  Adobe Photoshop CS 3 is a very old software and the operating system that you are using is the most recent, so there may be compatibility issues that adobe has not tested these applications on newer operating systems.

  You can download Photoshop on the new computer and activate it, as long as you can get your serial number. If you registered the program with your Adobe ID, just go to your account page and look under your products and subscriptions to find the serial number.

  The program usually produces a message to this effect and provide advice on how to disable the software on another computer NOT the message "must have a product calling."

  This message means that the OP is trying to install is an upgrade version and Setup not found previously installed usually version/s it can be upgraded.

  Of course, install Adobe products can be a bit hit and Miss, so you may be correct - the OP may need to disable the program on another computer and to transfer the license to the new as you suggest.

Yes, you can always buy a laptop with a decent OS if you shop at Costco. You can not just get your CS3 to work on it. I guess that the answer will be that I have to pay for the support for using my software. I'm frustrated, will you?

  You shouldn't save CS3 if you have already registered it in the past.  If you mean that you are not able to activate it, then maybe it's something you can help with.  You will need to contact the Adobe Support for help with activation using cat.
