  • How script a dialog box to display information?

    Hello.

    I have a dialog box that contains 7 lines and 2 columns to display information as such script:

    How do I do that?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    ScriptUI has tables, plus you can get is to use a listbox control. Depending on the version of your application, the lines will be written or not but I don't think that you can control.

    var w = new Window("dialog", "test");
    var lb = w.add("listbox{properties: {multiselect: false, numberOfColumns: 2, columnWidths: [60,60], columnTitles: ['A', 'B'], showHeaders: false}}");
    for (var k=1; k<8; k++){
        lb.add("item", (5*k).toString()).subItems[0].text = (11*(k+1)).toString();
        };

    w.show();

    You can play with the properties of creation.

    For me, if showHeaders is set to true, the columnTitles are displayed and the columnWidths property are respected.

    But if it is false, the columnTitles are not (as one would expect), but the columnWidths property are not respected...

  • How to fix dialog box opens with Adobe first Elements.exe - no disk

    I bought Adobe Photoshop and first elements 13 and s/n.

    I have a desktop running Windows 7.

    I installed Photoshop and Premiere Elements as a trial and entered s / n as required.

    I can open Photoshop without problem.

    Whenever I try to open the first items, a dialog box opens with this info.

    Adobe first elements.exe - no disk

    There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disc into the drive\device\harddisk1\dr1.
    Buttons-cancel, try again or continue

    I want to solve this problem.

    Any help is appreciated,

    William

    What you describe is a known problem with the elements first 13/13.1.

    Adobe gave us the solution that seems to be deleting the OldFilm.AEX file.

    Windows 7, 8 or 8.1 64-bit

    Local disk C

    Program Files

    Adobe

    Adobe Premiere Elements 13

    Plug-ins

    Commune

    NewBlue

    and in NewBlue folder is the file OldFilm.AEX that you remove or disable by renaming the file OldFilm.AEX in OldFilm.AEXOLD.

    Please let us know if it works for you, because it has for others.

    Thank you.

  • How to create dialog boxes in the Acrobat SDK kit?

    I need to pop up a dialog to register the first time that a user launches Acrobat after that my plug-in is installed. The user must enter user information that I store in a preferences file. I don't have much experience with the SDK or the VC ++, so detailed answers would help me the most.

    It seems that the dialog manager Adobe (SMA) can be the answer, but I can't find a download for the SDK.

    Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    I'm happy to hear his work.  It sounds like something simple in the project file - I'm sure that a search on the web will be a solution...

  • Experience in the creation of UIs compositable configuration dialog boxes

    The attached files are saved in 2009 LV. They are an experience. Please don't go out and say: "NEITHER said this is how you should do a dialog box options.»

    Oh - I guess I should mention - it is an experience of how make a dialog box options that can be reused, extended and modified for hierarchical systems. In other words, I can create a user interface of the options for the DAQ cards and then reuse this dialog box and add the options specifically for M-series cards, then reuse this dialog box and add options for a specific card. At each level, I can choose to reuse the existing set of options, I can reduce or disable some options, and I can add new options and when I hit the OK button, out POPs a unique configuration for the selected map object.

    That is the goal.

    This experience allows to get a part of that. I did a lot of work with the sub-panels with a transparent background.

    I hate the TAB key. I have no solution to the problem of how to set up the tab properly through the controls of these various sub-panels. Boring. And this project did lead me to an entry for the exchange of ideas for the transparent sub-panels of files: Sub-panels with 'make Transparent Panel' activated should allow mouse clicks switch to control...

    To take a look at this experience, unzip the attachment, open the project file and open Caller.vi. There are detailed instructions and explanations of what you see on the front of this VI. I put comments in various places. The code is ok quality - he will win no reward for the following style rules, but most of the wires straight race. All this is just to see how far I could go with this approach to compositing interfaces.

    Oh and if you learn something from all this, send a note of thanks for user tst. He had an initial framework that he worked with, happened to hit on a day where I could spend the time looking into it, and its code has inspired me to try this different approach. The end of it, I don't know how useful this approach will always for real production code, but it is a technique that I've never seen anywhere else... maybe someone out there will as inspired by my experience I've been by tst and will find a way to do it is better. Because, honestly, creating an extensible user interface infrastructure is a problem DIFFICULT and LV has several approaches to this kind of work, but none are particularly large. It would be nice to have a canonical "that's the way NOR and the CLAs say that we should write a dialog box options.

    And now, after having spent some time on 'R', I need to return to the part "D" in R & D...

    I enclose the original example, I sent to QA. It shows two other ways to arrange GUI - one by using a listbox control and using the vertically stacked sub-panels. I think that both are simpler than his approach.

    Notice that we use very different approaches in how the references of dialog boxes are acquired. Note that these two examples are proof of concept and have various problems.

    Anyway, if you want to see where this debate began and where my example was originally published, look here, where there is also a small video and an image.

  • File copy/delete dialog box is off the screen in a staggered multiple follow Setup

    I'm on Windows 8 on a ThinkPad W520 with a 1920 x 1080 screen and a secondary antibody NEC LCD2070NX 1600 x 1200 display connected via DisplayPort. The NEC is positioned to the left of the ThinkPad and raised higher than the ThinkPad display; the bottom of the NEC is near the center of the left edge of the ThinkPad.
    I put to the top of the poster in the Panel to take account of this arrangement:
    If I have a window of the Explorer of files open in the secondary monitor on the left and use this window to copy or remove some large files or folders, the progress dialog box is not visible. It is currently displayed in the "man no of land" above the main monitor and the secondary screen.
    The problem occurs when the secondary monitor is on the right, or above or below the primary. (I have tested some of these cases, but not completely). Also, this does not happen when the Explorer window is on the primary monitor. The problem does occur at all on Windows 7.
    Here's a film that illustrates the problem. For each image, I copied a large directory on the network and took a screenshot to display side by side and move the secondary display up to about 120 pixels in the control panel every time. You can see how the copy dialog box follows the secondary monitor vertically, but her left side is pinned to the left edge of the main screen, so he ends up disappearing from the screen.
    It is easy to see what is happening here: Explorer normally centers the dialog box of progression on the same screen as the Explorer window that opened the dialog box. This does not work as expected in the direction, but on the axis X to the left edge of the dialog box's get pinned to the left edge of the main screen.
    As the corner at the top left of the primary monitor is always (0,0), it acts as if the dialog box was positioned like this pseudo-code:
    monitor = getWindowMonitor (feed)
    dialog.centerOnMonitor (monitor)
    If dialog.left< 0:="">
    Dialog.Left = 0
    When the dialog box is off the screen, it's a bit disturbing, because it makes the impression that the Explorer window is locked. The only way I know to make visible the dialog box is with this exercise of the superpowers of keyboard shortcut:
    1. use Alt + space to open the system menu of the dialog box. The menu will open on the screen no matter where is the dialog box.
    2. Press m to move (or click on move).
    3. you will see a four-headed mouse cursor, just to fool you into thinking the mouse could do something now. It will not!
    4 instead of this, you have to hit any key of the arrow, which begins the displacement of the dialog box.
    5. now you can use the mouse (or the puree on the arrow keys) to move the dialog on the screen.

    A bit of good news...

    I just tested this on the latest version of Windows preview 10 technical, and it seems to be fixed.

  • Special features of loaing/record file dialog boxes

    I describe here, I'm going to build a web video on Adobe Flex game. I load and save files with the FileReference load() and save() methods. I have two quick questions about them on the specifics:

    Learn how to save dialog box (which is FileReference.save ()) to use only a certain file extension? (I did already with the loading.)

    How can I make the dialog boxes open a folder of some (like "C:/games/myGame / '), rather than the system default folder?

    Thank you!

    Documentation:

    You can specify a default file for recording method name

    When the file is saved successfully, the properties of the FileReference object are populated with the properties of the local file. The complete event is dispatched if the backup is successful.

    The FileReference and FileReferenceList classes do not let you set the location of the default file to the dialog box that the browse() or download() methods generate.

    The default location shown in the dialog box is the file most recently accessed, if that location can be determined, or the office.

    The classes you cannot read or write to the transferred file.

    They don't allow the SWF file that initiated the upload or download to access the uploaded or downloaded file or the location of the file on the disk of the user.

  • Dreamweaver Templates dialog box

    I work with several sites and enjoy the management of Dreamweaver templates.

    For the most part, it's great, but there is a very frustrating problem that I hoped would be addressed during the last three versions of DW:

    When I'm dealing with sites that have a lot of models and their nested models, the Model dialog box is not sufficient. I'm going to lose minutes trying to find any given model because:

    (a) you can't resize the dialog box, then you can only display on 6 or 7 models at a time, which does not cut on large Internet sites.

    (b) they are understandable order - not alphabetical, not in the order in which they were created - it seems almost randomly

    Here's the box I'm talking about. I get it by clicking Edit-> Templates-> apply the model to the Page:

    select_template.jpg

    I worked with DW years but I don't know everything, so maybe miss an easier way to do it.

    Maybe it's a way I can apply templates and/or discovers the hierarchy of the model without having to use the extremely small and archaic dialog box, or can I change a file or registry entry to remedy?

    Thank you!

    Thank you for taking the time to develop your work scenario.  I have a much better idea of what your needs are and can see how the nested models can meet your needs [rare].

    If you work in DWCS4 (the latest version), then you have already seen how the Model dialog boxes have changed - so now I'm confused.  Maybe I don't think of the correct dialog box.  My answer assumed you were referring to the FILE. New dialog box from the model.  Is it not what you wanted?

  • How to close this dialog box modal blocking and open a new one after a few minutes

    It's my method to display a modal dialog box:

    public static dialogue handleInactivityDialog (String msg, int [] values) {}
    Diálogo dialog = new dialog box (msg, new String() {"Yes", "No"}, values, 2, null);
    int i = dialogo.doModal ();
    If (I == 1) {}
    try {}
    do something
    Utils.popScreenForLogout ();
    } catch (Exception e) {}
    Utils.forceLogout ();
    }
    }
    return of diálogo;

    }

    After 3 minutes, this dialogue must be closed and should be opened a new. The new dialog box must be closed after 1 minute.

    I have no idea on how to do as DIalog.doModal () is a blocking operation.

    Thanks in advance!

    You can start a timertask before calling doModal, for example.

    I'm also interested in how to do this without the use of a step.

    But, if you are ready to use a step for this, you can create a useful first step (without borders) with its owner being your current stage. Then, you can call the function showAndWait on stage that allows to block the thread of your application. For example, I implemented a DialogStage like this:

    package hs.mediasystem.util;

    import javafx.animation.KeyFrame;
    import javafx.animation.KeyValue;
    import javafx.animation.Timeline;
    import javafx.event.EventHandler;
    import javafx.scene.effect.ColorAdjust;
    import javafx.stage.Modality;
    import javafx.stage.Stage;
    import javafx.stage.StageStyle;
    import javafx.stage.Window;
    import javafx.stage.WindowEvent;
    import javafx.util.Duration;

    public class DialogStage extends Stage implements Dialog {

      public DialogStage() {
        super(StageStyle.TRANSPARENT);

        this.setTitle("MediaSystem-dialog");

        initModality(Modality.APPLICATION_MODAL);
      }

      protected void setParentEffect(Stage parent) {
        ColorAdjust colorAdjust = new ColorAdjust();

        Timeline fadeOut = new Timeline(
          new KeyFrame(Duration.ZERO,
            new KeyValue(colorAdjust.brightnessProperty(), 0)
          ),
          new KeyFrame(Duration.seconds(1),
            new KeyValue(colorAdjust.brightnessProperty(), -0.5)
          )
        );

        parent.getScene().getRoot().setEffect(colorAdjust);

        fadeOut.play();
      }

      protected void removeParentEffect(Stage parent) {
        parent.getScene().getRoot().setEffect(null);
      }

      protected void recenter() {
        Window parent = getOwner();

        sizeToScene();

        setX(parent.getX() + parent.getWidth() / 2 - DialogStage.this.getWidth() / 2);
        setY(parent.getY() + parent.getHeight() / 2 - DialogStage.this.getHeight() / 2);
      }

      @Override
      public final void showDialog(final Stage parent, boolean synchronous) {
        initOwner(parent);

        setParentEffect(parent);

            recenter();
            onShow();
          }
        });

        if(synchronous) {
          showAndWait();
        }
        else {

  • Know how OR example 'select the dialogue signal' its dialog box

    Hi, guys!

    It should be a very simple problem. I was looking for examples OR to learn how to create a dialog box to set the parameters. "Select the signal dialog box" is nice, but I can't understand how it works through code in the block diagram (it seems too easy!). and I copy all the entire schema in an another white vi, may not work (does not display the dialog box)... can someone tell me where is the trick? THX!

    Hello

    I don't know what your question.

    Want to know how a VI is made to work like a dialog box? You said that you have copied the block diagram for a new vi. I guess her you missed on the properties of VI. Try the following:

    1 Select the properties of the VI VI, on the file Menu, go to the window appearance properties in the menu dropdown.

    2. Select "Dialogue" as the appearance option and click on 'Ok '.

    3. save your vi and Run.

    If this is not what you are looking for, please explain once again.

  • How to stop the dialog box advertising formats 'Windows 10' to come on my Windows 7 computer - I don't want that!

    Hello world.

    I have Windows 7, which I am pretty happy with.  I don't want to upgrade to Windows 10 because I think that's worse than my old system and were particularly impressed by their general customer service and after-sales.

    However, whenever I log in, I get a dialog box 'update of Windows 10' to come.  Its really annoying and I want to stop it.

    Does anyone know how?  Thank you.

  • How to freeze my application until the dialog box is closed?

    Hi everyone, I wonder how to freeze my application until the dialog box is closed.

    Please look at my code first:

    inputDialog=new InputReadMessageNumberDialog(selectedGroup.getName(),msg,numPost,choices,values);
    UiApplication.getUiApplication().invokeLater(new Runnable()
    {
      public void run()
      {
       inputDialog.show();
       if(inputDialog.doModal()==Dialog.OK){
       System.out.println("FROM: " + inputDialog.getFrom()+" TO:"+inputDialog.getTo());
       }
      }
    });

    As I throw the runtime exception, then I tried to do this:

    inputDialog=new InputReadMessageNumberDialog(selectedGroup.getName(),msg,numPost,choices,values);
    UiApplication.getUiApplication().invokeLater(new Runnable()
    {
      public void run()
      {
       inputDialog.show();

      }
    });while(true){  synchronized(this){    if(inputDialog.isClosed) break;    else wait(500);  }}if(inputDialog.doModal()==Dialog.OK){
    System.out.println("FROM: " + inputDialog.getFrom()+" TO:"+inputDialog.getTo());
    }

    She also throws an exception too. Now I don't know how to solve this problem.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you!

    Steve

    While I have deep religious convictions against the complicity of an author of the modal dialog box,

    I can say that this code seems to work and these dialog box classes are easy to use. If you

    Look at the API these altneratives will be pretty obvious.

    but there are two usages mixed with a be commented (both

    Work as much as I KNOW).

    String [] ch = new String() {"ACCEPT", "REJECT"};
    int [] vx is new int [] {Dialog.YES, Dialog.NO};.
    D = new dialog box dialog (m_tc, ch, vx, vx [0], new Bitmap (1,1));

    D = new dialog box dialog box (Dialog.D_YES_NO, m_tc, Dialog.NO, Bitmap (1,1), 0) new;
    F = d.getFont (police);
    d.setFont (f.derive (Font.PLAIN, f.getHeight () - 1));
    int x = d.doModal ();

    This will block your thread until there is something to "xx."

    However, I must reiterate that you evaluate the options before deciding that you need

    to lock all the other options. This is especially true in this environment where things

    might take some time and resources are limited.

    If you want to hang your entire application, no doubt you

    can define a volatile indicator around the doModal call and have other threads check it.

  • How to limit the length of a text field in a dialog box (ADM)

    Hi all

    I need to limit the length of a field in a dialog box (ADM) edit_text, but char_limit doesn't seem to work, it's my code the problem ?

    {
    char_width: 8.
    height: 100,.
    item_id: 'Rete ',.
    type: 'edit_text. "
    Multiline: true,
    char_limit: 5.
    Width: 500,
    }

    If not, maybe I can use events to do the same thing with the onKeyStroke event but I don't know how to use the event in a dialog box (ADM) or if it is still possible...

    Any idea?

    Thank you for your help.

    There are two events that can be used to check the length of the text,

    The first is the action event for the text field, which is called when the field loses focus, it is a member of the purpose of dialogue with the same name as the item_id.  This event could also be used to update another field in the dialog box that indicates the number of characters, you may even have a small picture of alert which becomes visible to make it obvious that there is a problem.

    The other event, as already mentioned, is the validate event.  This allows to block the exit from the dialog box and display a popup to alert to the user.

    You will find some examples of dialogs here:

    Take a look at the pages resize tool dialog box.  It will give you some ideas of what can be done.

    There is a plug-in Acrobat for creating dialogs here:

    It's a Visual drag and drop Editor.  You can download and use for free for 10 days.

  • Modal dialog box non-blocking

    Hello world

    I want to display a modal dialog box, capture user input and use it for further processing, as below:

    showWindow(); PopupManager.createPopUp () calls
    code to deal with user input

    My problem is that the showWindow() call is non-blocking, i.e. the code to deal with user input is executed immediately after the posting of the modal window. How can I do to run when the modal window is closed?

    Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Rajesh Jayaprakash

    You can register a listener for the event of closure of the pop-up window and then on this listener, call the method that you want to run when the window is closed.
