  Just updated Firefox to update from 28 to 31. Now, every time I close a tab (by clicking the x to the right of the current tab), rather than close this tab, it opens another tab just to the right of the tab I'm closing. Only way to close the tabs must leave and then re - open Firefox, but the problem continues as before.

  Update: Firefox updated itself, it only is complaint not on the current versions of the Add - ons installed.

  On a whim, I went to Tools/Add-ons and noticed that one point, Tab Mix Plus, indicated that there is an update available. Once this update has been installed and restarted FF, the problem no longer existed.

  Problem solved by installing the 0.4.1.4 TMP!

  NOTE: Maybe the FF 31.0 update process should be amended to flag Tab Mix Plus versions prior to 0.4.1.4 when it verifies the compatibility of the add-on.
