How recover the 8 original windows product key after I accidentally changed?

Hello guys,.

Something really bad happened to my laptop and I can't seem to solve the problem. Therefore, I am writing this problem here in order to get the help of you smart guys. Last week one of my friends borrowed my laptop for 3 days while I worked. When he came back to me, he said that he has accidentally changed the product key of my windows and it could not get it back. I tried to work on it since then. Finally, I decide that I need help after the future store (where I bought the laptop) fail to come with a solution for the future. I know there are a lot of guys here are really smart and pro on computer problems, so maybe you can help me with this problem. It's a laptop ASUS K75DE of model with windows 8 preinstalled inside. I just want to know if there is a way for me to get the original product key from windows, which is preinstalled in the laptop.
I'm looking forward to hearing from you guys.

With Windows 8, Microsoft changed stickers that have the product key that the user must type in during the installation of the operating system of new embedded BIOS product key. The idea is that by eliminating the tile, you eliminate one of the easiest ways for nefarious users get a legitimate product key. The sticker also eliminating product key removes any concern that the vignette could get damaged while at the same time eliminating the long and irritating the process of typing in various letters and numbers in the installation of the operating system.

If the user has to reinstall the operating system on a computer with Windows 8, the installation process automatically captures key software product of the motherboard BIOS without input from the user. This means that these stickers familiar windows product key will no longer appear on Windows 8 computers.

Your only option is to restore the computer to its original factory condition.

New computers that come pre-installed with Windows often have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.

This is how the recovery partition is accessible to most popular brands...

For Asus, press F9, as soon as you see the Asus logo.

  • How to find my current windows product key

I have genuine Windows 7 Home Premium installed in my laptop Toshiba. This came pre-installed.

The product key on the sticker on the back side is not visible now. How can I get my Windows product key?

I hope to see a response soon.

    Hello

Key Finder programs, Belarc, MagicJellyBean, etc. do not find a product key on a preinstalled OEM machine licensed (Toshiba, Dell, etc.) that is usable.

The key they find is the key that has been used on several machines with the production at the plant of Toshiba.

    _________________________________________

In these Forums, it is often recommended to use a magnifying glass and a flashlight to see if you can read the numbers of the product key on the label.

    These are your relocation options:

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks and to reinstall the operating system.

They should do this for a small fee.

And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.

The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

With a Toshiba, you press 0 (zero) to start to start the recovery process

    _________________________________________

Or make your own recovery disks:

    Windows 7

    1. click on start

    2. Select all programs

    3. Select Recovery Media Creator

    4. Select the type of media to use under Disc Set (DVD single layer, double layer DVD, or USB key)

    5. click on create, and then follow the prompts to insert the discs when necessary

Please note: when you create a partition recovery on a USB device, it must be a USB Flash drive that is formatted in FAT32. An external hard drive does not work.

    ________________________________________

The methods above resettlement generally do not require allows you to provide a product key during Installation, the recovery process uses the Installation product key factory to activate automatically during the resettlement process.

    See you soon.

It came preinstalled with windows 7 and there was a sticker with the product key to this topic. Unfortunately this vignette came out a long time ago without notice me so I did take a picture of him. I've recently updated to windows 10. The problem I have is that my HARD drive is dead. I knew that it was about to happen, so I took a photo of product key windows 10 showed. Unfortunately once I replaced my HARD drive and did a clean install of windows 10 I can't use this product key to activate my windows. I contacted Microsoft and they advised me that if I can provide them with the product key, which was on this thumbnail when I bought my laptop, they can activate my copy. Are there opportunities that I can find the product key? Otherwise it would cost me $199 and I certainly don't want to pay for this... Any help would be much appreciated.

  • HP Envy laptop: How do I find my windows product key?

My laptop is equipped with Win10 Home preinstalled. OS is corrupted and recovery partition does not work. When I asked for a recovery media, HP sent only to win 8.1 and asked me to upgrade to Win10 it's free now. I was able to recover.

Golden days are gone. July 29, 2016 is finally free upgrade of Windows 10. If I face the same problem then, I cannot install Windows 8.1 and cannot be upgraded. Which means, I bought 10 Windows, but can use only 8.1.

If I know the product key for my windows, I guess I can even after the free upgrade period that my product key is for Windows 10 itself.

So, I would like to know how to find.

In fact, the product key on the COA sticker at the bottom of your laptop is what you use. Follow these steps:

Skip entering your product key Windows 7 and complete the installation.

When you reach the desktop, click Start, right-click on computer

    Click on properties

Scroll down to the Windows Activation

Click the link x days before activation.

His will say enter key or ask you to activate by phone, click Enter product key.

Enter COA key and proceed to activate it. If you experience problems, try to activate again by phone:

    Activate Windows 7 manually:
    1. click on start and in the search for box type: slui.exe 4

    2. press enter on your keyboard

    3. Select your country.
    4. Select the telephone activation option and brace yourself for a real person.

  • If I still have the box lost Windows product key

I was wondering if their was a way to recover my product key? I still have the box of the product key came and there bar codes and the Windows print on the box. And the computer I had it on his hard drive went rites

What happened to the insertion of the product key?

You have pictures of backup of the previous operating system, or the hard drive is accessible to all to read the data off of it, i.e., enslavement it to another PC or using a boot disk?

If this isn't the case, then call Global Customer Service to see if they can trace your product key with the identifiers that remain on the packaging.  This can depend on the ingenuity of the agent, so if necessary I called several times to see if you get one that is capable (a strategy to get what you need any support), and required still ask a supervisor.  Be polite and encouraging.

  • backup and the pre-installed windows product key 8 install media

    I have a new laptop with 8 pre-installed windows. I want to
    (1) create a backup DVD and by extension installation
    (2) get my product key for all MS/ASUS has seen fit to to hide.

To be quite clear, I want that it is independent of any currently installed HDD/SSD.
I want to make a DVD, take the hard drive / ssd on my laptop, put them in the tub with my toaster, install a new hard drive and be able to use this DVD to install my dang-well-bought-and-paid-for copy of windows 8.

The laptop is an ASUS S56c / k56ca if this is useful.

Well it took about two hours, but the image of disk/recovery rescue process works. Always have fun train so he can begin a live cd (independent), but it's a question for another day.
    Thanks for your help.

    Hello

I read a few threads about similar problems with the BONE key and the key change has always helped
Sometimes, Microsoft rates the key of the image as incorrect or not valid. Why? I don't know... it's Microsoft you know ;)

Fact is that the key on the cover of the CD can only be used to activate the software Microsoft Works or OneNote installed on the laptop. The key is not responsible for the Windows operating system.
The key that could be used with the Win operating system is placed at the bottom of the unit.

Well, according to your message you used this key and now I m a bit confused
I think you should make a call to the Toshiba authorized service provider in your country to clear this problem
