Anyway, my question is: How can I enable brushes to paths. Can I make a selection and even a channel mask, but a vector path why? Don't not Adobe 7 supports this or have I missed something. Maybe this will help:

  • How the 0.5px brush stroke?

    Hello:

First of all, I'm sorry b/c I think I already asked this question, but I can't find in my story.

In any case, I would use the brush base in half with a stroke of the pixel and less like 0.25

However, when I type in 0.5 and then proceed with the brush it just turns back to 1px

    So do I guess I can't do a lower line of 1px?

I have PS version 12.02 which I don't like. too complicated and would like to exchange for an earlier version. But my question is the real basis. When I use a brush on board hard edge is a series of overlapping circles. How can I get a ultra smooth hard edge no prot the size of the brush.

ALSO WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD ANYONE WANT THIS CRAPPY BUMPY EDGE?

Although it has probably nothing to do with the brush, you need to update photoshop to 12.04.

Try experimenting with hardness and spacing settings in the brush Panel. Window > brush.

Also make sure that your don't not using pencil instead of the Brush tool.

In the section of the brush group transfer, you can set the opacity fade control. The numerical field next to the drop-down list is the length of the fade:

  • How do you prevent brush to be re-applied to line segments?

    Hello

What I'm doing is applying a brush to a line segment, then by dividing the segment of the line upward into pieces of different lengths using anchor points.

What is happening that the long line segments show the brush perfectly, but the shorter sections are 'crush' the entire brush in a short segment

If for example I am trying to create a logo with lines drawn by hand - the longest pieces of the logo look perfect with my brush, but the shorter parts are wavy, because the whole brush is being crushed down in the length of the small segment line.

I already tried the brush options and I tried the options of the selected object. Defining the proportion does not help, because then the small line segments end up thinner than others and if I set the thickness to the top, then I'll be back the same effect.

Is it possible that I can put the entire length of the line with the brush, while Illustrator is not re - apply the same effect of brush, whenever I have segment the line?

i.e. cut the line upwards without reapplying the brush to each segment.

    All answers are appreciated!

    Hello

The line segments must still be modified? Otherwise, you can expand the brush stroke and then use the knife tool to cut to the top of the race.

    (1) create the stroke:

    (2) object > expand appearance:

    (3) use the knife tool to segment the object (option-shift gives you a straight line):

    I hope this helps!

  • How to automatically convert the brush strokes symbols?

Is it possible to just draw a line and it automatically becomes a movie clip symbol? Like to draw "mode"?

I character animation in another program, then go to Flash CS6 to shade and draw little touch ups on the animation.

With symbols, I am able to change the opacity (which is the alpha) and I can 'multiply' during the animation to create simple shadows.

I can't use Flash to save my life, honestly it's the simplest thing I can do. Is it nothing to do with each brush stroke, so automatically I draw a symbol?

I had recently discovered that Flash is not like Photoshop where you can adjust the opacity of the layers down and put modes on layers, so it's the closest to you that I go away to imitate that.

Do not mention object mode, drawing, I thought that my drawings into symbols, but it doesn't work? : c

    Hello

There is no way to convert the lines to the symbol that you draw, you need to individually convert their symbol after you draw or create empty symbols and draw in their editing patterns.

    Thank you

  • How can I add filters just the brush strokes and fill the painting not pencil.

Sorry, it's pretty hard to explain in the description.

I want to know is if I can pretty well just select the brush strokes and filling on a coat of paint and have the strokes left alone.

I want to filter, and then fade brush strokes and fill on the paint layer but keep the sharp pencil lines, I made a paint filling and brush rubbed on a different layer than the pencil strokes, but it takes forever because I draw the image each time twice, using the brush strokes to go along the pencil lines so I can fill it with a color, if I could their blur on the same layer without the pencil strokes then I could fill just the pencil lines the lines with the Brush tool with paint instead of redarwing if that makes sense.

Here is a picture to show what im trying to reach

The pencil strokes are on a different layer in brush strokesScreen shot 2013-09-28 at 9.51.57 AM.png

If you convert a movieclip (right click > convert to symbol > movieclip) everything that you want to filter, you can filter it is independent of other objects.

  • How to achieve less than smoothing with brush strokes and wacom?

Is there a parameter of smoothing for paint brushes? When I draw some sharper with corners shapes (like squares) Illustrator complete them very excessive. I know there must be a certain amount of smoothing to convert a race made by the user in a vector, but is there a way to reduce the amount. Interestingly, if I draw the shape very quickly, I get the desired result, but if I shoot slowly, it rounds it enormously. I think it would be the other way around because with a slower race you give more entry points and so more precision, but it is obviously not the case. Basically, I want to achieve with brush strokes that specifically represent my entry. Thanks in advance for the help.

Doible click on the Brush tool. There are options. To my taste, loyalty and sweetness both in 1 seem to work well.

  • How to use the Brush tool effectively...?

More specifically, I have a pic that is much darker show, a hay field and the end of the field is a hill on the island of trees.  In addition are mountains/hills, this is the high country of Colorado and on these hills are light patches of sunlight thanks to the handful of clouds.  I would like to put a little lightness to the left of the island for a little more definition and I can't really understand how to do it well, it comes out too light and that the border is no longer enough for my taste.  Any thoughts, good people?  I'm NEW to this game at this level.

    Hi James,

Take the easy one first: pen. He comes to the edge of the shape of the brush. A value of zero pen gives you a sharp hard brush, with a good clear round edge shape to paint along the edges clearly defined as walls or signs. Affecting the pen to a higher value creates a soft or fuzzy border brush which is very subtle; You can not easily know where at the edge of the affected area.

Workflow with a density control the intensity of the effect.

Density determines the maximum amount of effective to apply - something less than 100 will result in a partial effect that may seem a little transparent.

Flow of control the amount of effect to be applied with a single brush. Assignment of a low value like 10 or 20 (think it's percent) will allow you to put in place an effect on several consecutive brush strokes, for maximum effect that is equal to the value of density. So a flow of 20 would take 5 shots to build to whatever the density setting is maximum (100%).

You can combine the two for very subtle effects. Density of 50 with throughput of 10 means 10 shots build fo up to the value of the total density of 50%.

    I hope this helps!

  • Is it possible to keep all the brush strokes, textures and layers of Adobe iPad drawing apps to illustrator CC?

First of all, I want to say 'Hi' to everyone, because I am a completely newbie in this forum !

As I am more in love with the design of the apps on my iPad 2 air and as a user of Adobe CS6 Adobe illustrator, I am seriously considering subscribing to CC Illustrator just to fully evaluate all my drawings of iPad in vector format instead of getting jpg or png files.

Is it possible to keep all the contours, textures and layers EXACTLY as the original drawing of drawing Adobe apps, like Adobe draw or sketch of my iPad to illustrator CC?

I actually downloaded the trial version of Illustrator CC, I noticed that the workflow is a little different from CS6 (with CS6, I use the trace of the image) and I can send the drawing directly to illustrator CC, but I've always had a PNG / jpg picture I need to work more with the following steps to turn to a vector format true :

Object > sketching and line drawing > expand path

and of course all the layers went with the method above. And all original textures and the brush strokes are replaced by the command-line images...

And when I open a file in Photoshop, sketch a "version 2 of the adobe photoshop sketch file format is not supported in this version of adobe illustrator" message and the file that can open but was in jpg / png?

Did I miss something? Or it's because I don't have a full subscription to CC? :/

    Simple question first:

The error message does not appear to say anything - just click 'OK' and it works fine for me.

Regarding the conversion of the brushes and work, it's a little more difficult.

In Illustrator, (on my test), features all had a generic brush applied.   To get a better brush, I just clicked on the route of the path and then choose a new brush.

    AND

If you use Adobe Brush (mobile application), you can design your own brushes and their port on Photoshop or Illustrator.

    BUT

There are some things that I wasn't expecting with Adobe Illustrator brush that I had not experienced in Photoshop and use with Sketch/draw lots

The brush behaves differently in applications, so when you're in Adobe brush, there are buttons to help you see how it will look in different applications.

I can't figure out how to get my 'BASIC' brush library to synchronize with my CC Illustrator brush library.   I probably shouldn't have saved my brushes in there?

If you are planning a workflow from the sketch to the Illustrator, save your brushes in a custom library of CC (on your iPad), then the answer is: sort of.

Sketch brush behaves a little like Illustrator brushes, but it seems to be a png or another bitmap.

The brush for Illustrator is vector.

You can't record two.  I can't understand how you can duplicate, but you can change it back and save it.

Brush, create your personalized Sketch brushes.

    Make your Illustration

    Send your Illustrator Illustration

Return to the brush, convert your brushes for Illustrator

go to Illustrator, convert your artwork in vectorized text

It is NOT optimal, but it works.

  • Deletion of portions of brush strokes that have effects

I did a few brush strokes and to apply the "Gaussian blur" effect I want to erase the parts of the brush that span the outline of the drawing. Basically, you consider Illustrator brushes as if they were raster or pixel based as they are in Photoshop. They are not. You can not simply to clear areas of "overspray" outside the keyline. It's simply not how Illustrator brushes.

You would be better served by A) using shapes and fill with a gradient instead of using brushes at all. Or (B) add a clipping mask to hide the appearance of overspray of brushes.

The help files will explain the clipping mask away. Using the brush + mask will of method easily double or triple the amount of work required for any piece of color. Not to mention, possibly be responsible for the application to get a little slower, because it will have to redraw all the brush strokes that you add new ones. It's just not an effective of a large part of the working time if you want hard edges on the forms.

Essentially, you expect the results based on the raster in an application based on a vector. You need to re-evaluate your workflow.

Of course, you could always take your keyline vector in Photoshop and paint color here in the way that you try. This is what Photoshop.
