• Distribute the application outside of app store without company account

  Some time ago I met someone who showed me an application that they did (no idea if it was made using DPS) and could distribute without using the app store and also, they don't have a business account (if requested).

  After looking on the apple developer site, I found a video (videos for developers of applications Enterprise - Apple Developer : distribution company applications (only play in Safari...)) which explains how to do just that. However, there are some things that I've ever met by single or multi apps edition using DPS.

  Apparently, when you register for a company (instead of just a regular developer account) account, you have an additional option when you build your provisioning distribution lines: in the House (see 23:07 mark in the video above).

  The second stage is where I do not see how it worked more: you must open your project in Xcode and go product > Archive and distribute your application from there.

  Does anyone know if it is even possible at all to do with a built application DPS?

  You can distribute DPS apps outside the iTunes store if you have a company DPS and an Apple Enterprise Developer account.

  • Development of instrument LabVIEW Plug-and-Play Drivers
  • Instrument driver development tools and resources
  • Instrument Driver Guidelines

  However, I see clearly what is the best way to distribute LabVIEW instrument Drivers, except that I need to be compliant with these standards are on the IDNET (Instrument network drivers).

  Here are a couple of questions, I'm not really sure of their responses:

  • Is it safe to use a .NET dll and make calls?
  • Is this really hide the block diagram? With the passwords in the drivers

  But unsure about 1) (2) and 3) definitely are a no go if you want your library to be distributable through the network ID. The standard only allows dll in which are really developed in C, but you also need to distribute the C code as far as I understand.

  OOP isn't necessarily a problem.

  Packed library is certainly not something you want to do. They work only in the version of LabVIEW in which they were created. You hate when you decide to go with the packaged libraries requests arrive for other versions of LabVIEW and your drivers are high on all the forums of discussion as being a pain in the ass to use.

  We talked about this several times. Unfortunately at this stage we have no concrete plans in place. If you want to run an application without head or service, your best bet is native.

  I have a fair amount of coding "on the go" (in the train, airport, airplane, etc.) where do not always have access to a wifi hotspot. Is there a way to deploy my application on the actual device (not the Simulator) without wifi? For example connect you via USB / DM and deployed this way?   When you connect your PB to your PC via the USB port, the Playbook installs a network driver on the PC with an address like this:

  169.254.xxx.xxx

  the driver on the PC points to the network address:

  169.254.xxx. (xxx + 1)

  and chooses the IP USB PB as the gateway address, so they can talk.

  You should be able to deploy to your PB via USB.  I use FB 4.5 to deploy, and it works with USB and WIFI.  A problem is your IP address changes when you unplug the USB key, then you will need to reconfigure.

  We are a small IT shop and we look for ways allow domain users install the application to their practice without having to babysit them or run from one PC to another.  I read an article on group policy, but he does not understand the implementation.

  You need to change the privileges of use in Active Directory on the server. Or create a local computer account and allow users to install applications to use it.

  Using Active Directory would be the most simple, open AD > users

  Right-click on the account and change the domain they can log on which is administrators.

  I'm experimenting with Bluetooth Low Energy and I was wondering if it is possible to use Headless app running in the background that use bluetooth.

• When I click on "View history" I completely lose the Firefox menu bar, I can't even quit the application without using a keyboard shortcut.

I quit Firefox, but only using the Mac keyboard shortcut. I can go back to a previous window only by moving the historic window and I can close this previous window - there is a button for this - but there is NOTHING that will allow me to change, or close, the historical window. My only option is to leave the program.

  Both of your corrections helped. The first reminded me that I could simply use command-W to close the library window, because it did not show a close"" button. But your second response on rename these two files really made the tour of Firefox back to his old self once more. Now, everything is back to normal. Thank you.

• Data file associated with the application of deployment

  I have a file of data/database (~ 256 k) I would like to include with my application, but not as a resource file.

  I know that I can group as a resource, but I want to change the file because the application is used, so may not be part of the cod file.

  I am currently thinking of the deployment of the application without the data file, and then let the app to download the data file on first use, or as a background thread (in which I may have to provide some stupid message).  I hope not to make one of these.

  Instead, is it possible to deploy the application with a file that will be written in the memory of the device (file:///store) as 1 a download?  If this is not the case, what are some viable approaches to this problem.
