Calls in part for the info and partly in the hope that the odd Toshiba market researcher falls by these forums.

My laptop is creaking and I intended to buy the new laptop at the beginning of next year. I was going to buy now - a Qosmio G50 or X 300. The X 300 is horrible to look at, but good speakers are important, which are rare on laptops. Not care much for the look of the G50s be (cheap plastic and research), but what he does is more important than what it looks like in the end.

The reason why I'm not buying now is the KEYBOARD on the two. I watched X300s on the High Street, G50s and the look and feel cheap keyboards. Fragile, wobbly keys, likely not to last. To that kind of money, a keyboard that lasts the life of the laptop that is an absolute must. And surely it would be a tiny percentage increase on a price tag of UKP 1100-2300 to make really solid keyboard.

It is the main entry for most people, certainly, me - I do a lot of writing. For models current critics also mention the cheap keyboard and the fact that it flexes badly - as well as some of the keys stick actually.

I looked around the market and the Qosmios are those who come closest to what I'm looking for - by far - but I can't buy it if nothing is done on the keyboard. This thing must last hard use for a few years.

So my questions: is there any point wait a month or two? How much time would take before the next version of the Qosmio? Is a possible minor revision at the same time improve the design? How much they take note comments from users/customers?

I want a Qosmio - I think I'm probably their target market - but if renouncing my current laptop (and he keeps trying), and Qosmio keyboards currently, I have to go with something else.

(BTW - it took me 10 minutes to present this message because "use hard a few years" has been analyzed in the form of offensive language! Insane).

I tested X 300 downtown and the Qosmio G50. There are some dealers of laptop and I could compare different notebooks.
I didn't notice any big trouble with the keyboard on two laptops. 300 X and G50.
The keyboard seems to be ok and I doubt there are big differences on the keyboard to other manufacturers.

But to be honest, the Qosmio G50 and X 300 are some portable high-end designed for game use, multimedia, as mentioned by Akuma too.

If you need a laptop especially for typing so I recommend buying a professional laptop Tecra series.

    'Previous versions' applies to both files and folders.  I haven't experienced it, but likely restore a previous version of a file would restore files that have been deleted from this folder since the creation of the earlier version.

    Under Windows 7, restore points are created automatically each week (on XP, it was once / day) and just before significant system events, such as the installation of a program or device driver. You can also create a manually restore point.  In practice, you will find a lot more than one restore points / week.  For example, my Win 7 Pro box displays the restore points following last week:
    Automatic restore point 3/17
    Update of windows of 3/16
    Update of windows of 3/16
    Windows 3/12 update
    Installed software 3/11
    USB device driver installed 3/11
    Automatic restore point 3/10

    It is not clear to me how to change the frequency of the automatic system restore points in Windows 7. If seen sites which proposes to change the frequency of a scheduled task in the Task Scheduler - but the settings in my task scheduler to launch SR once / day and as seen above, which does NOT result in a daily automatic Restore Point. I saw references to editing a registry value, but it was not definite either.

    To remove "Previous Versions"-

    There is no restriction on the number of files that you can send.

    However, for a free & buy account you cannot exceed a limit of 5 GB and 20 GB storage, respectively.

    The size of a file may not exceed 2 GB.

    Click on OTHERS - then check the box next to the OPPORTUNITY and you will see frequently or rarely. There are other check boxes
