  Ok. Not quite what I was after as it seems to only affect only invited users, rather than the main account of ReadyCloud, which administers these permissions. Yet, I found that putting the SIN of offline backup and administer via a remote connection to a computer on the LAN are acceptable workaround.

  You mentioned you want to only read text files.

  If you are referring to a specific set of extensions, you can filter on this basis.

  ex: you want to only read .txt files, you can add an if condition as below:

  There is a single API called SetUpdateable in OAAttachmentTableBean.

  Sets whether attachments should be updated. If updated, the "Add attachments" button will appear. Update and delete icons will be activated.

  I have exactly the same problem.  Following the steps above did not work, folders/subfolders unchangeable rest.  I am the owner of the folder and subfolders.  I don't know yet how they became Read-Only to start.  Read-only on the individual files setting works correctly.  Changing the settings of file does not work.

  IMPORTANT EDIT:

  According to a message from the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
  You cannot view or change the read-only or system attributes
  To summarize, Windows does not include system or read-only folders settings (he was aware of these properties on the FILES however).  Individual applications that you use cannot ignore the State of read-only on a folder and can give an error.  In my situation, an application was trying to create a new file in a folder that has been marked read-only and honored the RO parameter and refuses to try to create the new file.

  To actually change these attributes, properties menu will not work.  The KB source:

  • If you click apply changes to this folder only , the read-only attribute is changed for all files in the folder. However, the read-only attribute is not changed for the folder, its subfolders or files in its subfolders.   To change these properties, the user must start a Terminal command line and execute the changes by hand, for example, this command:

  I have a tree table which shows a BOM. A BOM is a list of raw, subassemblies, assemblies, intermediate, sub-components, components, parts and the quantities of the two required for the production of a finished product.
  
  In this table tree, PARENT, CHILD, and QTY columns are displayed and are held in the BOM table. PARENT and CHILD have a LOV defined with a NAME attribute, which comes from the object View of PARTS. When I view the table tree on my. JSFF, PARENTS and CHILDREN show their number of DBSequence which had been assigned to them and is stored in the Schedule table, as opposed to the value of NAME through their LOV. A user would probably as the component name, rather than the sequence number.
  
  I could simply add this attribute of NAME in my view BOM with a JOIN clause object and display it like that, but it feels as if I am needlessly complicate my view object.

  So, the problem seems to be that attachments are stored as files read-only by Thunderbird and an application it can open without editing privileges, so you cannot change the. Read-only mode was chosen because these files are kept in a temporary location. For example, if you modify and save the back, they are deleted when Thunderbird is closed, so losing your changes. The idea is to force to save you to a different location. You should be able to do it, then open it from that location with full editing capabilities.

  For a permanent change in this behavior, go in the [tools >] Options > advanced > general tab and click on Config Editor there. After you confirm the warning, copy - paste browser.helperApps.deleteTempFileOnExit into the search bar and switch false to true by double clicking on it. Now, saved attachments are created with read/write permissions, but is more removed when Thunderbird is closed (i.e., stored in % AppData%\Local\Temp).
