How to add a square border single size images?

Hello

I find it difficult to reach a size border square around my images.

I've been using the print module and creation of user models, my images are photographs of medium format 6 x 7.

I was able to create a border size, however, I click on the button "zoom to fit" so even if the border is how I wish it were photography becomes tense and the edges of the images of the cultures. Without "zoom to fit" the selected photo is correct, however the border is not uniformly size on all sides.

In the first image below the border is evenly size on each side, but the picture is stretched.

In the second image, the photo is not stretched but the border is not uniform size.

As I suspected, the image and the cell are different proportions.

For the Photo aspect ratio is 7 / 6 = 1,167

For the cell, the aspect ratio is 24.94 / 18.59 = 1,342

In your first picture of you original post, the photo is not "stretched" but is enlarged to fill the cell, the height and width.  In order to fill the cell, the width of the picture is zoomed to 24,94 cm.  With an aspect ratio of 1,167, zooms to the height of the photo to 21.37 cm (24.94 / 1.167) which is higher at the height of the cell, so a part of the picture needs to be cropped at the top and the bottom of the photo to enter the cell.

In your second image, the height of the photo is sized according to the height of the cell to 18.59 cm... This makes the width equal to 21,69 cm photography (18.59 1,167 x), which is less than the width of the cell of 3.25 cm, leaving an extra white (border) area on each side.

In order to get the whole picture in the cell without cropping or extra white space, the aspect ratio of the cell must be exactly the same as the photo.  I suspect that the picture aspect ratio is not exactly 6 x 7, as you say, but maybe a little different.

Looks like you have set the size of your paper to 8 1/2 x 11, so your first image is the only way you can get equal border all around.  If, however, you do not like the framing, place the cursor within the cell on the picture and drag the photo upward or down to change the position of the image in the cell.

With a 6 x 7 image, you can choose only 2 that you posted, either equal borders, or the entire image, but not both.  It's against the laws of physics.

    Make a selection top down on the side that you want to work - it change what you already have on the other side you can avoid.

    I'm looking to make a slideshow for a site that I am developing, which requires some images, all exactly the same size. These images must have rounded edges that are identical to those of the div used in Dreamweaver. However, in order to round off the corners, I use the marquee selection tool, smoothing it then reversing and severed. The problem is that I don't know how to create images to exactly the same size, as I judge by eye. Could someone enlighten me on a method that could solve my dilemma, or give me a suggestion on how to get a solution?

    PS I am currently using Photoshop CS5.1

    The tool provides an option of fixed size.  Maybe that might help.

    Other thoughts may be helpful...

    • You might want to try the snap to Pixels option.
    • You can make a selection from the path that is created with this tool, then use Image - culture.
    • You can make a layer mask with the selection or remove the corners using the inverse of the selection.

    What you can do, it's all the layers except the nest bottom.

    I just tried it to make sure I understood it correctly. I took a picture and placed on track 1. Then I placed the same image on track 2. I have cropped the top for display on the left and bottom half to show on the right half.

    I put a three track adjustment layer and added a fast color corrector to make all too red.

    Then I selected 2 and track 3, right click and they nested together.

    Now that one side was too red, because the adjustment in a nest layer changes only the clips inside the nest.

    The text should not display at all! It is intended for users who cannot see the pages and to help intentionally exposâmes it of all visitors to the web site: the search robots Google !

    Most browsers use the alt or the ToolTip as an indicative popup text, but it is not a guarantee or obligation. So if they decide not to do with images that are buried in deep in the HTML code (such as the slide show), they might overlook it.
