• Looking for how P2V Windows NT4 on Wan

  Hello all,.

  I have a Server Windows NT 4 SPa6 in the East of the United States and need it virtualize somehow to our data centre in the West that has ESX 3.0.  I tried to use cold CD converter that did not work in the East but works perfectly in the data center (suspect WAN is the problem).

  Allowing us to create a ghost ghost 8.2 image (.) GHO), which did not work because the drivers are all wrong and virtual machine blue screens.

  Looking for suggestions on the best way to get what was going on above, I'm sure someone has encountered this before.  I don't have the same hardware in the data center or I will try to use the image to rebuild the physical and then migrate.

  You also have a ghost image? Good.

  restoration - which as you already done - then use the converter installed elsewhere and run in mode configuration against the vmx-file already created.

  Furthermore - the BSOD is a good sign and shows that thew ghost-import was successful

  Our small business runs a windows server sbs 2003 running exchange and the domain controller.

  I read on the forums that it is not recommended to P2V one domain controller and I know to do a conversion, while the host is running, causing errors. But what could be the problem cold cloning the machine and then initialize in esxi? I do not understand the consequences, should not simply be like turn the physical machine and the new? I don't see myself messages in forums to say "don't not P2V a domain controller", but I have not seen someone tell why and if they do hint only 'hot cloning. "

  (Sorry if this sounds ignorant, I'm not much more than a windows guy and would prefer not to have to do a full migration if I have to).

  Still, it's true that it's a good idea not to do a P2V of a domain controller... But if it is the only one, and if you do it in a cold way, and if you remember to start with the right time/clock... so you can try the way.

  The other solution might be using Microsoft documentation how to an SBS SBS migration (to migrate to a new SBS in a virtual machine). But isn't very simple

I know I probably still need to do this if I don't know what I have to do, but how to connect to the server, or at least set it up in order to be logged in?   I have to plan the interfaces and packages in studio ODI tends in Windows and the server is located in AIX 7.1

  While I'm with Agent to run the interface, it is been display of the file not found error. But while running without an agent he was running, the files are placed in the windows system, but not the AIX server.

  but when I put these files in AIX, I am able to run the interface with the agent. but in my scenario, the files are regardless of operating system.

  Can someone help me in the performance of the interface in which the DISHES files are in the Windows system and ODI server is IBM AIX 7.1 server.

  Please help me correct on how to program (I just calendar because, if the interfaces are able to run with agent then obviously they must provide, please correct me if I'm wrong.  ) interfaces using agent. ???

  Hello. I installed Oracle 11 GR 2 database server in the Oracle Linux 5 operating system.
  All customers (NetCA, DBCA, GROUND Deveoper, sqlplus...) works properly on the database server. The LISTENER_PT853 listener is listening on client tools under Linux successfully.

  
  I also installed Oracle database Client(SQL Developer, NetMgr, NetCA, sqlplus,...) in Windows XP. So that the client tools to connect to the database on Linux server, the listener in Linux must be tuned to the service in Windows XP.

  In Oracle Linux 5 Server Machine Net Manager:

  Service name: PT853
  Connection type: default database
  "TCP/IP Protocol".
  Host name: 192.168.196.102
  Port: 1521

  
  Listener: LISTENER_PT853
  Protocol: TCP/IP
  Host: 192.168.196.102
  Port: 1521

  
  I have test the Service PT853 with "SYS" username and password "SYS." The connection is successful.

  In the Windows XP Client computer, the information in the Net Manager is lower at:

  I test the connection by using "SYS" username and password "SYS" and got this error: ORA - 12514:TNS: listener does not currently of service requested in connect descriptor. There may be an error in the input fields or server may be ready to connect.

  
  Can I check the status of the listener in Linux Server machine as below:

  Windows XP (192.168.196.101) and Linux (192.168.196.102) can ping each other successfully. So that client tools in Windows XP connection in Server database on Linux, the listener in Linux need to listen to on the service in Windows XP first.

  In Net Linux Manager, I add an address more (TCP/IP, 192.168.196.101, PORT 1521) to LISTENER_PT853, but gets the error.

  Change host, name of service depending on your environment. Your port is 1521.

  Then, first run all the listener and database startup. If you do the opposite, with that you will need to register the service change the order of system registry.

  You cannot use Recovery CD because there are Ghost file image. Instead of CD WXP search please C:\I386 folder.
