How the migration of the DEV PRD instance page.

Hello

Implementation of new changes in the DEV Forum, want to migrate PRD pending. Plese guide me.

Space prod, application id is different then the ID of development workspace and application.

I need to export pages updated the 3 and 4 new pages.

Oracle apex version: 2.2.0.00.32

Concerning
RAM

Agreed... only import/export of any application.

The different components in the Apex often seem to be identified by an internal identification number and if you export/import a few pieces of an application, there is no guarantee in environments that internal identification numbers will be the same and you risk making reference to non-existent objects.

  • How the devs should interact with the db?

    Nice day. For some time, my organization has worked as do most small shops: developers web and software, connect to the database and create their own views of procs, etc.. However, we are moved to a much longer staff and have begun the process of transition to a more "professional" store

    In your experience, how should web/software developers (and their products) interact with the production database? In other words, should send their views to the DBA who will create these views? Or must they be connect not seen at all? If they have their own scheme on the production database (and this will be one who holds views)?

    If you say that the developers have absolutely no access to the production db at all, then how their products need to interact with the database?

    I appreciate links, advice, etc.

    Thank you.

    EDIT: developers products are about 75 percent read only search/reports apps and 25% data entry.

    The answer to what level of privileges, the developers have depends in part on which development work your employer does.

    In General, you can grant broad object creation and modification privileges in an environment but the need to severely restrict the privileges in the production of unit tests. Where and how well it depends on if you have separate databases for the unit test-online production; unit test-online test-online production system; or unit test-online test system-online quality control-online production and on how many DBA of your firm employees. So if the DBA are segmented in infrastructure and applications support roles.

    If you are the only DBA then developers must create privileges. If there are a dozen DBA so developers can submit requests for changes to object and get acceptable turn.

    In General, I think you want at least 3 databases and you want to control the promotion of changes to the object in the system test and from there into production.

  • How the value of variable Page of Backing Bean

    Hi all

    New on ADF trying to access page variable value to a BackingBean (scope wonders).

    I tried this approach but does not work, I do not know how to solve.

    My ADF page is filled by a VO.

    It is the ADF page code:

    < af:panelLabelAndMessage label = "Name" id = "plam8" >

    < af:outputText value = "#{bindings." Name.inputValue}"id ="ot7">

    < / af:outputText >

    < / af:panelLabelAndMessage >

    < af:panelLabelAndMessage label = 'Start Date' id = 'plam8' >

    < af:outputText value = "#{detailBean.startDate.inputValue}" id = "ot8" / > "

    < / af:panelLabelAndMessage >

    This is the piece of my BackingBean where I need to read my element value and the format in right way and then push it down on the page of the ADF:

    private String startDate;

    public String getStartDate() {}

    StartDateXD = (Date) resolveExpression("#{pageFlowScope.startDate}");

    If (startDateXD ! = null) {}

    In the date format = new Date (startDateXD. getTime());

    SimpleDateFormat newFormat = new SimpleDateFormat("dd/MM/yyyy");

    startDate = newFormat.format (formatted);

    }

    Return dataSds;

    }

    Is someone coulfd help me?

    Thanks for your help.

    Fairlie

    Yes, you can use af:convertNumber to convert currency. Check Ashish Awasthi (Jdev/ADF) Blog: change of af: convertNumber Format according to the regional settings - Oracle ADF for a sample.

  • How to migrate projects BPM 11 g and the running instances of 11.1.1.5 and 11.

    Hello, could you help me solve these two issues?

    is 1 - possible to migrate BPM 11 g running instances of 11.1.1.5 and FP 11.1.1.5 to 11.1.1.6? If so, could you give me a specific documentation on how to do this?

    2. is it possible to migrate projects BPM 11 g (source files) 11.1.1.5 and FP 11.1.1.5 to 11.1.1.6? If so, could you give me a specific documentation on how to do this?

    Thanks for your help

    Hi Joshua
    1. When you upgrade existing RCU 11.5 + FP, UCR 11.6 using the utility of PSA, you should be able to continue to use the old processes/tasks created using old rcu 11.5 + FP. Because it's the very basic thing, we expect to work. Usually, I have not seen, there are NO major changes to the DB level of a version of another type of 11.4 to 11.5 11.5 + FP, etc. 11.6. When you mentioned that they do not function correctly, you did, get all db old processes such as some columns not found error or something in that sense. If you have Oracle Support, I'd definitely recommend to open a pension case and make them take a look.

    2. Yes, the other option that have already explored you is to create a NEW REVISION of the old process and you will have 2 revisions both running. If really necessary, I'll go in this direction. If you spend just old code workflow to use the new libraries of 11.6, then it should work. BUT as part of the upgrade, if you change the workflow code and add a few new components as any new task, gateways or certain services, so definitely come back with a new revision. Because the old processes will not be one of these new components and they can fail.

    Just as in Production make sure, you have some utility to perform a backup nightly full RCU Database (soa_infra, mds, etc.). There are many tools out there from Oracle. And it is at the level of DB and nothing to do with soa or weblogic. Worst case, after the deployment of new code if something goes wrong, you can reset the code as well as the UCR database.

  • EBS Wolkflow out Mailer - filter field on the DEV Instance

    Hi all
    I'm in the middle of the implementation of a project of iProcurement/iSupplier in EBS 11.5.10.

    I have a requirement where we need to develop a large number of outgoing e-mail notifications. But do not want to run the risk of sending information from systems (such as POs, etc.) to DEV system providers.

    So the question:
    -Are there a way to filter all emails coming out of an instance (DEV in our case) to permit or restrict field according to certain criteria, for example?

    Just to give an example, I would say that I restrict all the emails out of the system with the exception of emails goes "* @oracle.com.

    Grateful for the help.

    Use the 'ignore the e-mail address' - this function sends all email to the specified address (usually an e-mail in-house box available to the dev team). See these Docs MOS

  • How to migrate code from one environment to another in the MFT 12 c

    Hi all

    How to migrate code from one environment to another in the MFT 12 c.

    Thank you and best regards,

    Tilquin.

    MFT has t2p plugin that can be used to migrate the metadata for production test.

    There is an export option in the transfer page in the MFT UI that can be used to export metadata data transfer.

    This exported zip can be imported in any other environment after making the necessary changes.

  • How the installation program an Oracle 12 c and database instance without using DBCA, or YES?

    Hello

    I was in charge of the implementation of an Oracle 12 c instance and a database on Redhat 6.4. The caveat is that I can't use the DBCA or YES GUI to do this, I can only use the command line...

    The other issue is there is already the default ORCL instance and the database. So I need to get up a second instance and database, to the sides of it.

    Which is fine, but it is almost impossible to find tutorials on how to do this way.

    So if someone can tell me a good doc on how to do this it would be much appreciated.

    Thank you

    Sam

    It would be at this point that I would like to inform my boss that the way he wants me to approach my work will make me very unproductive. I could no longer made in a short period of time, if I could use the tools Oracle provides for me.

    Maybe I got lucky, but I've never worked for a manager who gave me details like this in the way of my job. Generally said "here's the requirements, now get on with the job." His place for me to decide how to do the task at hand. That being said, I could definitely see a Manager saying something like "we don't have the budget by Exceed for your XWindows environment' (or other 3rd party software X), but that doesn't stop me using X if I could find a way to do it within budget.

    You can certainly install the software silently without X. Google for Oracle Silent Install and you should get a lot of success. You will need to create a response file, and then run the YES program with her. This gives you the software installed with only the command line.

    Regards to the manual creation of the database, you can do it too. Here is a link to the Oracle documentation: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B28359_01/server.111/b28310/create003.htm#ADMIN11073

    Have fun! It is so much easier with the DBCA Wizard now.

    Finally, if it were me, I would give my post to the company a serious reflection. I prefer to work for a boss who gives me rather than a solely responsible for micro me. I do not say your in a bad position. I don't know all the details. You can be perfectly happy with this work, that would be great! But the comments of the kind that a Manager always give me pause.

    See you soon,.

    You don't want to think in terms of migration when it comes to Adobe software.  You must install using installation files.  There is no need to have installed CS5 unless you plan to use it.  There is no way to upgrade of CS5 at CC, there is a reduced plan should soon be interrupted.  You get the first annual subscription for almost half of the normal price.

  • How to migrate the relationship between two different epm versions.11.1.1.4 - 11.1.2.3

    Hello, we intend to make an hors-place upgrade to our 11.1.1.4 to 11.1.2.3 environment. The only thing stopping us is the question of how to migrate 11.1.2.3 11.1.1.4 reports. We have already considered the following options

    (1) LCM, LCM is taken in charge only between the same versions are at - it another way.

    (2) I know there is an option to export reports in the workspace, but the disadvantage that is that each report must be exported at the same time (atlease how it is in 11.1.1.4). And we have far too many reports to make them one at a time.

    (3) I have also considered the possibility of replicating data in the repository Directory (HYPERION_HOME\products\Foundation\workspace\data\RM1_Servername) of 11.1.1.4 to be used as the repository directory in the new version, assuming that reports and data analysis means the reports too. However after doing this I have connected to the new environment and could not see any of the reports.

    What other options are there to migrate the reports. Help, please.

    Thanks for the reply of John, I looked at this option. But if I select this option if it does not affect the current 11.1.1.4 environment? Because it is an output level on the spot and we will be maintaining the old environment until we get the new environment to match the old. Thanks again.

    Clone the existing 11.1.1.4 databases, point to the clone.

    Documentation that should be studied - + "You can reuse the data and the existing database, or replicate the database and data to a new machine." +

  • How to migrate virtual machines from the virtual server MS in Lab Manager?

    We migrate our environment. So primary question is - how to migrate our MS VirtualServer VMs to Lab Manager?

    BR

    Have you tried using using VMware vCenter Converter?  It can take Virtual PC machines and turn them into VMs VMware (.vmdks), you should then be able to manufacture models of VMware virtual machines, import them into the Lab Manager and voila.

  • How to migrate the production to the server in recovery planning disaster?

    We use planning 11.1.1.3 Oracle repository. Currently our name of the DR Planning Application is different from the production name and Windows of the DR server names are different from Production. Otherwise, any other configuration even.

    How to migrate production planning to the recovery server disaster? We stopped planning on DR server. Then we exported repository Oracle of production planning and it imported in DR Planning. We restarted Dr. DR planning planning seems to work very well, but I'm afraid to click on "Refresh planning" DR Planning - it can update the Production Server. So, how can I be sure that DR and Production planning are disconnected?
    Is there something we need to do? This method seems to be faster than the migration with LCM.

    Published by: Essbase Fan on October 18, 2010 10:11

    You must go about it the right way, if you migrate all planning an application, I agree that it is a safer and faster way.
    The essbase connection information is stored in the planning system database/schema, so as long as you have not migrated that then you should be good to refresh.
    To put your mind at rest, connect to the planning application and change the source of data associated with the application and then you will see where the essbase server is that it's going to update.
