  • Re: How to remove BIOS password toshiba satellite L350?

    Dear Experts: -.

I have toshiba satellite L350 laptop computer. and I forget the BIOS password.
sameone has me remove the battery on the motherboard. I have c and 24 h without betttary.
but when I put the battery on the motherboard. andpress on butten but still BIOS password.
Please tell me someone how to remove password?
    Thank you.

Computers notebooks are portable computers that can be easily stolen and protection of BIOS is the functionality of security very important which must offer the maximum on the security of the data (to block the OS startup).

All laptops Toshiba don t have the same mechanism for BIOS password removal. Some of them are very complicated and even service cannot be removed without contacting Toshiba directly. So all of these methods, you can find on the net, especially with the battery CMOS removal will not work. It would be too easy for thieves to remove the BIOS password and have full access to the operating system.

You can check all these documents posted by rotemanq and Googling all about you can find hundreds of similar documents, but they won't help you much.

Best option for you is to contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and they can do for you. It costs a little but they will remove it for you.

  • Is there a way to get the Illustrator to know how many pixels in an inch?

Hi, this is my first post so please be gentle!

I scoured these forums and found no solution to this problem.

I use Illustrator CS5 to make graphics for printing. I need to print graphic said at 300 DPI, but it seems impossible.

Illustrator has many parameters that you say, it is at 300 DPI, but it's never.

Here's the dialog box new file:

    Untitled-1.jpg

In this example, I do an image I want to print on a piece of letter paper size. The example is square, but it's not important. 8.5 inches at 300 DPI is 2550 pixels. Look what happens when I change the unit to pixels:

    Untitled-2.jpg

Despite the pixelation effects the value 300 PPI down, he thinks as 8.5 inches is 612 pixels, 72 DPI, NOT 300. Look what happens when I choose the resolution in pixels correct then place it in inches:

    Untitled-3.jpg

    Untitled-4.jpg

In fact, he thinks I want to print a poster of 35 inches with resolution of gif horrible.

You could say that the pixels are the only thing that matters when it comes to print, and you would be correct, if I didn't print via a PDF file. When I save a drawing as it to the correct resolution in pixels to PDF format, and then try to print to actual size (300 points to the inch), I get something like this because Acrobat thinks I have a document of 35 inches high:

    Untitled-5.jpg

Well, you might say, why don't you just print to fit, and you'll be fine? Of course, I can say that my dialog box print to fit page, but it does not to the size of the actual page, it adapts to the print area, which is perhaps a 1/8th inch smaller on each side of the page, which means my 300 points will never fill an inch exactly on my printer. Never in 1 million years, I could print a usable rule.

Before ask you, yes the rasterization of the Document effects parameters are also 300 PPI and has no effect.

Anyone know what I am doing wrong?

It is very difficult for users to get their head around the fact that Illustrator uses Postscript algorythyms in the structure of the document.  A thumb is always equal to 72 dpi.  Those are the points per inch.  No pixels per inch.  You are getting crossed upwards with the confusion between the two.  Illustrator can create a document which consists of 100 dpi, 150 dpi or 300 dpi.  Who would set the patterns together on their head.  You have proven this in your screenshots.  No matter what you do, 8.5 inches equals six hundred and twelve dots per inch.  You enter Math that uses 300 and you get a huge document.  There is no deviation.  One inch is equal to 72 dpi.  Get your hands on the edition of Adobe printing Guide.  The publication, he explains in detail.  Now, you'll notice that there are three different versions of the resolution of the frame: low (72 dpi), medium (150ppi) and high (300ppi).  Like others in this post, I agree that Raster resolution is not the same as the Postscript of 72 dots per inch.  If this is too confusing, don't feel bad.  Just keep your measurements in inches.  Output resolution is determined in the printer driver.  In order to make a screen 150lpi halftone (imagesetter of direct-to-plate), you would need a capable imagesetter to print 5080dpi.  You will notice that there is no way to define it in Illustrator.  The only thing that illustrator can do is set the frame to low, medium, or high resolution.  If you create a document for 200lpi (lines per inch); You must create a custom print resolution (print dialog boxes) of 400ppi.  Most people do not receive even close to such subtleties.  If I were you, get the APPG and study it carefully.

In addition, the microphone is located on near the microphone because it s part of the webcam.

  • Satellite L350 - Webcam does not work on XP

I use windows XP on a Satellite L350 PSLD4E but can not do the webcam works.

No matter what I do to "the creation of the video preview has not. Please check the device connection and make sure that the device is not used by another application or user. »

I tried the drivers of toshiba for windows 7
I tried the drivers for Chicony, older and newer
I tried the drivers for the L300
I tried using F9 on the BIOS (which stopped from loading windows...)

I have now run out of ideas.

    Any suggestions?

    Hi briley,.

    > I tried the drivers of toshiba for windows 7
Usually the Windows 7 drivers are not compatible for XP because the drivers are different and is not compatible.

According to the site Web of Toshiba, Satellite L350 isn't XP support because there is no drivers for it, but if you are looking for all models (without model number) L350 CANF find you a driver for XP camera wizard.

Then just download and install this driver, it should work.

  • Satellite L650 - 12 P - how many RAM slots is free?

    Hello

Thinking about buying a TOSHIBA Satellite L650-12 P, which comes with 2 GB of pre-installed RAM. I know that you can add extra RAM in the laptop and I was wondering just how many slots were free on the motherboard?

If someone could help that would be great, thanks.

EDIT: Just to clarify something, he expressed the crucial site for this laptop model:

    Chipset: Intel HM55
    Drive form factor: 2.5 "
    Drive Interface: SATA
    Maximum memory: 8192MB
    Slots: 2 (2 blocks of 1)
    Standard memory: 2048MB removable
    Support for USB: compliant 2.x
Although the memory can be installed a module at the same time, the best performance comes from the use by pairs of modules

Do not really understand that, but can help.

    Hello

There are two RAM slots and a slot is empty. In another location, you can find a module 2GB DDR3 1066 MHz (PC3-8500) RAM.

If you need to update the RAM, then I suggest you buy an exactly the same module

PS: Here you can find a beautiful movies and instruction how to replace a RAM module

  • Satellite L350 - videos with webcam are up to 5 GB!

Hello. I wonder if you can help me.

I have a laptop Satellite L350-17. In brief - trying to load a 5 min video recorded via the software assistant camera (pre installed again) on Toshiba on Youtube. Nothing happened... checked the size of the video and it's 5 GB! Then checked all videos and all around the same size. Obviously something not right?
A video the same 15 seconds is up to 60 MB. A second video was 23 MB. Check all the settings better than I could and everything seems normal. The videos are saved in an avi file.

Toshiba since nov 08 and then noticed that the quality of the photos and videos are very poor, even using the highest settings. Comparison of photos and videos in a notebook of the friends of the other manufacture and are perfect. It does not use camera assistant software. Only built in camera software.

Can you help me please? THX phil.

    Hello

Please wait a moment you wrote on a poor quality video and photo, but don't forget that this is a webcam and not a digital camera for example. On webcams, you can t the same quality as on the camera!

I have two laptop Toshiba Satellite A300 and Qosmio F50. I m satisfied with the quality of the webcam, but if I want to take pictures or videos that I use my digital camera. The webcam is as its name suggests for live-communication in my opinion.

Anyway, if you want public a few videos, you need to convert videos in MPEG file as Luke suggest. So save you a lot of disk space.
Google is your friend to find these converters. ;)
