  • How do you get the 3 different style sheets CSS sample in 3 different areas of DW presentation?

I added the css example 3 leaves that I use in my style site.  Now, I am trying to bring a different sample of css in different sections of the track.  Example:

    Box 1: green/yellow

    Box 2: red/yellow

    In the Middle: blue/yellow

I seem to be only able to have one for the entire page.  Is this true?

What I do is clicking the div tag: < div.sidebar # sidebar1″ >, then 'edit CSS' and then scroll the window of the class "attach the stylesheet" and nothing at the bottom a link to the sample css style sheets.  I click on the one that I want and it changes the css for the entire page, not just the box 1. Is there a way I can get a css style sheet different samples for each sidebar in a layout 3 columns and a different sample of css for the environment?

    Thank you very much

You can not gather 3 of sample CSS style sheets because there are areas defined as tables and lists and paragraphs which are just be redefined.  So what is happening, is that the browser chooses (usually the last game) the instructions that he wants to use to display the content.  The only way around this is to save a copy of the CSS 3 documents, then open them at the same time.  Then use them as your master that will be linked to the page and grab the colors of other CSS documents.

    Hi all

How can I find / replace between < a href / a > so that I can replace the link with my own?

I have to aply that code:

    " < a href =" http://www.Flickr.com/photos/aaronrz/6956154572/ "title ="Spiritual by Aaron Reiff-Susan, on Flickr"" > < img src = " " http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7050/6956154572_a9a5c3a179_m.jpg "width ="240"height ="160"alt ="Spiritual"> < / a > "

I searched the net but can't find any example or is it?

    Thank you...

Use regular expressions. For example, the following code replaces the value of the href by http://www.myDomain.com. (View page source). You could do the most efficient regex, of course. Everything depends on your skill. It should, however, remember that in this example, the title attribute remains unchanged.

    #REReplacenocase(str,'href\s*=\s*"[^"]+"','href="http://www.myDomain.com"',"all") #.

  • How can I load a specific CSS style sheet for Safari?

Well, so I have a few questions structure displaying my Web site on Safari than Firefox. Is it possible to put a code in the < head > tag load a stylesheet CSS for Safari, as you can do with IE?

    Thank you.

I took a screenshot of your Firefox page (see below).  I guess you see the same problem in Safari.  If you increase one click of text size, the image of keyboard is less than #contact division.

    1) height is a restrictions in all browsers except IE.  Avoid using height values on containers with text in them.  If necessary to show a background image, use the min-height property.

    (2) correct your code. Some browsers are very sensitive to errors.

    (3) your #content lack of cohesion. You need 3 columns, each with a width in pixels.  Or just use a table with 3 columns.

  • How can I "simulate" a style sheet applied to a web page?

I used to know, but do not need to do this in a while. Could someone remind me how to tell dreamweaver to apply a style sheet to a Web page in Dreamweaver without actually linking to it? Especially useful when designing PHP includes are no < head > tags, but will be later associated with files that do. Until they are combined, they are isolated from the folder root that links to the CSS of the file and look like shit.

I know there is a way to tell dreamweaver "just show my what the page would look like if the style sheet was applied to this" without actually adding the link to the code, but I forgot what it's called, Googling it turned to nothing else than false positives.

    Thank you!

    Design-TIME Style sheets

  • Spend my CSS of a page in a style sheet.

I'm learning Dreamweaver on Lynda.com.  One of the disadvantages to learning on the internet, it's that there are a few things that I don't understand.   I started the page layout for my site and am pretty much done with my first page.  I've written several CSS rules, and the layout is superb.  All these rules are in my code on my page "index.htm".  Now, I want to duplicate my page and just fine-tune each new page.

Is it better to reproduce my index page and rename it, or do I move all CSS rules in a style sheet?  Most of the time my period will remain the same (header, container, sidebar1″, footer), but on my sidebar2 (an image gallery) and maincontent will change.  How to export CSS rules to a style sheet and then have a new page the rules apply?

I hope that this does not seem a silly question.

    Thank you!

    Gary

There are 3 ways to use CSS:

    • Online: styles applied to the HTML code between theTags.  This is not usually recommended.
    • Embedded: inside tags between thetags in your HTML document. This code applies only one page.
    • External: a physical file containing nothing else that CSS code and applies to all pages of the site which are connected.

DW hit file, new, page CSS.  In code view, copy the HTML CSS in your HTML page code and paste it into the new page CSS.  Save as something_meaningful.css

    Sheet external link in DW.

Copy the CSS file in the same location folder as your main site or in a folder called "css" on your main site. Add this to thesection of your HTML file:

        //Unlock the layers (optional)
        myLayers.locked = false;

  • Script a search/replace using a data source

So I wrote a program (c#) a few years ago which basically opens a file, InDesign Exchange, doing a search/replace, based on a datasourse SQL table and then our graphics people would just convert the INX file in InDesign and ultimately in PDF format.  Too many steps.

There are more than 2,500 pieces of variable data in each file, so a product like DesignMerge is not practical.  Our database consists mainly of 2 fields [LookFor] and [ReplaceWith], I would like an Indesign script that will just run through the data file and do a find/replace for each record.  Is this feasible and what someone has suggestions or starting points?

    Thank you!

No, it doesn't matter what format to use: text delimited csv or tab. Of course you can leave it as it is.

  • Remove the imported chips and replace them by paragraph Style

I imported a large number of documents to PDF and I need to remove the text format for the numbering of lettering and balls and replace them with paragraph styles. I find it difficult to arrive at a text or grep search and replace for it.

So far I managed to assign bullets paragraph style, but I can't seem to remove the imported point. This is my poor attempt a search and replace. I guess it's possible to do it also for lettering and numbering?

    Screen Shot 2016-04-20 at 15.06.36.png

and that's what it looks like after the change with the ball remaining.

    Screen Shot 2016-04-20 at 15.13.17.png

Good question! Can anyone chime in with the 1-step process, but it is darn fast than two, especially if you save the first query:

    • Search: Bullet tab
    • Change of: Para style balls
    • All changes

    • Click on the trash can to delete the paragraph style
    • All changes

    Fact.

With GREP, you might find one or several characters followed in a tab at the beginning of a paragraph (^. + ^ t) to locate any list, but you would need to set the style of bullets to bullets, the style of numbering of numbers and the AlphaNumbering style to the letters, so I don't see a benefit.

  • Application updates in bold and in italics while doing a search/replace on the contents of merged data

    Hello
Wonder kind knowledgeable people if you can help me with a question find/replace.

I'm doing a fusion of data of book content in indesign, where my data merge file is a simple text csv file that is delimited by tabs. I have two things (almost like here) I would like to make to specific parts of the text, but do not know how to achieve this.

    -First of all, I would like to preserve the words/phrases of form 'italic', but it's obviously lost in a csv file.  Is there anyway that I can mark these words so a search/replace can make this italic of the word.  Im hoping that there is a solution that looks something like this;
for example.  Content of the book is 'the italics of the word needs to be adjusted.
Original content is modified to be "the word $Italic $ $ needs to be adjusted", so that a dollar sign encapsulates the word in italics.
Then I am able to merge data from the csv file and somehow make a search/replace words/phrases that are wrapped by the dollar sign.  So, do a find/replace all the words/phrases that satisfy this condition and then apply italic to all the words between the dollar signs.

-My other question is that I use the ' |' character in my text to determine paragraph separators.  I then do a find/replace after you import the text to replace all occurrences of ' |' for the paragraph separator (a kind of symbol $, a representative character in the menu drop down to the right of the change to). It works fine, but I would like to make a "BOLD" format paragraph separator so that it can better distinguish the separation of text sections.

But this is different from my problem "italic" above, since I am trying to apply a "BOLD" format to the character "change to", rather than something that exists in my original csv.

Hope I think, but I'd be happy to provide you with screenshots etc. (when I get home at )

    L

    two solutions.

for the solution of italics, I would say that the OP has answered his own question with one exception - do not use the symbols dollar, instead use = or another character that is not reserved by GREP.

the solution I would use for italics would be a GREP search once the merger completed. Take a look at the picture to see what I did.

    the second solution: styles GREP.

This means that the text will have a paragraph style are entrusted to him. make a style and character called "BOLD" in this style, the only thing to change is located in basic character formats, set the bold font style. might even make the character another example cyan color is more easily strucure.

Then go to the paragraph style options, click on GREP styles and correspond to the following screengrab

the advantage with a GREP style is that once the vertical bar (|) is replaced, the GREP style bold is lost; and that means less post processing and not needing a second search of the text - it's all living.

  • Do case-insensitive search/replace
