful:

I bought what I thought, it was a professional Windows 7 operating system from a supplier online. I got a Dell reinstallation DVD for Windows 7 Professional SP1 32 - Bit, in a sealed envelop Dell P/N 04DTND, complete with the Microsoft COA sticker on this issue with a product key. Can I use this disc to upgrade my Dell laptop no XP to Windows 7?
No, sorry, but its OEM version and the product key is for Dell computers only. It can run for a short period, but will then "Non-genuine". Also, the device drivers does not match what you need for your PC.

How many times can I use the Dell restore cd that came with my system?
I ran the cd of restoration over 3 times and nothing has changed that I have I'm restoring an old dell dimension xp. I thought that this would erase it clean and set of parameters by default now I can't boot the OS and not much has changed. I get a blue screen with an error message window was closed to protect the computer and search for viruis. I found my way in the tree view of the symptoms and I've been running tests, I don't know if this will help, and I still really need help because I am very new to the use of this forum, and now I'm tender hand on this Mac laptop. Boy, any help would be greatly appreciated this whole thing with computers, it's a change of lifestyle.
A Dell Dimension 4700 Series are of desktop computers; and, as such, do not come with wireless capabilities.
Connect with an Ethernet cable to your router.
If you want to use a wireless connection with it, you must either purchase a Wireless USB adapter or a card PCI of Wirelesss.
Here is an example of both:
USB adapter: http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=722
PCI Wireless Card: http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=wireless+PCI+card
And here's all the information from Dell on Dell Dimension 4700 series.

And it can help, too (Service Manual):

How many bits of the operating system is mine?
Now that I formatted my PC, installing Windows 7, I don't know whether to go for "x 84" or "x 64".
What have you done before? Is there a Microsoft COA sticker attached to the computer that would give you a clue?
If your computer has 4 GB or less of RAM, version, install the X 86. If it has more than 4 GB, install the X 64 version.
Another thing you can do to see what needs to be on we have to go to the website of computer manufacturer driver to see if pilots 32 and 64-bit are covered for the computer... :-)

Satellite 3000 - x 4: this model has how many memory slots?
Hello
I have a question on this model of Toshiba Satellite 3000 - x 4 PS301E - 000 K 8 - EN I took the chassis on this model today to do a repair for someone in my family work. When I took the VGA card, I discovered what looked like an another memory location.
So my question is how many slots memory model there?I read online and I checked the profile page and they all point to this model with two memory locations.
If this is the case then what is this thing that resembled a memory slot under the vga card?
I had to buy another piece of RAM for this model today make three, but I decided on a little hand to check it out first. There are already two sticks of laptop memory already, 512 MB, and 128 MB. This model can take up to 1 GB.
So, what do you think is there memory locations two or three on this model?Thank you
